The room itself was fine, bed was a little uncomfortable and two thin pillows didn’t make the best nights sleep but the room was clean and comfortable. However, the site is still being redeveloped with lots of construction ongoing. Fake grass strewn everywhere and litter and cigarette ends everywhere. Given this is owned by an incredibly wealthy university, it’s a bit of a liberty. NB, no breakfast is available on or near site. You can buy things for breakfast at the onsite shop, but you won’t have anywhere to cook it.

These are lovely, well designed units. Great for singles! Cozy for couples. Laundry on site operated via an app. Only getting one key is a downside. Located on edge of town with a great view towards the downtown.

Our stay there was fine for the price. Requested a double bed but the room had a bed that seemed to be for a single person. No elevator service. Parking was fine.

Very good alternative to local hotels. Student accommodation but to hotel standard. No restaurant on site, but vending options available. 20 minute walk into town. Can’t fault it and would definitely recommend.

A very new property with new fixtures and fittings. Access to the laundry was a bonus. On the flip side bed was a king single which was a bit small for two.downtown was a bit far to walk and parking was at a premium when we were there

Was a nice stay and in a very good location. Very clean and the staff were so very much helpful. Free parking with lots of spaces Two issues with the room, the bed was a SMALL double, felt very cramped next to wardrobe and desk. Secondly the shower was excellent but draining was slow. Was allowed to iron my shirt in the laundry room which is communal, and great snacks and drinks provided in vending machine. Overall would 100% return, maybe to a room with a bigger bed

Excellent amenities as it’s a new build for student accommodation. Excellent laundry facility and helpful staff. You can hear a lot from the hallway, but there wasn’t an issue for sleeping.

Place was great, my only issue was that there was a really weird smell that came from the room, honestly wasn't great. I gave 5 star for cleanliness because it was very clean, but the smell wasn't fantastic

Tiny frying pan and pot for one person, we didn’t want to cook but if you do the facilities and utensils are not provided. No microwave in room either. On a positive note, the room was very clean and bathroom good. Layout was also well thought out for space. Location in the middle of a run down council estate and a good walk into town. However, a taxi only cost us £5.80 so considering the studio was so cheap for St Andrews, I didnt mind getting taxis. Depends what you are looking for, if its a bolt hole its perfect, if its luxury then look elsewhere. Shout out to reception staff though they were jolly and helpful.

Modern, comfortable double room perfect for our stay in St Andrews to attend a wedding nearby. Much nicer than other well known budget hotel rooms we’ve stayed in. Room was spotless and bed comfy. Staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. The location worked for us but it is on the edge of St Andrews and would be a good walk or taxi ride into the centre. If this doesn’t put you off then I’d definitely recommend staying here. As other reviews have said there are other flats being built on site. We stayed on a Saturday night and it was very quiet but I’d expect some noise during the week.

The room was okay except we couldn’t get the AC to work properly. The one big problem was we were literally on a construction site, and there was very loud building work going on from 7am in the morning, when we were still trying to sleep after a very hot night with no AC.

It was essentially impossible to get housekeeping. The flat out refused to clean our room every 3-4 days (we stayed for 3 weeks), saying they prioritized “new arrivals”. There’s no way to clean the room yourself, so you end up living in a dirty room. The entire facility is not services properly and the rooms have thin walls, so you hear your neighbours and the surprising amount of banging fire doors. If you stay there for a night or two, it’s not a bad option. If you stay longer, be prepared to be treated with ignorance.

Great set up for travelling with friends, as each bedroom was connected to a main living space, but private entries to the sleeping areas from the halls. full kitchens, comfortable beds. Great residential type neighborhood that was still close to everything St Andrews has to offer.

The rooms are clean, brand new, functional and relatively very cheap. Great value. But there are stairs required, so not wheelchair or elderly friendly, and it's a 30 minute walk to the center of St. Andrews. It's definitely not downtown. Convenience store a five minute walk for food items. Front desk often not manned, but sometimes with three people, so the schedules should be better coordinated. Overall, a great deal for solo golfers or other travelers who don't want to pay 3 or 4 times as much for an accommodation downtown.

Had phoned the hotel prior to my visit to check whether my kids could come - I was advised yes they could however, they don’t provide any cots. This was confirmed on the Expedia page for this hotel. We then brought our own and was made feel unwelcome when we arrived and that “kids aren’t allowed here - unless they are over 12, as this is student halls and the crying from babies may bother the residents, also keep them away from the social areas because there will be lots of drinking.” They did let us keep the kids there but “only because it was one night”. We then went down later on and asked the reception to phone us a taxi and one of the women rolled her eyes whilst the other responded by “how many am I supposed to say it’s for?” And in all honesty - again just made us feel unwelcome and that we were a burden. Just seemed really unprofessional and left us standing there for quite a while before I eventually asked if there was a number she could give me to try myself as she just kept saying “they’re not answering, do you want me to just keep trying”. Wouldn’t recommend, and won’t be returning.
Had phoned the hotel prior to my visit to check whether my kids could come - I was advised yes they could however, they don’t provide any cots. This was confirmed on the Expedia page for this hotel. We then brought our own and was made feel unwelcome when we arrived and that “kids aren’t allowed here - unless they are over 12, as this is student halls and the crying from babies may bother the residents, also keep them away from the social areas because there will be lots of drinking.” They did let us keep the kids there but “only because it was one night”. We then went down later on and asked the reception to phone us a taxi and one of the women rolled her eyes whilst the other responded by “how many am I supposed to say it’s for?” And in all honesty - again just made us feel unwelcome and that we were a burden. Just seemed really unprofessional and left us standing there for quite a while before I eventually asked if there was a number she could give me to try myself as she just kept saying “they’re not answering, do you want me to just keep trying”. Wouldn’t recommend, and won’t be returning.

