Nice hotel, great location. Various parking in the area way cheaper than the $45 a night for valet.

Food options were endless and loved being directly across from the beach. The hotel even had chairs and towels to use which is great

Right on ocean drive, staff very friendly. rooms were clean and boutique like. you can ask for chairs and towels for the beach, at no cost. The beach is nice. public parking right around the corner for $20/day. Went with my wife and 2 kids. Would stay again.

There is a $150/night deposit to stay here. We didnt know that until we arrived. We are aware that most hotels charge a deposit, but we have stayed at some of the nicest on Ocean Dr and was never charged that much. Cons: *Outrageous deposit not listed when booking through expedia * The $40/ night resort fee states it includes beach loungers and even shows photos of beach loungers on the beach in their listing, but in fact they have foldable chairs that you have to carry to the beach with you and return. And they have a limited supply. * Our room was on the 3rd floor, the shower water pressure was low and the hot water was a hit and miss most nights and mornings. * on Day 3 the one elevator was out and like I said, we were on the 3rd floor. Pros: * The resort fee does included use of their bicycles. This was not listed. This was fun and easy transport. However they only have 5 bikes. You can rent bicycles for $8/hr not even a block down the road. * The $15 lunch special was packaged perfect for the beach. The Cuban Chicken and Cheese Burger on the beach was a vibe. The resturant also had live cuban music each night * The Patio area was beatuiful and great place to * walking distance to everything and I felt safe at the location.

I didn't realize "Parking Available" came with a $50/night charge. Furniture a little tired. Great location in the heart of South Beach

The property is clean and workers friendly. I gave the property a low rating because the dining area and kitchen were closed and it was listed as highlights of the hotel. I had surgery and had to climb the stairs because the handicapped section opened into the dining room and that door was closed. The one elevator they had broke so I was forced to climb wet steps in the rain for my entire stay.

Room was exceptionally clean. Loved the architecture! Right in the heart of art deco area of South Beach. I only wish there was a pool.

Good location. I really enjoyed the access to Crunch fitness gym which is included with the daily hotel fees. Beach chairs and towels came in handy too.

Great service, clean, good free breakfast, bathroom layout small and weird but clean and nice. Wish they had a pool!

Property was nice but I did not like the pillows mattress was ok but not great. strangely we found random hair here and there ... The counter space in the bathroom was very limited. The staff was very helpful, friendly and forthcoming. I would recommend it to any one that like to stay close to ocean drive. I would stay there again.

there are cockroaches in the rooms and ants everywhere, from 1am until 6am the fire alarm sounded, I sat outside with the kids all night. I have only one question, what did I pay you for? For me to sleep outside next to the hotel, I have all the videos and photos

Beautiful , clean with great and responsive staff!

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Check in with my 2 dogs was smooth. The room was nice and clean. Inside the hotel, but not in the rooms was a smell though. At first I thought it smelled like old smokey las vegas hotel rooms, but then I thought it was maybe mold/mildew? Anyway, other than fear of inhaling fungal spores, our stay was great. We love the location. Parking was pretty convenient as it is a lot next door to the hotel.

This hotel was absolutely immaculate, from the front desk to the cleanliness of the room to the lovely fragrance throughout the lobby and all the floors. No attention to detail was missed. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again!

The stay was ok. This hotel is not the cleanest, I found hairs in the bed sheets, and a big in one of the towels. Not ideal. There was also a reasonable amount of dust in the corners of the room and so if you have allergies, this place may not be the best option. That being said, the staff were great; very friendly and helpful people. The location is also fantastic. It’s just a shame the hotel rooms themselves were much lower in quality than I expected, based on the online images and therefore not worth the price. The breakfast is also very disappointing.

I did not get the vip free bottle of wine. And I told the staff about it they didn’t care to make it right The room was dirty and the bathroom plugged

There was a cockroach in the dining area. The lobby smelled of mold and our room smelld the same.

