Idyllic location, great facilities (including the spa), with excellent food and very friendly and hospitable staff throughout our visit. The terrace in particular was a magical place to relax and enjoy a leisurely breakfast. We would like to go back again.

Beautiful views, amazing room! I had a massage with Veronica who is the best. Cannot recommend highly enough! Parking is on street and has not been a problem for us, you can unload outside the reception. our room was across the road from the hotel and was perfect. Peaceful and beautiful views. We haven't stayed in the rooms in the hotel itself but I would definitely recommend the rooms across the road. Breakfast was great too.

This is not 4star hotel. Old, damaged, dirty furniture, poorly functioning air conditioning, terrible stuffiness in the spa and the ubiquitous smell of chlorine.

Ein sehr schönes kleines und ruhiges Hotel. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das Frühstück! Es war sehr lecker. Der Poolbereich ist zwar klein, bietet aber genügend Platz. Liegen waren immer frei. Die Zimmer sind Standardmäßig eingerichtet. Uns hat ein Spiegel im Zimmer gefehlt. Sonst waren die Zimmer nicht sonderlich modern aber in Ordnung. Parken ist eine Katastrophe. Im Dorf gibt es einen kleinen Laden wo alle notwendigen Sachen zu bekommen sind. Allerdings etwas teurer als im Supermarkt. Wir würden das Hotel auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen.

Las vistas son espectaculares, el desayuno es muy completo y de una calidad excelente, la piscina es un paraíso y el personal de comedor, recepcion y limpieza es muy amable y profesional. Es un hotel en el que no se puede estar mas a gusto. Sin duda para volver una y mil veces.

The hotel is in a great location and really has a very nice view from the sea view rooms. The staff are friendly and the breakfast is relatively plentiful for the size of the hotel and of a high quality. However, the rooms are a disaster for the price (we paid €255 per night for a deluxe double room). The furnishings are ancient and don't even come close to resembling the photos, neither the colour nor the furnishings. The wardrobe doors were so crooked that they almost fell off, the walls were dirty and had streaks of paint on them and there weren't even any slots for the lock in the bathroom door frame. The slots were nicked with a knife after we reported it to reception and instead of being given a new, clean and tidy room, we were only given an apology card with two cocktails on the house. Unfortunately, the walls and ceilings are very noisy and there are hardly any places to eat in the city. The few dishes in the hotel bistro are delicious. The spa area is in a kind of basement and even if everything there is kept simple and not ugly, it is not worth spending a whole day there to relax. The roof terrace with pool and a great view is better. Conclusion: The location and view are great, the rooms are an absolute flop for the price.

Dear Maristel Hotel, We had a great time at your hotel. We loved the breakfast and services. Very nice terracces and pool area. Parking was always available. But we had a room in the second building and we had the feeling that the facilities and conditions of the rooms are not in the same standard as the rooms at the main hotel building. Our A/C was old and wasn't strong and well working. In the bathroom was a smell out of the sink in the morning and in general the bathroom interior seems to get older. Also the toilet was leaking and there was water on the floor. For the pricing of 160 EUR per night, it might be a bit too much?! For a 160 EUR room per night we expected actually a different standard. For my friend was the bed also too soft. The mattress was laid out. All in all we loved our stay, the hotel, especially the breakfast and the beautiful main hotel building with pool and sun terrace! Wir haben mit Meerblick gebucht. Klar man sieht das Meer am Horizont. Es werden Parkplätze am Hotel versprochen. Es gibt keine, nur öffentliche, und davon zu wenige. Die ohnehin kleine Speisekarte war während unseres Aufenthalt nur teilweise verfügbar. Einen Zimmerservice, Reinigung und Bettenmachen, Handtüchertausch, gab es während unseres 4 tägigen Aufenthalt quasi nicht. Vielleicht weil Wochenende war. Ich frage mich wofür dieses Hotel 4 Sterne bekommen hat. Ich werde es niemals mehr buchen.

Wir hatten das Hotel hauptsächlich aufgrund der Lage und des Blicks ins Tal gebucht. Aus unserer Sicht liegt es preislich auch etwas über dem Durchschnitt. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Meerblick gebucht. Allerdings bekamen wir ein Zimmer, bei dem nur die halbe Bucht zu sehen war und die halbe Sicht war die Seitenwand des Hotels. Deshalb haben wir vor Ort noch einmal einen Aufpreis für einen Premium Raum bezahlt. Der Blick von diesem Zimmer war traumhaft. Der Raum selbst war aber sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Das Bad sehr alt, Fugen defekt, fleckige Fließen. Im Zimmer selbst die Möbel sehr abgewohnt und die Bodenfließen lagen teilweise hohl und klapperten beim Darübergehen. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung, konnte aber mit den anderen Hotels auf unserer Rundreise nicht mithalten. In Summe war der Preis für die Qualität zu hoch. Fazit: Sehr schöne Lage, aber Sanierungsstau.

