Staff was not friendly or helpful at all. There was a woman sleeping on the bench outside the hotel at night. All the drink machines and snack machines in the hotel were out of order but they had chips etc. for sale at the front desk for cash only despite taking a $100 deposit per room for incidentals.

It was very relaxing. We went out to get a bite to eat an wen we came back my key card wouldn't work. I came out of the room to get a drink an again my key card wouldn't work. I had to call to get fresh towels. But overall it was pleasant. O, i think they should clean the pool daily...

The hotel room was clean EXCEPT for the SMELL! I revered my hotel based upon fact that they mentioned they had a laundry room . When I checked into the hotel and asked the clerk at the front desk she stated,no however there was infact a separate laundry room for the guest on the 4th floor however the wash machine was out of order the entire days I was there = unacceptable! Also the swipe cards given at the time of check in does not allow entry to door from pool therefore constantly had to walk around to front door. Other than that room was clean minus the ITY smell, the beds were comfortable, and provided a great amount of towels. Mentioned housekeeping every three days however house keeping offered everyday if wanted which I declined. also close to resturants and a walmart next ext.

I was in town visiting family. The stay was great, however our bathroom sink drained slowly. Other than that the room was great. Also unfortunately after a storm the elevator wasn't working so we had to go up and down the stairs for the last two days.

Upon check in we see a sign the elevator is out. It stated it just happened and would be repaired next day. LIES!! We ran into someone who had been there a week and they change the sign daily saying next day it will be fixed. They should have reached out to those with reservations and let them know. Instead they put us on The 3rd floor, we had to use the stairs. (If I didn't have medical issues this wouldn't have been such a big deal!) I have bad spine issues and a few other things. Using the stairs is painful and to have to lug up a bunch of luggage is worse. It was late when we checked in with no where near by available. The front desk didn't give one care about the pain I was to endure by having to go up 3 flights of stairs multiple times with luggage. This is a HUGE ADA Violation!! We will never stay here again. They BLATENTLY lie. Who knows how long the elevator has truly been down, since they change the sign daily saying it will be fixed by next day. Our room smelled horrible, dirt on our bedding and bathroom wasn't very clean. Multiple reasons to never stay here again! Disgusting.

No TV remote in room but we figured out how to turn on and change channel. Let desk know right away if there's an issue since you have a hold fee for any incidentals which could include a missing remote. Everything else pretty much checked out ok. Make sure you don't turn in your keys until you are absolutely certain you are ready to leave. After breakfast we noted first floor restrooms were out of order, so we had to make a last-minute run back up to our room before heading out, then turned in the keys.

This hotel is rundown and needs a good cleaning. The rugs in the elevator were dirty, my bathroom had a bad smell. The wall where my bed was on, had visible beverage stains (someone tried to clean it, but did a lousy job). Breakfast was great the last time I visited. Now, just powered eggs (looked like a muffin) a biscuit and gravy.

Check in was easy. The bathroom was full of hair and the desk chair is stained and gross, as were the walls. The sheets and towels seemed clean enough so didn't bother complaining. The biggest issue I had was that the HVAC in my room was not really working, but I didn't realize this until 3am, when I woke up and the room temp had gone up several degrees. I had to keep bumping the thermostat to get it to kick on. The hotel is also on a sort of loud/busy street so a lot of noise if you're facing the parking lot. I know this isn't a 5 star hotel, but I was expecting it to be a little better based on the ratings.

Rooms need a bit of extra cleaning in corners of walls, shower doors, etc. Could use some repairs to walls and things from minor damages caused by careless people. Elevators and hallways were dirty and need good cleaning and upkeep. Overall relatively decent, but could use some extra work.

Unprofessional front desk, look like a teenager, with a younger possible sister with her. I paid for a king suite and she stated I didn’t. There was no changing her mind. Bathroom come the evening smelled of sewage. No housekeeping service whatsoever except on the third day, and that did not include clean linens. I told her I’ve been in that bed for three days and I wanted to clean sheets. Internet Wi-Fi only for one device. It took me hours before someone came to the room and gave me this phone number to call didn’t tell me who it was. I called and he gave me a list of numbers and dots to put in and I finally got Wi-Fi, the second device but not for the third. I had to do this every day after midnight. This person was not available for that night until early in the morning breakfast look good if you got down within the first hour if not, you could get a bagel and a muffin everything else was empty . Front desk had to come and get the blind where it would work. The chain to raise a blind was ripped from the wall. She pulled hard and the blind went up, and then I was told.” it worked for me. What’s your problem?” I had one bar soap. four days and one shampoo and one condition. For what I paid ( 100 per day) Plus another hundred dollars in addition for security, which I did not get when I checked out I was told I would get it a few days At 8:30 in the morning after breakfast, my card no longer worked on my door and I was locked out. They had to re-issue a card. Terrible stay.

Really great for the most part, the highway noise is just so loud. I've been in other hotels near highways with much better soundproofing. Could I request a room facing the back next time I reserve a room?

The room was really spacious and clean. Although it was next to a questionable motel, the hotel was safe. Having never stayed in Goldsboro, I felt safe. The only thing my partner doesn’t like was the availability of napkins but it wasn’t that serious

Check in was easy. The bathroom was full of hair and the desk chair is stained and gross, as were the walls. The sheets and towels seemed clean enough so didn't bother complaining. The biggest issue I had was that the HVAC in my room was not really working, but I didn't realize this until 3am, when I woke up and the room temp had gone up several degrees. I had to keep bumping the thermostat to get it to kick on. The hotel is also on a sort of loud/busy street so a lot of noise if you're facing the parking lot. I know this isn't a 5 star hotel, but I was expecting it to be a little better based on the ratings.