The hotel itself was amazing. The location & the restaurants & beach its self was amazing. What I didn’t like was the bed sheets has stains on them & the mattress had blood on it from a previous guest. It was uncomfortable to stay in the bed especially with stains on the sheets & housekeeping coming by here & there to clean. I unfortunately will not be staying at the Cardozo again.

The hotel is in a walkable area, lots of hotels, restaurants and bars nearby, it's also directly across the street from the beach. However room was very noisy, from the AC unit to the people in the rooms next door and the hallway. Also the bathroom was incredibly small and awkward to maneuver.

The hotel is an excellent location, across from the beach. There are many restaurants and bars in the area, parking garage close by as well. Hotel doesn't really have a lobby area. Our shower door was broken - couldn't open it. We asked many times but it was not repaired. It was hard to squeeze through the small opening to take a shower.

4 stars only cause the TV and AC weren’t working for a while

It was impossible to sleep in my room because the sound levels were so bad: 75 decibels. It’s a shame because it’s otherwise a very nice hotel. The staff were very friendly and the location is good.

This hotel was wonderful! It was exactly what we were looking for. Right across from the beach, easy to walk or bike around, clean and well kept. Such fun aesthetic! The only thing I was not the best was that the walls are thin so it isn’t the quietest place but also it was manageable.

The aesthetics of the building was beautiful. The restaurant was very good. The room was very nice and clean. The only downside was you could hear through the walls to the other rooms.

This was a great reasonable stay for the money. The room was a bit small but we made it work.

Our stay was great. We had a problem with the shower not turning on the first morning but a call to the front desk and the maintenance guy got it up and running within 10 minutes. The room was a suite and was very nice and comfortable. We had a nice ocean view and the family really enjoyed it.

Great location. Friendly staff. Suites are big and spacious. Only negatives; there isn’t a coffee machine in the room and windows need cleaning

The room was very small for the $300 a night. It did not have tissue, desk, body lotion, and only two 6 inch closets. Way over rated for the price!!!

Staff had no idea of the VIP perk. She told us about her leaving a note for manager and nothing was done about it. Disappointed.

Location was great but room was just okay (we got a large suite but there were exactly 2 pillows on a king bed and the blinds did not block out the light enough). Staff was also hit or miss, the ones that spoke English well were very helpful. We had one major issue with this hotel - we forgot a jacket in the closet, called front desk less than 1 hour after leaving and told them we will come back for it when our cruise returns to Miami. Well we called and they said they will call us back when they find it, we never got a call back. Very disappointing that this happened.

The staff lacked hospitality and friendly customer service. Wasn’t very welcoming.

I’ve left a week to carry out this review to really think about how I felt about the hotel as I had such high expectations before I arrived. At check in, I found the receptionist to be pretty unwelcoming and this was the case with some members of staff at the hotel. The rooms are basic, the furniture and beds need replacing and the hotel generally needs some investment. Breakfast is available, 4 items to choose from and extras available at cost. I personally think, the choices were limited and also breakfast started at 9am which seems late and we couldn’t always manage it as had plans. The room wasn’t kept that clean and the floor was sandy, shower products empty and bottled water wasn’t placed as expected. The bedding was also in need of a good boil as some stains. I had two rooms and my daughter found a bed bug in her bed (a few spotted). The hotel did move her and waived her amenities fee, but again, I had high hopes for this hotel but it just didn’t deliver in any area at all. From the outside the hotel looks great, but really needs some work internally and staff need to at least pretend they care about the visitors.

This was our worst check in existence ever! The receptionist was an awful person with the worst attitude. I’ve made the reservation thru Expedia and when we arrived she told us that the room is not available and their system is down. She cannot check us in for a couple of hours and I have to wait. After I complained this was her response: “ cancel your reservation and go find another hotel.” I asked her to cancel it and then she charged me for one night plus tax plus resort fee and $30 for pet. I still haven’t checked in!!! I asked her to contact the manager and she refused to do so. This is her response: I’m not going to call the manager of the hotel for YOU! I contacted Expedia and spoke with the customer service and they tried to speak with her and she refused to provide any response and advised the agent to speak with the manager. The case was opened and still no response from Expedia or hotel’s manager. Expedia cannot take any action without manager’s approval. Only sympathy for the customer!!!