A lovely hotel for a relaxing break. We enjoyed using the indoor spa and reading by the pool outside. Breakfast was excellent and on a lovely terrace outside. Very comfortable, clean, large room with a small balcony and a sea view. Staff were very friendly. Highly recommend.

Vi blev först ganska besvikna på det rummet vi först fick, det motsvarade inte bilderna. Där var tomt på väggarna och väldigt kalt. Vi uppgraderade oss till en svit sista natten, vilket var toppen! Skicket är äldre men det är väldigt rent, personalen är trevlig och omgivningen är fantastisk! Finns dock inte så mycket att göra i byn, men kan starkt rekommendera en resa hit för att bara koppla av och njuta!

El hotel tiene buena infraestructura, con spa, piscina y restaurante. Los empleados son amables pero, pocos por la cantidad de personas que hay en hotel. La habitación es buena, con una cama confortable. Lo que ha pesado mucho es tema de lá limpeza, hemos notado en diferentes dias que no se habia limpiado bien la habitación. También las toallas tenían manchas, que parecían de maquillaje.
El hotel tiene buena infraestructura, con spa, piscina y restaurante. Los empleados son amables pero, pocos por la cantidad de personas que hay en hotel. La habitación es buena, con una cama confortable. Lo que ha pesado mucho es tema de lá limpeza, hemos notado en diferentes dias que no se habia limpiado bien la habitación. También las toallas tenían manchas, que parecían de maquillaje.

Very clean, loved the balcony in our suite, and the spa was great. Excellent buffet breakfast. Unfortunately the sofa bed wasn't very comfortable, but overall, it was a luxurious and enjoyable stay.

Wir hatten das Hotel hauptsächlich aufgrund der Lage und des Blicks ins Tal gebucht. Aus unserer Sicht liegt es preislich auch etwas über dem Durchschnitt. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Meerblick gebucht. Allerdings bekamen wir ein Zimmer, bei dem nur die halbe Bucht zu sehen war und die halbe Sicht war die Seitenwand des Hotels. Deshalb haben wir vor Ort noch einmal einen Aufpreis für einen Premium Raum bezahlt. Der Blick von diesem Zimmer war traumhaft. Der Raum selbst war aber sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Das Bad sehr alt, Fugen defekt, fleckige Fließen. Im Zimmer selbst die Möbel sehr abgewohnt und die Bodenfließen lagen teilweise hohl und klapperten beim Darübergehen. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung, konnte aber mit den anderen Hotels auf unserer Rundreise nicht mithalten. In Summe war der Preis für die Qualität zu hoch. Fazit: Sehr schöne Lage, aber Sanierungsstau.

Beautiful views, amazing room! I had a massage with Veronica who is the best. Cannot recommend highly enough! Parking is on street and has not been a problem for us, you can unload outside the reception. our room was across the road from the hotel and was perfect. Peaceful and beautiful views. We haven't stayed in the rooms in the hotel itself but I would definitely recommend the rooms across the road. Breakfast was great too.

A lovely hotel for a relaxing break. We enjoyed using the indoor spa and reading by the pool outside. Breakfast was excellent and on a lovely terrace outside. Very comfortable, clean, large room with a small balcony and a sea view. Staff were very friendly. Highly recommend.

A very well run and friendly hotel. Magnificent views. The building itself is nicely proportioned and well built with no fussy details. We had a junior suite which was a good size, one small gripe, the room ac is fairly ineffective, meaning the nights were pretty warm.

Ein sehr schönes kleines und ruhiges Hotel. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das Frühstück! Es war sehr lecker. Der Poolbereich ist zwar klein, bietet aber genügend Platz. Liegen waren immer frei. Die Zimmer sind Standardmäßig eingerichtet. Uns hat ein Spiegel im Zimmer gefehlt. Sonst waren die Zimmer nicht sonderlich modern aber in Ordnung. Parken ist eine Katastrophe. Im Dorf gibt es einen kleinen Laden wo alle notwendigen Sachen zu bekommen sind. Allerdings etwas teurer als im Supermarkt. Wir würden das Hotel auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen.

Dear Maristel Hotel, We had a great time at your hotel. We loved the breakfast and services. Very nice terracces and pool area. Parking was always available. But we had a room in the second building and we had the feeling that the facilities and conditions of the rooms are not in the same standard as the rooms at the main hotel building. Our A/C was old and wasn't strong and well working. In the bathroom was a smell out of the sink in the morning and in general the bathroom interior seems to get older. Also the toilet was leaking and there was water on the floor. For the pricing of 160 EUR per night, it might be a bit too much?! For a 160 EUR room per night we expected actually a different standard. For my friend was the bed also too soft. The mattress was laid out. All in all we loved our stay, the hotel, especially the breakfast and the beautiful main hotel building with pool and sun terrace! But it comparison services and pricing it could be more faire for rooms that are in the second building. Have a great week ahead, Laura

Not as great as expected. No bike renta available though it is advertised as a main thing, you have to reserve 7 days ahead- no info about it anywhere. Hot tub was cold. Room had no body wash, seemed like decor was missing. Breakfast was great though staff seems to be busy and stressed not too guest oriented.

