Warning - construction work on entire level 10! Incredibly expensive for what is no more than a 3 star hotel. Recommend staying elsewhere for a far more fair price based on what is offered at this hotel. Bed was not comfortable and construction noise made it worse. There is no gym as advertised as it’s on level 10 which is closed.

The hotel is somewhat deep in the park itself. This is slightly annoying for those with luggage, as you might need to find and wait for the shuttle bus, but it means that it's actually very close to chaoping station, which is where most people begin their hike, and you can always take the train to chaoping station. The property itself is well maintained and clean, and the room are spacious and well equipped. There is a very nice observation deck on the 8th floor with one of the best views of the Alishan sunset (many of the other observation points can be blocked by trees during spring/summer). And as a bonus, you don't have to trek back to your hotel in the dark.

The hotel is very near to all the main attractions in Alishan. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Buffet dinner offers a variety of delicious choices. The old wing of the hotel is under renovation, otherwise it’s another nice sight-seeing spot with history.

The property is dated . But is is one of the only two accommodations in the park. The buffet dinner and breakfast has nothing to write home about. The shuttle bus only stops at the tourist information. The shuttle bus could have stopped at the train station but it would not. That makes people with luggage very difficult.

Top notch hotel in Alishan. Very nice hotel with viewing platform for sunset and night sky. Convenient shuttle to train station area for transportation and early ride for sunrise train. Cannot ask for anything more. Very good experience for staying in Alishan and good memory forever!

Best location in the area. We chose the half board option. It came with buffet breakfast and dinner, with great varieties, good quality and diligent services from local food, asian dish to western dish, served in a banquet like setting. Hotel offers shuttle bus which is a great service to save our energy for the forest trail surrounding the hotel. As a suggestion, we wish the hotel gives reminder of how to get to the pickup spot right before our arrival. The hotel facilities are plenty from a 50s cafe to garden to observation deck and free self service laundry. Rooms are clean and spacious, service is polite and diligent.. We enjoyed the stay and recommend.

Great and convenient location on the middle of the park. But property was poorly maintained. Dining staff was very nice, especially manager named Dennis. Receptionists were not patient when I couldn’t understand them since they were speaking so fast, and with masks on. They also asked all the questions and making me decide when time to book transportation for sunrise, and dining, and room cleaning, and checking out during my check in. I was so exhausted from riding up the mountains for 4 hours.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast buffet and dinner buffet. Very nice and comfortable room (though the caulking in parts of the bathroom could be redone—slightly moldy). Excellent location in the heart of the forest recreation area. I would recommend, and would stay here again.

Beautiful hotel located inside Alishan Park. The staffs were friendly, the room was clean and well-appointed, and very spacious. There are delicious and wide selections available for both breakfast and dinner. We will definitely be returning again soon.

Fantastic location, just right next to the entrance of various trails. Room is spacious and clean but walls are a little thin so you can hear sounds from the next room. Complimentary drinks and snacks are provided in the room. Service is prompt and attentive. Buffet breakfast and dinner selection is wonderful.

The location is prefect for walking around the Alishan. They also provide free shuttle buses. The staff and quality of service are excellent. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast and dinner a lots. However, there was some weird machinery noises at night. They were not loud but noticeable at quiet nights. Not sure it was related to the renovation or air conditioners. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel if it fits to your budget.

For the price, we expect higher standards. I have never seen a lighted exit sign above the door inside the room! This kept the otherwise nicely dark room lighted and thus affected our sleep. The mattress was way too hard for my liking. Still using old fashioned key. The historical building rooms need some modernization and not worth the price.

The hotel has a great location inside the National Forest, with major trails right outside the front door. That is a big plus compared to other options requiring a shuttle bus ride in and out of the park. But we found the hotel significantly over-priced even with this ‘big plus’ of location. Our room was in the older part of the hotel - a traditional Japanese style room. The room was quite small and cramped with few surfaces for our belongings. The bathroom was also very small. An update is needed. The meal plan was very nice - all meals in the main dining room with a buffet. The food was very good and plentiful. Overall we enjoyed our stay but felt the price tag was too much.

Conveniently located and comfortable rooms. Alishan is beautiful and very walkable from this hotel. However, given high cost of stay, front desk could be more accommodating to international travelers in explaining that there is no direct transportation from outside the park to the hotel and other important information.

The location is prefect for walking around the Alishan. They also provide free shuttle buses. The staff and quality of service are excellent. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast and dinner a lots. However, there was some weird machinery noises at night. They were not loud but noticeable at quiet nights. Not sure it was related to the renovation or air conditioners. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel if it fits to your budget.

The property is dated . But is is one of the only two accommodations in the park. The buffet dinner and breakfast has nothing to write home about. The shuttle bus only stops at the tourist information. The shuttle bus could have stopped at the train station but it would not. That makes people with luggage very difficult.

The hotel is at the center of all of the attractions: Sister’s ponds, 3 generation trees, etc. Dinner and breakfast were great with lots of foods. Yes, this hotel is pricey but it’s worth it.

The hotel has a great location inside the National Forest, with major trails right outside the front door. That is a big plus compared to other options requiring a shuttle bus ride in and out of the park. But we found the hotel significantly over-priced even with this ‘big plus’ of location. Our room was in the older part of the hotel - a traditional Japanese style room. The room was quite small and cramped with few surfaces for our belongings. The bathroom was also very small. An update is needed. The meal plan was very nice - all meals in the main dining room with a buffet. The food was very good and plentiful. Overall we enjoyed our stay but felt the price tag was too much.

It came with buffet breakfast and dinner, with great varieties, good quality and diligent services from local food, asian dish to western dish, served in a banquet like setting. Hotel offers shuttle bus which is a great service to save our energy for the forest trail surrounding the hotel. As a suggestion, we wish the hotel gives reminder of how to get to the pickup spot right before our arrival. The hotel facilities are plenty from a 50s cafe to garden to observation deck and free self service laundry. Rooms are clean and spacious, service is polite and diligent.. We enjoyed the stay and recommend.

The two of us got a huge room with two king size beds! The buffet dinner and breakfast were both amazing, large selections of both asian and western cuisine. The hotel has an observation area for sunset and star gazing. In the morning, there is a shuttle to bring you to the sunrise train. I definitely recommend this hotel for anything visiting Alishan.
