Super 8 by Wyndham Hazleton

The room showing here on the website looks just like it does when we arrived. The rooms have been newly remodeled, with vinyl plank flooring, the bathroom area looks to be made of a marble tiling, and the sink and backsplash are very pretty as well. The tub has a handrail and non-slip Surface. This property, as it is currently a super eight, was previously a non-branded motel and it has the doors facing the outside. It is right off the interstate so it is really easy to get to. When we arrived, we found out that it looks to be The kind of motel that construction workers stay in my friend and I felt reasonably safe however, another car with some ladies pulled up and asked what I thought, is this a safe location so they were concerned as well. As far as the breakfast goes, well that is very poor. The breakfast consisted of coffee, some apple juice, orange juice, two baskets that held a few apples and bananas, And a plastic container with little Debbie’s oatmeal, cakes, some honey buns, some miniature prepackaged muffins, and some other type of food bar on the bottom. There was no cereal no milk nothing like that at all. We have stayed at other properties. That were what I would consider much nicer and had a very nice breakfast for about the same price. Overall, I would give it four stars, the newly remodeled room it was nice and clean, the owner and his wifewere at the front desk and they were pleasant Aunt as well. But the breakfast, I’ll just go ahead and say it it was poor.,

The window of my ground floor would not lock. I was told that they were doing some upgrades, which was evident in some rooms nearby. They informed me in the morning that they had started the process of taking care of this safety issue. Otherwise, the room was very clean and comfortable. I enjoyed my stay there

Great place ,friendly staff ,everything remodel in the rooms new furniture bed bathroom sinks ,air conditioner and heater ,refrigerator and microwave, and coffee in the rooms,smoking rooms available if needed,breakfast available, I had a hard time looking around for a place

The staff was very friendly upon check in and check out. The pet fee is very reasonable at $10 a night. The location is right off the highway so it is convenient if you are traveling. My room had recently been remodeled and everything was excellent except the part of the bathroom where the toilet and the shower were located had a drop ceiling that was full of water stains and the lighting fixture also had many stains. Even though the rest of the room was extremely nice, I do not understand why this part of the room was not cleaned up and remodeled. If that could be taken care of the room would be superb.

This is a great place to stop when driving long distance to your destination. It was fairly priced, the rooms were a lot nicer than I expected and the staff was AMAZING! They're pet friendly and only charge $10 compared to other places that charge up to $50 we lost our cat who is nervous when traveling and the manager belief us go through every book and cranny including the ceiling tiles in the bathroom. He went above and beyond by rewinding security takes to help us see if she snuck past us out the door. Fortunately, after leaving all of it our cat popped up in the window and we were on out way. I highly recommend this spot for the weary traveller. Especially if you have a pet with you.

Easy access to Wal-Mart, and highways, uick check in

The rooms are updated and comfortable, the parking was easy to get into, however the driveway has a pothole as you get into the property.

The staff were pleasant and courteous. The room was spotless and comfortable. Even with two queen beds, there was plenty of room. We chose this hotel because of their friendly pet policy, but as stated was pleasantly surprised about the room.

DIRTY DIRTY DIRTY! run down, Dilapidated, dirty walls, linens, ac unit, bathroom vent disgusting, beds sucked, noisy because the door doesn't seal, no elevator, gross, hole in the bathroom door, crappy paint job, graffiti on the mirror, weird coating on the towels. What a DUMP!!!! I've stayed in better places for half the price. No breakfast!

Smoke Free but smelled of smoke. Tub didn’t drain. Fan didn’t work. Room was old even after renovation. Price was good.

Beautifully cleaned rooms and bathroom. This was newly remodeled Super 8 and it was so wonderful. 5/5 stars. I most definitely will stay here again the next time we go up to PA to visit relarives. The husband and wife team owners were so sweet and friendly. All around excellent stay!

We had our second stay in a week - once on our way down south and then again on our way back home. We came back as the bed was comfortable and the area was quiet. Although we killed a cockroach the first stay, we figured it was an isolated incident. However, unfortunately we had the same experience the second time around. So just a warning to be careful here!

Nice updated room. Very clean. Comfortable. Nice shower/ toilet area. Continental breakfast. Could use a better place to hang clothes... instead of just hooks. Needs a towel bar by the sink, too. Weird placement of the air conditioning unit in the sink area... froze while putting makeup on!

