We were in the area for two days. The world renowned group, Abbacadabra, was performing a benefit concert for the firefighters on Friday, August 21. Friends from Washington came to join us for the concert. We went one day early so we could play games. We were very disappointed that there was no gathering area in your hotel that was available to guests. The breakfast room would have been a good place to sit to play games. But it sits unused and locked between 9:30 AM and 6:30 AM. The patio area is not clean or well maintained, and there is no shade so that wasn’t an option except during the evening when it was cool enough to sit outside. We were fortunate to be able to drive a few miles to the Marriott City Express on Yew Street, where the band was staying. They allowed us to sit in their breakfast area all afternoon to play games and visit with our friends. We expect there to be more than a couch in a lobby in the hotels we choose, so we won’t be visiting this Best Western in the future. On the plus side, our rooms were clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was adequate.

The room itself was absolutely disgusting, I've always stayed at best westerns because the rooms have always been exceptionally clean but this one was not. I had pushed the bed to the wall because I have my newborn baby with us and under the bed was nasty. I found a whole peach pit, a whole layer of dust and lots of food debris. Their was a bag of half eaten chips next to the fridge and the bathroom had pink mold in the shower. My towels had hair on them and the sides of the vanity had bits of toilet paper and dust all under it. The toilet didn't flush properly and when it did it made the loudest high pitch noise that went on for about 40mins after flushing. The elevator was broken and they put us on the 3rd floor, I just had a C-section 4 weeks prior so that was extremely difficult. It was fixed by the next day but i really wish they would have offered to put us on the first floor or something as i was unable to lift more than 15lbs so i was relying on the baby stroller for support. The breakfast was honestly the best park of this stay I give that a 10/10 and the staff was really friendly. The front desk staff seemed a bit under trained but the morning manager really went out of his way to help when I accidentally booked an extra night so that was appreciated. I don't think I would stay at this particular best Western again.
