Chesterfield Hotel & Suites

Nice boutique hotel one block away from the beach. Unfortunately, no parking is available at the property and it will cost you an additional $20 per day at a garage 2 blocks away.

The building, room, lobby, and bar area were very clean and stylistic. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The only issue I had was the lack of parking— you had to go to a public parking structure 2 blocks away, pay $40 a night for parking, and lug bags because it doesn’t have a loading zone in front of the hotel in order to drop off luggage.

Great property close to the beach. They offer chairs for beach and towels. Only thing that was kind of annoying was the door keys broke very easy if placed near phone or wallet

Our stay was great, we had a real good time at chesterfield. It is close to everything around ocean drive, one block from The beach you can come back to your room to go to the bathroom. Check in was super easy, they have free drinks everyday from 5-6pm. Rooms were nice and cool, good space. Not very good lighting if you are like me and like to get your make up done. They offer beach towels if you are going to the beach. It is definitely on the party side, so if you are looking for peace and quiet not your place. I don’t mind it noise doesn’t stop me from sleeping they were playing loud music until super late on Saturday, which it’s nice you don’t even have to leave the hotel to party and because it’s right in the middle of south beach the street noise is also loud with people partying, but again this was not a dealbreaker to us, all I need is black out curtains and they had that I can sleep Trough noise but not with light. I’d definitely recommend this hotel if you want to be able to walk everywhere and not have to pay for Uber all day, millions of food options, liquor stores, cvs everything within 2 minute walk. And it’s pretty clean and organized hotel I would definitely book again

It’s old and outdated the hallway smells horrible. My door barely locked. I had to make sure it was closed all the way. And they have an old elevator, the kind that you have to open the door too. Check- in was easy and the staff were friendly. The hotel is one of the art deco buildings so it's old. Many areas have been renovated but you can still tell its old. Located one block from ocean dr, you can walk to the beach. With that being said, it's in the heart of south beach so it's loud. The bar downtowns is open to the public and plays music like club hours. I'm not sure if it's everyday or just weekend. Water was hot (rain shower head), no toilet papper holder, and no hand towels. Wall heating/ cooling worked fine and beds were comfortable. If you are looking for a budget friendly hotel in the heart of South Beach and are not too concerned with noise or aesthetics, I definitely recommend.

We stayed at the Lily. It’s no elevator packed light because it’s a lot of stairs. Staff barely understand English.

This hotel is not a bad place for the price. It's not a 5 star ⭐, but a very good hotel with a great location. The only downside there is No parking. You will have park on the street or find a parking garage nearby. The staff are very friendly. It's one block from the beach and there are a lot of restaurants near by. If you like bar hopping this is a great place to stay. If you want to pre-game the start of your night or just stay in this hotel is good to start. It has a hookah on site with indoor and outdoor seating. Overall I enjoy my stay with my family. When I come back I will be staying here.

The elevator was a scary experience aa well as the curved stairs once you get tired of waiting for the elevator. It definitely needs a facelift.

this was as second stay here and we will be back. We were able to check in at 2;30 and our room was located next to the main building, and it has been updated. It was a little bit loud at night until about 1;00 am, but I'm guessing this is how it goes in South Beach. The only complaint was that the beach towels were never available but at least we got beach chairs and that was fine.

Arrived to the suite but it was nice but not very clean. The sheets had dust and long black hair on /in between the sheets. Floors did not feel clean to my feet and overall didnt feel clean. Ask for room to be clean and waited a few hours and had to request cleaning/towels upon return. Very dissatisfied and will not recommend or return to this hotel.

Staff was nice as always. Everything is walking distance. The rooms are so clean & comfy. My time staying here. 10/10❤️❤️

The room was extremely dirty and poor conditioned . The music was extremely loud from the lobby . in the morning you for sure get a wake up call without asking for it because the cleaning staff is extremely loud in conversation and knocking the vacuum into doors and slamming doors as well ! But I will give the staff at the front desk a 10/10 for being courteous and checking in and answering questions over the phone that I do appreciate.

Bathroom, dirty hallway, smell, like a lot of smoke. Bedroom door did not have latched to latch so no one coming in our room Jacuzzi tub was real dirty, scratched and horrible bed falling apart door to get in and out the hotel barely work no parking, dirty, stank, horrible hotel.

Roaches roaches roaches. Do not stay at this property. You will not be refunded. They will offer a new room but the whole building is infested. It’s not worth the cheap rate.