Absolutely beautiful, our room was taking longer than expected to be ready so they upgraded us to a suite, no charge. Amazing customer service.

The staff were courteous and friendly. The location was outstanding and it was clean.

Across the beautiful beach. It’s a happening area with music, dance, food and party ambience. If you are boring and want to sleep then it’s not for you.

Wonderful hotel. We stayed as a family of 4 and the hotel staff bent over backwards to make our stay wonderful. If you want a location right on south beach you cannot beat this. View of beach from hotel room and all the fun and restaurants right at your door

Very clean and up to date but still the original look and character of the Miami hotel the original old school look on the outside fresh clean rooms and with the benefits of a beach chair and towel along with a very short walk across the street to the beach plenty on food options all in walking distance really a gem of a find and definitely my new favorite place in Miami to stay you won’t regret a vacation stay here

Great location!

We had a great time staying at the Cardozo Hotel in South Beach. Great location with vibrant nightlife right outside the doors, multiple dining and bar options. During the day it is just across the street from the beach and convenient and safe to walk around. The hotel itself was nice, although the room smelled of cleaning fluids when we first got in and the shower was very loud to open and close. Otherwise, loved the vibe of the hotel and the surrounding area!

The hotel is in a great location. Walking distance to great restaurants, shopping and the beach. Rooms are large and very clean. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Food at their restaurant is very good. I would definitely stay there again.

We had such a wonderful time! The location is in the heart of South Beach, the service was lovely, the atmosphere is of vintage Miami and modern clean! Would stay again and again! And the bakery downstairs is a sweet bonus! Thank you thank you!

The staff are friendly enough and the hotel is well located, on ocean drive, so in the centre of all the hustle and bustle of the historic centre of Miami Beach. My complaint with the hotel relate to the mediocre breakfast served, and minimal in room housekeeping offered. Breakfast was included in the price of the room, and is served in the restaurant which overlooks ocean drive, and I presume it has been outsourced to an independent operator. The staff are nice and friendly, but the menu offered is so basic it beggars belief. I took the scrambled eggs and bacon, which comes with either a cup of drip coffee OR a glass of apple juice. I doubt there was more that ONE scrambled egg, along with 3 pieces of crispy streaky bacon and a small spoon of fried potatoes. Anything else has to be paid for as an extra. Housekeeping was as minimalistic as the breakfast, the bed was made, and a bath mat was changed - but that was it! I spilt coffee on the top sheet on the first morning, and while it was super obvious, the sheet was unchanged for the whole visit, the trash bin was not emptied, the towels were not changed and nothing was cleaned in the bathroom (glass shelves / shower doors etc). There was sand on the bedroom floor, which I felt every-time I got out of bed. It’s a shame they are not focused on the details because serving a better breakfast might cost them a few dollars, and the housekeeping could be improved so easily!

The hotel was satisfactory and had classical "art-deco" characteristics. Unfortunately breakfast is not available till 9am which is far too late, and the prices for a glass of wine too expensive.

Great location. Luckily the street was blocked to vehicular traffic from 13th to 15th streets, so the street was quiet with only pedestrians. Only complaint is that the TV in the room didn’t work and I mentioned it every day to the front desk and it was never fixed. Not that big a deal as I could watch on my phone. The food in the restaurant downstairs was very good. The Coconut Shrimp Ceviche is a must!

Hotel is beautiful & gives the complete Miami vibe! Staff were so nice & the food was delicious! Bed was very comfy as well. Only negative thing I would say is the AC smells a little mildew probably from them running 24/7 but filter should be changed more often. Overall 5stars!! Plan to come back

The hotel rooms were very nice but the pre paid breakfast was awful, you had to pay for toast !!!!!!!!!!! with lack of choice for the price I would not recommend people book the breakfast. Stay away!!!!!!