Was a nice stay and in a very good location. Very clean and the staff were so very much helpful. Free parking with lots of spaces Two issues with the room, the bed was a SMALL double, felt very cramped next to wardrobe and desk. Secondly the shower was excellent but draining was slow. Was allowed to iron my shirt in the laundry room which is communal, and great snacks and drinks provided in vending machine. Overall would 100% return, maybe to a room with a bigger bed

Modern, comfortable double room perfect for our stay in St Andrews to attend a wedding nearby. Much nicer than other well known budget hotel rooms we’ve stayed in. Room was spotless and bed comfy. Staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. The location worked for us but it is on the edge of St Andrews and would be a good walk or taxi ride into the centre. If this doesn’t put you off then I’d definitely recommend staying here. As other reviews have said there are other flats being built on site. We stayed on a Saturday night and it was very quiet but I’d expect some noise during the week.

The rooms are clean, brand new, functional and relatively very cheap. Great value. But there are stairs required, so not wheelchair or elderly friendly, and it's a 30 minute walk to the center of St. Andrews. It's definitely not downtown. Convenience store a five minute walk for food items. Front desk often not manned, but sometimes with three people, so the schedules should be better coordinated. Overall, a great deal for solo golfers or other travelers who don't want to pay 3 or 4 times as much for an accommodation downtown.

The place was hard to find with no signs on the road. We drove past a building site only to find that was the hotel. The room was adequate though rather cramped and a good 20 minutes walk from the city centre.

A very new property with new fixtures and fittings. Access to the laundry was a bonus. On the flip side bed was a king single which was a bit small for two.downtown was a bit far to walk and parking was at a premium when we were there

The room itself was fine, bed was a little uncomfortable and two thin pillows didn’t make the best nights sleep but the room was clean and comfortable. However, the site is still being redeveloped with lots of construction ongoing. Fake grass strewn everywhere and litter and cigarette ends everywhere. Given this is owned by an incredibly wealthy university, it’s a bit of a liberty. NB, no breakfast is available on or near site. You can buy things for breakfast at the onsite shop, but you won’t have anywhere to cook it.

Excellent spacious apartment everything was brand new, I stayed in July ‘25 …comfy bed & sofa large TV fridge hob & m/wave… modern shower room easy free parking. Quiet area surrounded by bungalows. Staff were very helpful & friendly 👍

Room was okay for a couple of nights but bed was very compact and hard for me. Tiny frying pan and pot for one person, we didn’t want to cook but if you do the facilities and utensils are not provided. No microwave in room either. On a positive note, the room was very clean and bathroom good. Layout was also well thought out for space. Location in the middle of a run down council estate and a good walk into town. However, a taxi only cost us £5.80 so considering the studio was so cheap for St Andrews, I didnt mind getting taxis. Depends what you are looking for, if its a bolt hole its perfect, if its luxury then look elsewhere. Shout out to reception staff though they were jolly and helpful.

This is university student housing that is repurposed into an aparthotel during the summer break. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. I stayed in the separate Bonnybank building on Floor 2 in the back. The room was clean, very nicely sized with a small couch and desk area in addition to the bed and kitchenette, and separate bathroom. The soundproofing from the hallway could be improved but unless you open a window, outside noise wasn’t disturbingly loud. In the main building, there is a laundry room with several machines (download app to use, soap required though other guests left extras). There are also microwaves in the communal room outside the laundry room. I didn’t cook in the room but I did use the plates, cups, cutlery, and refrigerator. There was also a restaurant, Social open on site. There are both an Aldi and M&S grocery store 5-minute drive/15-minute walk away. If you don’t have a car, factor costs for taxis, or an uphill 20-minute walk to city centre.

First room was clean but was the incorrect room type. After complaining we were eventually given an alternative room at 11:30 pm. This room was not clean and sub standard with staining and even had toothpaste marks in bathrooms still. Next day we Asked for room to be cleaned and fresh bedding provided for the next evening stay but on returning to accommodation at 11 pm this wasn’t done and there was no record of us being registered in hotel at all so our keycards were wiped! Took some time for this to be explained and sorted out! It feels as though company isn’t practised in basic hospitality standards and when asked about this I was told well we employ students and usually look after students in term time- as though this was a valid explanation for poor basic hospitality standards.
