Henrosa Hotel

Henrosa is a cute and simple hotel . Very conveniently located to the beach and has access to beach umbrellas and chairs via a third party. Besides coffee and water it would be a nice to have access to hot water for tea too. Though if you ask the staff will get for you.

Clean and quite. Close to beach Parking is two blocks away $20/night. Complementary breakfast is very limited in another hotel two blocks away.

Good location and nice updated hotel. A basic breakfast was included but was at a sister hotel 1.5 blocks away - was a nice walk there but should just be noted. Its a nice location just at the northern edge of the historic art deco area and has very good access to the beach. We did not receive any room towels, washcloths or floor mats the entire stay. Were only given a couple shabby beach towels to use. Found this very odd. Parked in a public parkade a block south of the hotel. Told the hotel had valet parking but that it was quite a bit more expensive.

Hotel and rooms smell good, location is excellent, right by Ocean Drive, but calm and silent. The only thing I didn’t like it’s that in the site it says there’s parking available, and when we get there we found out that’s actually the next hotel’s and we have to pay extra $40 a day for it. Or use the public parking, that costs $20 per day. They should give this information previously. Also the breakfast is in another hotel, but it doesn’t have any extra charge for it.

Henrosa is a cute 3 story art deco looking hotel with a great location. It's a short 1 block walk to the beach where you get to use 2 lounge chairs, restaurants and stores are all close by, and macs club duece is a block and a half away. :) I loved the front porch area for relaxing and people watching. The complimentary breakfast is at a hotel thats 2 blocks away and it's pretty good. (its on Ocean drive so its a nice spot to sit outside, eat breakfast, and enjoy the view.) The room I stayed in was on the second floor and it was really quiet, clean, and seems to have been remodeled recently. The staff at the hotel were all really friendly and accommodating. The only thing this hotel is missing is a pool but honestly its not a big loss since you're so close to the beach. I will definitely stay here again.

I felt unwelcome upon check-in, then I was told about all the additional fees including a resort fee but yet there is no pool, gym or anything for that matter. Do they think it’s vegas? They didn’t have any clean towels for us to use at the beach and we were not allowed onto the patio area after we came back from dinner because they didn’t have keys. But overall the room was cute except when they say city view, I expected something other than a look at the alley and very close building next door.

The property is in the perfect location. In a quiet street just 1 block from Ocean Blvd and 2 blocks from the Beach. Very private feeling, small hotel, but with all the amenities short of a pool.

Check in was easy but had to pay an unexpected additional resort fee per person per night plus deposit. We had to change our own sheets because we found hair on three different rooms (beds) we tried. It's not worth the price but I guess you're paying for location.

No VIP access benefit. Bathroom was dirty and shower drain didn’t work properly.

Good location and friendly staff, Lois recently remodeled. My room door had plenty of sand in the floor.

Natalia was very attentive to all my requests and warm, welcoming and friendly. The setting is very pleasant. A lobby that is comfy and a nice outdoor patio. My room was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Bed was comfortable and the shower was spacious with excellent water pressure. The hairdryer worked well and I was pleased to have a quiet room looking out onto the adjacent hotel along a pedestrian walkway. I’ve stayed a few times and I will stay there this month too. Location is ideal. Close proximity to ocean and the restaurants and shopping.

Everyone is extremely nice. They allowed me to check in early. The rooms are clean but not sure of the vibe trying to give off. The beds are immaculate but everything else around that looks suspicious. There are stains on the walls and what looks to be mold on some places. There are some sugar ants ( to be expected in Florida). It’s a great hotel but if they can clean up the aesthetic of the room, I would’ve gave 5 starts.

Very nice hotel a block off the beach in an art deco type building.front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.Cozy comfortable lobby lobby with a small outside patio at the front of the hotel. Very clean room , spacious bathroom and considerate staff maintaining the floors, in that they were pretty quiet for those that were sleeping in. This was very much appreciated. No restaurant at the hotel but not necessary considering how many options are very close by.

This hotel was incredibly cute, clean, well decorated, and has the friendliest staff. However, our room didn’t get anything better than lukewarm water. The shower doesn’t have a door that shuts, just a half glass situation, so that made the lukewarm water feel even draftier. Furthermore, the drain was clogged so you’re standing in cooling water for half the shower. I would expect a hot shower at this price point.