The property was clean and the room was spacious

It was terrible! They are infested with bugs, so much so, when I went to the front desk to let them know I had a complaint, before I even said anything he said "is it bugs in your room too?"... Then he proceeded to say we have a bug problem in this hotel others have complained about it as well. Then I asked if I could get a discount because I slept very uncomfortably "knowing" the room was infested with bugs and they told me no. Do not book with this hotel it is absolutely terrible and they are not letting customers know they have a bug problem. Go and get ate up by bed bug and lay on a dirty bed with sheets that have not been cleaned.

TERRIBLE! Still didn’t get my down payment back, the place was trash, floors felt like collapsing, and disgusting rooms.

My room smelled old, the shower had a smell, shower curtain had mildew at the bottom. The floor wasn’t clean nor the nightstand. My towels smelled out. I asked for towels and no one deliver them to room when I was told they were coming. I had to get them the next morning even then they didn’t have any drying towels. This was a bad experience for me.

I went with a group of girls for a girls trip, if you get the rooms that are featured in the pictures everything is great. The room we got was in the main building on the 3rd floor. Hallway is dingy and sketchy, getting into the room it was very outdated and made me feel like I would have been apart of the Taken 2 movie. The bedsheets did not appear to be washed, there was a hair on my pillow that did not belong to me, and there was no fitted sheet on my bed. Comforter had a small crusty stain on it too. Had I been staying longer than 1 night I would have checked out and went to a different hotel. Staff were very polite, I should have went and complained about the condition of my room but I bucked up and held out because it was only 1 night. One thing they did not disclose is that that they charge for early check-in depending on how many hours you are early. Over all great price but it’s a gamble which room you get to determine if it was worth it or not.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you are a solo traveller as it felt quite unsafe in my opinion. I’m not very picky or critical in general but advertisement pictures make the hotel look more elevated than it really is. The room was decently clean, but had no wifi connection, very loud from outside noise, and started to smell strongly of smoke later in the night. The one good thing is the location.

Staff was great! But the room was “ interesting “. Fridge didn’t work bed was really really soft, like so soft it was hard to get out of. It took about 10 minutes of running the shower to finally get hot water and it was really noisy at all times of the day and night! Especially people going up the wooden steps to upstairs rooms. Light switches were pushed into the wall and you had to blow dry your hair next to the front door because there are no outlets in the bathroom and only a couple in the room. No happy medium with the A/C, it was either hot as hell or freezing cold blowing like a hurricane. Best part about staying here was the location and the tacos across the street! We stayed in Room 405 and we will not be back.

It was quite noisy from street noise. However, room is quite large, beds are comfortable. Front desk are helpful

You have to leave the water run on hot for 5 minutes or more before warm up. Floor is sandy. WiFi doesn’t work.

Reported to the person at the front desk about the TV & Wifi not working. The room was dusty when I got there. The housekeeper didn’t changed the sheets when they cleaned the room. It would’ve been nice to have a microwave in the room to warm up food. Overall, everything else was fine.

WiFi provided on the welcome letter was not working. Luckily I have my own phone data, so I can use the Internet. Refreshment in the fridge was okay, other than having alcohol and energy drinks, would appreciate if there’s bottled water. My room was on the first floor, the lobby bar has some nice music, but goes late into the night. If you sleep early and are assigned on the first floor, be ready to get noise until a bit late into the night. Besides being very close to the beach, having convenient access to nearby stores, bank, restaurants and bars, it’s an okay price point for the room

The bathroom toilet was clogged; had a hard time flushing. I didn’t get a signal for my cell phone in the room they gave me. What’s worse is they put me in a room on the ground floor closest to the DJ and loud speakers. I had to request a room change on the third day of my stay.

The shower had no hot water; they fixed it, only for it to break again the second day. The WiFi barely worked. The sink had cracks, and the paint job would have to work it's way up to amateurish. The elevator barely fits a single person and their suitcase, eating that you may have a wait and don't even think about disability access. The fact that they get away with charging as much as they do for a lower quality room than a roadside motel is obscene. The staff, however, was very friendly.

Unbeknownst to us, our room was over the hotel bar. It was like being next to a bass amplifier all night long. At 1:30 this AM I had to go down to lobby because they wudnt answer the phone & complained. She said she’d ask them to lower the volume. That didn’t help. Also, the bathroom has no door, the shower & toilet in one room. This whole experience was a nightmare.

If you stay at this property you have to put a 100.00 dollar deposit for every night you stay which was never told ti me until I arrived there to check in… Then I was told at check in that the deposit was to be released 3 to 5 business days after I checked out but when I checked I was told it will take 2 ti 4 weeks for my deposit to be released…. Terrible

It's wasn't my frist time there and my experience there are all amazing ill be back very soon thank u too all the workers but especially to ANA she was amazing 👏

Noisy property. Upper floors have wooden floors and. Lower rooms can hear steps from people walking in upper rooms or using the stairs. No elevators. Room cleaining is only done every 3 days. Inner patios have lounging areas where people congregates at night sometimes being very noisy.

