The importance of the sanctuary is also due to its privileged position that allows one to enjoy an amazing panorama and to the presence of the hermit's cave, dug into the rock and inhabited in the 16th century by a hermit belonging to the Jesuit order. Today, unfortunately, the cave remains visible only from the outside due to a natural collapse of the rock in 2003.
