Extended Stay America Suites - Minneapolis - Maple Grove

First impression, reeks like weed. It’s legal, but yuck! Parking lot was has garbage and cigarette buttes everywhere Gal checking us in was pleasant. Most of the Lights in room don’t work. Tub/shower, not sure I want to use it.

It is in a nice location. Some of the facilities are a bit outdated. Friendly and professional staff.

Trash around the property, could be cleaner!

It was ok but there was a fire in the building and the alarm woke me my kids and my pregnant fiance up at 4am and it was not okay at all

I like the kitchen options but overall had a very dirty feeling. I ran out of TP, without additional stock available in the unit. Front desk staff not super welcoming or helpful at all. Air unit smelled moldy.

We have no objection with governments using hotel facilities to house homeless or aliens, but if the chain wishes to retain my loyalty it must not sacrifice its standards. The parking lot was littered with trash that had clearly been driven-over for days. The sidewalk leading into the lobby was covered with stains and colored chalk drawings from children resident in the building. We realize that extended stay hotels, with kitchenettes, permit occupants to cook in their rooms; however, more transient guests, like ourselves, do not want to smell the lingering odors of others’ meals. Moreover, the cleaning staff must have been focused on something other than truly cleaning the room. We did not see evidence of insects, (and we did check the corners of the mattress and bed sheets) but we did leave the hotel with bites.

Started off with the elevator not working, next our key wouldn't open the door, spent a long time working it, even getting it stuck in the slot. Entering the room was completely disappointing, first thing we noticed was a strong smell of smoke. You could still see foot prints in the floor. The room was filthy. The tub was dripping all night, we had to ask for a shower curtain as there wasnt even one in place. Overall we felt dirtier just staying here. Cabinet doors broken, missing handles, light fixtures missing or missing covers, outlet covers off. And the stated free breakfast? Some muffins and coffee. Not a breakfast.

It is good for a week or more because it has kitchenettes. Location is very convenient to downtown Maple Grove.

This hotel is very run down. Amenities are scant.

Our kitchen sink was dripping all night long. There was a dripping sound in the bathroom (like between the walls), but we couldn't tell where it was coming from. The outside pet area was not well maintained & my key card would not work at that door. The breakfast area was supposed to be open until 9:30 am, but they ran out of coffee at 7:45 am and the guy at the front desk said that he did not know how to make coffee and the person who did had already left for the day. I don't think I will stay at this location again.

The property starting with the lobby was dirty, outdated and overall in poor condition. The room was dated. Appliances old and furniture in disrepair. I would not stay here again. It needs a complete overhaul

Door propped open when arrived. No bedspread, pillow cases, or TV remote. Floor was dirty - did not look like it had been cleaned. Water constantly ran in the bathtub - could not be turned off. Intoxicated person walking hallways. Someone vomited in front of our room. Stayed maybe an hour and left.

We did not end up spending the night here. There was a hole in the wall about 6 inches wide, the back of the bathroom door had a large sticker in it as wide as the door. The furniture was in so disrepair the drawers in the dresser wouldn't close. The cover for the ceiling fan in the bathroom was in the sink. It was NOT clean we didn't even feel comfortable to sit down. I would like my money back from this property. I'm surprised it's not condemned.

Bathroom had a sticky floor with hair all over the base of the toilet. There was water running out of the shower control non-stop. Carpets are dirty and splatters on the wall in the kitchen area.

Facility very poor condition. Bed and bathroom stained and smelled bad. We could not spend time there. We did receive a refund and left.

We had to find a hotel in a hurry as our daughter had surgery and had complications and ended up being admitted, we seen this hotel on expedia and was close by so we decided to go with it, from the the very first impression of walking up to the front desk was bad, there was no one there, there was a sign up that said dial the number for help, we did this 4 times before someone came and was still actively chewing food when she got to the front desk, we were exhausted as we drove several hours to bring our daughter to the hospital so we just wanted to get to our room and go to sleep, we got in the elevator which had burn marks in it, graffiti, and dirty floor, room was filthy,smelled bad, greasy hand prints caked on the bathroom door, cabinet doors were broken and dangling, brown stains on the ceiling, mysterious white stains by the corner of the bed on the floor, we will leave you to your imagination to what those stains were, gross! The chair in the corner was ripped, stains in the carpet, the wall light was dangling and light flickering, there was a marijuana blunt roach on the floor next to the end table,black frizzy hair in the bed, the sheets had stains, and the bed was broken and leaning towards the head board so I barely was able to sleep it was the worst most uncomfortable and disgusting stay I've ever had and that says a lot I'm not a picky person and am usually understanding but for that place to get that bad it had to have been neglected for quite some time.

Absolutely horrible. Arrived to the hotel and the trash in the room was overflowing onto the floor, the sheets were stained and full of crumbs, the floor was covered in crumbs, trash was left all over the kitchen area, and dirty, wet towels were left piled in the bathtub.

Doesn't bode well when you check in and theres still a fan attempting to dry the soaked carpet still in your room. My room smelled so bad of mildew I couldn't be in there long. My carpet was soaked to where I couldn't take my shoes off unless I wanted wet socks or feet. Don't get me started on the half cleaning that was done to the room. Extended stay has gone DOWNHILL!!!