We arrived at 2:50 PM for check-in and were told to wait because the staff was in the middle of a shift change. This wait ended up being 20 minutes, which was frustrating, especially since check-in time was at 3 PM. Scheduling a shift change so close to check-in seems poorly planned and inconsiderate of guests’ time. On top of that, the front desk staff were rude, which made the situation even more unpleasant. The room itself was okay, but the towels were dirty—so much so that we couldn’t stand staying in the room. This experience was very disappointing. Unless they make serious changes to their operations, staff professionalism, and cleanliness, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

The cards of the hotel did not work.We had to go ask for new ones.The whole time I was there.

This property was nice but I think they need to work on there key card with doors I had to go to the front atleast 10x times cause the cards wouldn’t work!

I’ve booked from may 2 to may 4, I checked out this morning. When I’ve asked the receptionist when he gonna release my 200$ security deposit he said that he has been released and the money will arrive right away. I asked for a receipt but he said that the system didn’t work and he would send me an email to my address. I’m still waiting for my 200$ back and the email.

This was the worst hotel experience I encountered. The female supervisor who’s is schedule on the day shift. She was rude, unprofessional and egotistical. She refused to provide her name and information to suggest a chain of command for follow up concerns.

I Love That the Hotel Was Close to Everything Necessary. Literally One Block From Beach and Restaurants. Bank Of America & Chase Bank, 7 Eleven, Etc. You Name It. The Decor Of the Lobby Is Really Fabulous. Great For Photo Ops and Aesthetics. Loved That the Hotel Offered A Free Drink At the Bar Per Night of Stay. (Ends @ 8PM I Believe) I Stayed In "The Lily". The Room Was Cute. Very Spacious. Came w. A Fully Stocked Bar, As Well As Room Service. My Favorite Part About the Room Was The Customization of the TV You Could Do. I Was Able to Watch My Youtube Videos and Log Into My Netflix. I Also Liked the Amount Of Closet Space. The Bathroom Was My Least Favorite. When We First Arrived I Washed My Hands And The Water Would Not Go Down the Drain. But I Managed to Fix It. I Dont Like That the Shower Door Is Directly By the Toilet Being That It Pretty Much Bangs Against the GLASS Door When Entering and Leaving The Shower If Not Careful. There Was a Rag Behind the Shower Head Im Assuming Being Used to Keep It Sturdy Because When It Got Wet and Fell, the Shower Head Had No Support. Overall I Would Definitely Stay Here Again, as This Is My Second Time. (Last Time I Stayed Inside the Gate and That Room Was EVERYTHING.!) I Would Give This Room a 8. The Cons Were Pretty Manageable and a Helpful Staff w. Great Customer Service Always Wins w. Me. (Shout Out to the Curly Hair Guy Who Works At the Front That Helped Me w. My Key) I Forgot Your Name But Thank You So Much!

My checking was amazing and I stayed for one night. I was in room 400 and had no complaints about it. I just advise anyone coming into a room to be mindful of what is in the minibar. What was said on the paper was different compared to what was in the fridge. I advise taking a picture or a video as proof. They will charge you for what is missing assuming you took it. Other than that everything you need is on the strip.

Hotel was decent. Our first 2 days we stayed in the Chesterfield building room was small but cozy... When we came back from cruise we stayed at same hotel but different building this room was much bigger area was very quiet however I wouldn't of wanted to stay in that building alone as a single female... The bar was dirty though I was going to order food until I saw the bar. I asked for diet coke the lady pulled an open can out the fridge I asked how long had it been open her response was I don't know 3 days... I declined and found another bar to drink at

I really liked the lobby area & cool mirror showers. Inexpensive, everything we needed, super kind staff & the best location, walkable to everything. One thing I didn’t like was they take a large hold deposit, wasn’t expecting that, & the free welcome drink at the bar is per room not per guest. Overall would recommend though!

Open bar for an hour was one drink for one person that had two people in a room. That should be better explained prior to booking instead of being informed during the stay.

We attended the SOBE food and wine festival so this location was great we were within walking distance. Property has nice entrance, bar area and good music playing it was a bit loud but once in the room it wasn’t to bad we were able to sleep no problem and room was on the first floor. Room was old and outdated but it was clean. Mini fridge fully stock and many option, prices were decent just check expiration dates, some snack were old. Check in was easy and fast front staff very professional.