Our air condition didn’t work. Was given an attitude about it when I called the front desk until I went down to get the women. She wouldn’t switch our rooms either. Let’s just say the hallway was colder than our room. She provided us with a fan and told me there was nothing she could do until the maintenance man came in the morning. However, no one came and we were sweating our whole stay. The amenity fees are ridiculous which we didn’t even use. You would think they would comp us since we had no AC. There was a huge bug in our shower and make-up on the blanket. Breakfast was two blocks away which I knew about before hand but the portion size was small for only allowing you to choice one of the very few items they had as an option to order from unless you wanted to pay extra. Parking was a few stores away. Getting your car was fast- no issue there. Tulum Mexican Restaurant had the best Birria Tacos ever.

The hotel was in a great location. Parking for $43/day plus the resort fee makes the price really add up fast. Staff were nice. But the walls must be paper thin. You could literally hear the showers turning on and off in nearby rooms. Could clearly hear people’s conversations through the walls. The “soundproof walls” is false advertisement.

Staff were friendly, it was a great location close to Ocean Drive and the beach. Only issue we had was the TV did not work for more then one minute after being turned on. They called a service man, but he saw that it turned on and walked out. I tried to explain that it worked for one minute then the picture would blank. I believe there was another review that complained about the TV not working. Maybe the same room and they didn't replace the TV?? It was also kind of loud at night as there is a alley that goes next to the hotel. We could hear people outside until midnight. Bring ear plugs or a sound machine if you are a light sleeper.

Great location at the foot of Española Way, walkable to the strip & Lincoln Rd. Friendly helpful staff at the reception. Liked the complimentary coffee & daily breakfasts. Didn't like the low pressure rain head shower. Couldn't wash my hair. Had to book hair appointment instead at nearby salon.

Quaint decor. Small room but well done and clean. Was warm in room with no outside ventilation or adjusting the temperature. Parking was difficult and expensive.

Overall:4/5 stay There’s an underground valet parking garage literally right next door, $40 a night, in and out privileges, cash only. Check in was easy and the lobby is beautiful! There was a $40ish per person resort fee that pays for towels, chairs at the beach, breakfast at a hotel 2 blocks up the road & a few other things that we didn’t use. The room itself is bright, minimal counter space in both the room and bathroom. There’s a dresser and two nightstands, a small closet that’s half shelving, half mini fridge & safe. The bed was comfortable and pillows were squishy, but the metal headboard and footboard was not our favorite choice. The bathroom was quite spacious, but the glass for the walk-in shower is not wide enough to actually keep you warm/covered. The shelving for the shower is on the other side, meaning you have to walk out of the water to access the shelves. It is a rainfall shower head, just wanted a bit more coverage from the glass! It’s got a pedestal sink with a ledge over it, and a rolling cart for towels and toilet paper. The television worked… if you connected your own streaming accounts. The wifi was fine on your phone, but the TV/laptop was significantly lagging. Breakfast was at a hotel about two blocks away, easy & flat walk, can be sat indoors or outdoors. Portion sizes were average, with coffee, tea, water as the beverage choices. Tons of food choices around! Would love to stay again, just wish I knew everything beforehand!

There is no AC in the room. The room stays in 81 degrees in month of August in Miami. We notified the front desk and they sent the technician. The technician came, took out the batteries of the thermostat, put them back and close the lid. That’s all he did, not even replacing new batteries, he said, just wait for 5 minutes and it will cool down. It did not obviously, the room stays over 80 degrees for our entire 4-day trip. It’s miserable. They said the hotel is central AC, it’s old and it’s hard to cool down each individual rooms. The towels are three sets for our three people in the room. Since we take multiple showers due to beach and staying in the room without AC, we requested two more bath towels. I am surprised to hear the front desk said there is only one towel per person per day limit. Half of the outlets in the room are not working, we have to take turns to charge our devices. Electrician was sent trying to repair but they still don’t work. The hotel has no pool, no courtyard, basically no amenities but still charges resort fee. The only reason we stayed there is because it’s close to the beach, we booked late and most of other hotels sold out rooms with two beds. Stay away from this hotel, we will never come back to this hotel ever again!

Very pleasant and efficient. Front desk was helpful and attentive. We needed an additional night and he was so nice as into helping us out and allowing us to keep same room. Room was clean and comfortable. A feeling of being right at home ! Loved it

Perfect location on north end of South Beach. Off the beach but steps away. Quiet and safe block. Great architecture and rooms are well appointed. Personal attention by the great staff. My favorite hotel because it feels like an upscale boutique hotel. Hidden gem, go here!

The hotel is very well situated. The rooms are of good size. It is reasonably clean. I believe the staff is put in very difficult situations because of management. I had elderly family member that needed two extra hand towels, and two extra pillows, which the reception could not provide because they didn’t have extras.