This property sadly is very dirty with garbage outside the property and inside the halls of the property, even the large area rug in front of the desk for check in is filthy like its never been vacuumed. The stove in the room was not useable due to the burners being rusted over. We did NOT stay we walked right out and cancelled our reservation.

My room wasn’t very clean. The towels were stained yellow and my room was set to 62°F when I got there at 10 pm.

It did what it needed to do. I liked the full size fridge and lighting.

The TV didn't work. The kitchen sink leaks and I had a hard time sleeping. The upstairs neighbors were too loud. Upon arrival our room wasn't ready.

Awful shower head, terrible service, none of the outlets worked

Property was conveniently located for our needs, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. ( Especially Kevin on the afternoon shift) The room was spacious and the king sized bed was very comfortable. However, there were multiple things in the room in need of repair. The kitchen faucet constantly dripped, the sink was stained and kind of gross, and the countertop was bubbling up...needing to be replaced. The picture online shows a coffee pot in the room....but there wasn't one. ( Thank you Kevin for finding that for us) Also the shower head needs replacing. And there was a hole in the wall where someone before us had opened the bathroom door and smashed the wall with the handle. We were in the area to visit family, so really didn't spend much time in the room. As long as the bed was comfortable and the room was clean, that was what mattered most for us. (And, of course the coffee pot) We will research other options before booking here again

Window was broken and sitting on the floor. The window would not close completely. This caused the noise from the nearby freeway to be louder than usual.

Not real impressed with the room. I wasn’t expecting luxury at this price point, but clean and working should be the basics at any price point. The carpet had multiple large stains, two of the four lamps didn’t work, and the TV remote was missing a battery so we couldn’t watch TV.

The room needs some repairs. The shelf in the closet needs to be rehung, stove vent does not work, and the light switches over table and by the bed need adjusting.

Room was disgusting. Stained and peeling tub, faucet dripping, shades torn, holed in walls, missing electrical outlets

Staff was very accommodating and friendly!

We attempted to check in and they apologized but said they had no rooms available which left us with no where to stay. We were told this “just happens sometimes” and that we wouldn’t be charged but I still have a pending charge on my account. The hotel staff stated his just happens sometimes when the hotel gets booked through 3rd party apps (Hotels.com).

Took 5 minutes for someone to come to the desk at check in and the place is dirty! The clerk didn’t offer anything to us or even greet us. I said we are here to check in and she said - name? Then proceeded to not say another word. The clerk in the morning was worse! Asked what do you want ? I said checking out and handed her our room keys that she threw on the front counter and started to walk into the back and when I stood there - she said - do you need something else. I told her. Wasn’t comfortable leaving my room keys that had the room number on the holder just laying out. Someone could grab the. And access the room. She never punched anything in the computer that would deactivate the keys she said no one would do that and walked to the back.

Room was clean but limited staff. Always waited for receptionist. It was okay

The night we arrived after paying earlier that day, the hotel was overbooked and no rooms were available. Therre were 5 other guests trying to check into rooms that were paid for and “reserved”. 2 rooms were found available, (we received 1 of those rooms) the other guests had to leave and find new accommodations elsewhere. At nearly 10pm

We booked our stay for two days but arrived and there were no employees to be found, so we couldn't get checked in and couldn't get our key to our room. I WANT MY MONEY BACK, WE DID NOT STAY!

We first walked in to check in and the desk associate was on her phone and had to wheel her chair over to the front desk to help us. The hotel was dingy, elevator had some trash in it, the door to our room stuck so had to push extremely hard to open and close. The kitchen had food left in it, there was no toilet paper, water on the bathroom floor, smelled like pot, shower head sprayed water from pipe right into the ceiling. And to top it off, I booked and paid through Hotels.com, but the hotel itself then charged me when we stayed as well. I called to inquire about the charge and all they said was, "you'll have to call back." I called back and they said they don't get payments from 3rd parties so they have to charge. I'm still waiting on the GM to call me back. Do NOT stay here and pay double for a terrible room.

This property was reasonably priced and in a decent area. It is also a little scary … a little more rundown inside than I expected and some unsavory guests … strong marijuana smell, drunk guy in lobby, cop in the lobby. We felt a little uneasy.

This hotel was ok for the price. Its in a good location that is safe and quiet. However my bath tub didnt have the lever to make it a shower, it appeared as though it had been cut off or something. Staff took note of it but seemed too busy to actually fix anything. The on the go breakfast lacked options so i was glad i brought my own food.

At early evening check in the front desk attendant was unaware of our arrival as was listening to her headphones. Lobby smelled of recent ‘weed’ smoke Was traveling with family and that room had a broken room phone and key card lock. And a grab and go breakfast should NOT be considered as breakfast included.

Room had no shower curtain. The remote for the tv didn’t work. The free breakfast was granola bars and coffee. Expected more and got less. Will not stay at this type of room again.

The issue I had was promptly corrected. The breakfast was a high carbohydrate breakfast and since I am on a no-carbohydrate diet all I could have was tea.

To expensive for the service, and the breakfast wasn’t much more than a muffin