Had a good time. I gave it a three because of really disruptive neighbors and the shower would go from really hot to super cold randomly. The room was clean, everything worked. I would stay again if I was in the area again. I just know people use these reviews for children and I wanted to be honest about the shower situation & the loud neighbors. A lot of the loud plays into the walls being paper thin.

This was a convenient and decent location with a comfortable bed. There was no outlet available at the desk and the TV did not work. Some areas outside could be tidied up a bit.

Very nice room for a Super 8, very impressed with the renovation

Very welcoming staff. The rooms have been remodeled nicely. I would suggest to the hotel ownership that they weatherstrip the door to the rooms. The door to the exterior has no weather stripping so air and noise come right in. Overall a good stay though.

This place need competent maintenance. SHOWER HEAD DIES NIT WORK!!’ Tv is not paired to remote. Come on people. Owner needs to be kicked in the ass.

Pleasantly surprised how nice the room was, clean and everything modern and nice. Dislikes, the smoke detector was missing. Room had excellent bright lighting with 4 recessed LED fixtures, all 4 controlled by 3 switches around the room, problem that was the only lighting, no table lamps or any other. So if you want a light while in bed, watching TV, getting up in the AM to go to the bathroom, ALL 4 bright lights come on. No clock. I think by code there should be info in the packet on the back of the door there was none.

Not the newest building, but well-maintained and up-to-date. New-ish furnishings and spacious rooms.

Our room looked to be recently updated and was clean. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The TV remote was an old universal that wouldn't turn it on and the volume button didn't work. The door to the room was extremely hard to open and had to be slammed to shut. Once shut you had to put your shoulder into it to get dead bolt to work. The exhaust fan didn't work the shower lost pressure down to a trickle when I assume someone else turned there's on. Would I stay there again ?? Probably. The price was right and they let me check in early so that helped.

When I first walked in, there was no greeting at all. Two staff members started speaking in their own language, which I couldn’t understand, and they didn’t communicate with me directly. They asked for my name three different times even though I had already completed my check-in online, just as they requested. Despite that, they asked me to redo all the paperwork. I told the staff member that everything was already done online, but about 10 minutes later, he still asked me to sign paperwork again. When I mentioned it again, he just gave me a big, fake smile. The staff seemed completely lost and unorganized. Overall, the experience was very unprofessional.

There were young people partying in their room and in the parking lot and nobody did anything about.it. We got very little sleep and it kept the kids awake. I doubt we will stay here again.

Property was full of roaches and ended up sleeping in the car. When we got there to check in there was no one on site and we had to wait about an hour till they let us into our room. The cameras outside are broken and the fire alarm does not work, it is incredibly unsafe and I would NEVER stay there again or wish this upon my worst enemy.

This hotel offered us the extended days on a day by day basis as we came to help a daughter. The hotel was a great value and very clean and updated. Very nice stay. very accommodating.

Good sleep cold shower as soon as I mentioned it to the front desk they rectified the situation and the cold shower was no more

I was in the area for a funeral. The location is perfect for food and interstate access.

We come to the area often to visit family. This was the first time we tried the Super 8 and were pleasantly surprised. Very comfortable beds, great location. We have stayed at many hotels in the area but this will be are go to in the future.

Right off the interstate not many people around seems safe

Its a motel so I was not expecting much. If you need a place to stay just overnight this will probably be fine. The TV, even it was 50 inches, was stuck in store mode so bars on the side kept showing up and when i asked the staff they didnt know how to remove them. The bathroom door had so much paint on it, it wouldnt shut. The "free breakfast" is juice coffee and prepackaged breakfast things.

This is one of the lowest cost hotels in Hazleton, so you need to have realistic expectations. You are going to get exactly what you paid for. The area around the hotel is dirty and cluttered. The room was clean but in need of many repairs. The towels are not absorbent. The bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly. It was very quiet at night. The only serious complaint I had was the "breakfast". It is awful. Just a couple high sugar snacks, almost empty juice dispenser, and apples.

This was a very nice hotel. The staff was really friendly and excellent. The breakfast was okay. It was minimal but the place was clean and I would stay there again

Bathtub had no plug, shower didn’t work and also no hair dryer. Breakfast was extremely limited, not even toast.

Disappointed in the breakfast , very limited choices. No bread, toaster, cereal, milk, yogurt.

Didn’t like that there was not coffee available 24 hours a day. Breakfast items were very limited.