I reserved a room for 2 adults and 3 kids, the personal was complaining that we make 2 much noise , because the front desk was just under my room. My kids didn't make a lit of noise at all. The isolation wasn't not good att all. When people walked in the hallway we heard them . Bunch of people on my floor was making a lot of noise they didn't received any complaint at all. In one room they were arguing all day they didn't received any complaints. In another they were throwing a party literally and they didn't received any complaints. But i received a warning because my kids was playing. That is unacceptable.

The stay was pretty good but at checkin I was charged a $100 incidental fee. I read the disclaimer at the hotel but it said locals pay that fee. I live out of state and was coming to get married to my wife that weekend. The I was told that I was charged $50 instead of $100. It was very confusing!

Before complaining, I’d like to mention a team member first name Victoria she worked the evening shift 4/19. This is an above average motel, but the young woman who worked the day shift on 4/22 was a nightmare to deal with. She was rude, uncooperative and forgot the most important rule, the customer is always right. Needless to say I will not be staying at this establishment during future visits to the area.

The desk clerk on duty when I checked in seemed vapid and underqualified for the position. I was not greeted but was met with a simple request for my identification. When I asked for a suggestion for a place for dinner she was flustered and offered Applebee's and Olive Garden. When I asked where they were she giggled and said "I'm so bad at explaining things" and quickly disappeared into the back office. However, the lady who worked in the breakfast room was very pleasant.

The front desk reception was so rude. She wouldn’t even take off her headphones to speak to you and let alone look at you. I didn’t know she was done after she handed me the keys and she gave me a rude look and said what do you need… and I was like oh I didn’t know we were all set because you just handed me the keys and didn’t say anything.

Country Inn was nice but customer service sucks. They have these young girls at the front desk that clearly have no customer service at all. My first night, I walked in and went to the front desk to check in. This little girl with dark eyebrows says Id please. I liked her like are you serious. No how you doing or Hello so I said Hello, how are you real boldly. I paid my money to stay here and I deserve a greeting at least because I could have went to another hotel. Then, the next day I had to change rooms because I book my rooms separately because I didn’t know if I was staying in NC that long. The hotel would not let me stay in the same room. Ok, that’s fine. The girl at the front desk booked me in a room that was already occupied by a man. Now to remind you, you can see in the system where the rooms are occupied. So, I go the room and unpack my belongings then she comes knocking on the door saying this is somebody else room. Like WTH! You can’t see that someone else was already in this room. I was already heated then and l she was apologizing but again clearly she does. know her job. I got a room on the 2nd floor then I set my bag and down and left to go to a family event. After the event was over, I went to the room and stood there and said I am not staying here. I checked out and drive back to Maryland at 10 at night and I didn’t get home until 2am. After the shenanigans, I was ready to go home. I wasted my money for that night because I didn’t stay overnight.

This hotel is rundown and needs a good cleaning. The rugs in the elevator were dirty, my bathroom had a bad smell. The wall where my bed was on, had visible beverage stains (someone tried to clean it, but did a lousy job). Breakfast was great the last time I visited. Now, just powered eggs (looked like a muffin) a biscuit and gravy.

This hotel was the BEST hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Everything was just GREAT! The only recommendation I would make to see is more of a variety of hot food and real eggs, not powered eggs. Patty sausage and links, starch like potatoes and biscuits, fresh fruit.

The breakfast menu could have been a little more broad. The only thing I really could eat was the eggs. The bathroom did not have a vent/fan. Other than that it was a decent place. Love the decor. Staff could have been a little bit more friendly but overall good stay.

DO NOT STAY HERE. I strongly regret booking this hotel, and after this experience, I will never prepay for a stay here again. When I arrived to check in, the receptionist was friendly enough, but the check-in process was frustrating because she repeatedly asked me the same questions even after I had already answered them multiple times. The lobby itself looked outdated and was not as clean as I expected from a hotel. Unfortunately, the room was even worse. It was immediately obvious that the room had not been properly maintained or cleaned. There was a spider in the corner, visible dust, a dirty telephone, rust in multiple areas, and an outdated bathroom. Overall, the room did not feel clean, comfortable, or properly maintained, and I did not feel comfortable staying there. I immediately went back to the front desk and explained my concerns. In my opinion, the basic cleanliness and maintenance standards I expect from a hotel simply were not met. I requested a refund and explained that I did not feel comfortable staying in the room. The receptionist contacted the owner and told me that because I had booked through Hotels.com, I would have to pursue the refund through the third-party booking site. I left extremely disappointed and upset. I also tried to get a refund through hotels.com, and they said owner denied it. Therefore, I was not issued a refund. The owner is cheap, a liar, and the hotel is not all the way cleaned. Don’t stay here.

The room was clean. Check-in was quick and simple. The front desk clerk was pleasant. There were chocolate chip cookies at the entrance (fresh and good). The air conditioning worked well. The only bad thing (my fault) I forgot to put the “do not disturb” tag on the door and housekeeping was knocking on the door two hours before checkout. Otherwise, my overall stay was great. Checkout went well also since I was able to text from my phone that we were out and left the room.