Henrosa Hotel is only a block from the beach in South Miami. Cutely decorated. It's even in the USA. Sounds great, right? Can you believe there is a hotel in the USA charging USA prices of $250+ that has no hot water! - no warm showers, no warm water to even wash your hands, no washcloths for even a sponge bath in a hotel one block from a sandy beach?! We've been in African hotels for 1/10th the price that have hot water! Also the hotel check-in desk was totally unresponsive - had to wait 10-15 minutes for anyone to even appear to check us in, or report a problem to! We deserve a refund for a horrible night!

We didn’t have hot water, no one fixed the problem. We had to move to a different hotel and now we are trying to get our money back, yet the manager is not responding Also rooms are awful, not as on the pictures. As well as the way you have to get to the rooms , through ugly stairs in the next door restaurant

No extra pillows or extra hand towels. Staff likely spread too thin. Location is good and hotel is in a good condition.

For the price that I paid for this hotel room, the experience was great. It is one block from the beach and Starbucks. It is a comfortable Hotel, without being too expensive. I chose this hotel for the price and the proximity to the beach.

Simple but nice hotel. Very classic South Beach Art Deco. Location was wonderful. The rooms are spacious, especially the bathroom. Very clean. No carpets anywhere which is great. The one discomfort which is why I rated it 4 on comfort is that our room had a barn door as the bathroom door. Barn doors look cool but they leave a two-inch gap around it which isn\'t great for a bathroom door. There was enough room for a regular door. A pocket door would have accomplished the need for space-saving while providing more privacy. They charge a "resort fee" which seemed ridiculous given that the hotel has no amenities at all. They give you a voucher for beach chairs though they didn\'t mention an umbrella. We didn\'t go to the beach. The overall price was very competitive so I didn\'t care that much about the resort fee but it just felt disingenuous. I would have rather paid in the price. Breakfast was in the form of a voucher at the nearby Cavalier restaurant on Ocean Drive. That was one of the highlights. Great location for breakfast. The choices included were limited but a decent breakfast. The location is wonderful in the morning. Just magical enjoying breakfast on Ocean drive before it gets too busy. The service at the restaurant was good considering how busy they get. Overall we were very happy. Thank you!

The hotel is 1 min walk from the beach. Very good location for shopping and dining. Staff is very good. Want to give a shout out to Michael on the front desk for his friendly behaviour and help. The hotel also provides complimentary breakfast that is served at another restaurant on ocean drive.

Great experience from start to finish! My VIP status was recognized immediately upon check in where I received a complimentary bottle of wine. The hotel also provides complimentary water, coffee and tea in the lobby. No balconies but there is a front porch area out front with tables and chairs overlooking Collins Ave. Room is very clean and modern, not many unnecessary decorations or fixtures which I like. There’s a mini fridge (no microwave) and a safe to keep your belongings. There’s a large flat screen tv hung on the wall, and they use shutter blinds instead of curtains, and wood flooring to help minimize the collection of dust, making the room feel even more clean. The bathroom was spacious and has a walk in shower with a glass wall, no shower curtain! The hotel is a block from the beach, right on Ocean Drive. They provide you with 2 complimentary beach loungers and an umbrella for a $20 surcharge. Breakfast is complimentary, but be advised that it’s at the Cavalier Hotel which is about a block and a half down Ocean Drive. The options are yogurt bowl, bacon and eggs, or pancakes. Nothing to rave about but it’s a decent breakfast to hold you over until lunch. The hotel is close to all the South Beach action, but far enough that you’re not in the crowd. It’s on the upper end of South Beach, closer to Mid Beach which tends to be a little more laid back. I’m already considering staying here during my next visit to Miami!

Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Staff offered to store one's luggage as check out is at 11:00AM. Breakfast is served at a sister hotel a few blocks away on Ocean Drive. There is water, tea and coffee available throughout the day. My concerns about my stay related to the temperature of the room which was too cold and one could not adjust thermostat, which was on the wall, but it did nothing to affect the overall temperature of the room. Added to that, the maximum temperature for the hot water was much too low, although there was very hot water in the sink but did not transfer to the shower. The television in the room was difficult to operate with the remote and we could not figure out how to change the channel on the cable. The YouTube option was a functional substitute.

Decent sized, reasonably attractive room. Good location. 2 min. walk to Starbucks. Walgreens one block away. Basic breakfast served at different hotel one block away. Might very well return. 8/10

Great attention, easy check in and check out, security deposit of 200 - still waiting for that refund. At check-in we were told that everything in the mini fridge was free to consume when we got into the room… There was a Gingerale and a cookie. I thought that was cheap but breakfast is included every day of your stay, which was convenient and the food was really good.