Das Hotel selbst war ok, allerdings sehr hellhörig, kein Parkplatz. Das Frühstück war gut, das Restaurant hatte Höhen und Tiefen im Service, war tw. nicht wirklich hilfsbereit. Einmal sind wir gegangen, weil einige Speisen nicht verfügbar waren und man bei anderen keine Bereitschaft hatte, auch nur die geringste Abweichung zur Karte vorzunehmen. Schade!

I stayed at Maristel with a friend and we had a lovely experience. The staff were friendly and very helpful, the breakfast was lovely, healthy and fresh - Exactly what we needed and wanted. The only downside is that there isn't much parking outside the hotel, and it fills up quickly

Das Maristel liegt an der Hauptstraße, und damit wenig erholsam. Ab 6:00 Uhr ist die Nacht zu ende. Lärm von der Straße und auch vom Hotel. Man denkt man liegt in einer Fabrikhalle. Wir haben mit Meerblick gebucht. Klar man sieht das Meer am Horizont. Es werden Parkplätze am Hotel versprochen. Es gibt keine, nur öffentliche, und davon zu wenige. Die ohnehin kleine Speisekarte war während unseres Aufenthalt nur teilweise verfügbar. Einen Zimmerservice, Reinigung und Bettenmachen, Handtüchertausch, gab es während unseres 4 tägigen Aufenthalt quasi nicht. Vielleicht weil Wochenende war. Ich frage mich wofür dieses Hotel 4 Sterne bekommen hat. Ich werde es niemals mehr buchen.

Das Hotel selbst war ok, allerdings sehr hellhörig, kein Parkplatz. Das Frühstück war gut, das Restaurant hatte Höhen und Tiefen im Service, war tw. nicht wirklich hilfsbereit. Einmal sind wir gegangen, weil einige Speisen nicht verfügbar waren und man bei anderen keine Bereitschaft hatte, auch nur die geringste Abweichung zur Karte vorzunehmen. Schade!

I stayed at Maristel with a friend and we had a lovely experience. The staff were friendly and very helpful, the breakfast was lovely, healthy and fresh - Exactly what we needed and wanted. The only downside is that there isn't much parking outside the hotel, and it fills up quickly

Las vistas son espectaculares, el desayuno es muy completo y de una calidad excelente, la piscina es un paraíso y el personal de comedor, recepcion y limpieza es muy amable y profesional. Es un hotel en el que no se puede estar mas a gusto. Sin duda para volver una y mil veces.

The hotel is in a great location and really has a very nice view from the sea view rooms. The staff are friendly and the breakfast is relatively plentiful for the size of the hotel and of a high quality. However, the rooms are a disaster for the price (we paid €255 per night for a deluxe double room). The furnishings are ancient and don't even come close to resembling the photos, neither the colour nor the furnishings. The wardrobe doors were so crooked that they almost fell off, the walls were dirty and had streaks of paint on them and there weren't even any slots for the lock in the bathroom door frame. The slots were nicked with a knife after we reported it to reception and instead of being given a new, clean and tidy room, we were only given an apology card with two cocktails on the house. Unfortunately, the walls and ceilings are very noisy and there are hardly any places to eat in the city. The few dishes in the hotel bistro are delicious. The spa area is in a kind of basement and even if everything there is kept simple and not ugly, it is not worth spending a whole day there to relax. The roof terrace with pool and a great view is better. Conclusion: The location and view are great, the rooms are an absolute flop for the price.

The room had no balcony and the window directly faced a neighbouring balcony, so we had to keep the curtains closed for privacy. The bed was uncomfortable, with only one very thin pillow, cleanliness was average. Several basic amenities were missing upon arrival, including a pool towel, usable safe, body wash, lotion and conditioner. Despite reporting this, the room was still not serviced by 5 PM the following day. The complimentary bottle of wine included with our booking was also never provided, and the Wi-Fi was unreliable. Breakfast was disappointing as well. At 9 AM, despite service continuing until 11 AM, several items were unavailable, including eggs, and a hot-food tray was completely empty. This was particularly frustrating given the hotel’s policy prohibiting guests from bringing their own food or drinks into the room or hotel property.

We loved our stay at the hotel. Staff were really friendly, breakfast was a highlight & the focaccias at the pool were delicious! The town is a lovely sleepy village, and was perfect for a quiet long weekend. We’d definitely come back!
