This place is so clean and beautiful. It feels like home, the moment you walk into it. The staffs are amazing. They are very friendly, welcoming and supportive. The owners took time to make this place unique and comfortable. They carefully thought of the most basic and important needs of mankind and equipped them into their hotel. You will not lack or miss anything, while you are staying here. There are books in the rooms to read, apart from the television. The beds and beddings are very comfortable. The bathroom is very clean. There is always coffee and tea at the Lobby and continental breakfast in the mornings. There is a rooftop terrace with amazing views. Above all, my stay there was awesome.

Incredible stay, came here celebrating girlfriend’s birthday. Stayed here 3 nights and also offered a discounted stranded rate after being stuck on island so 4 total nights. The location is fabulous just up the hill on a Main Street in town. Staff was very welcoming and friendly throughout stay. The rooms are very clean, classy, bed is soft just melt right into it. The room is pretty big, I have read that on other hotel rooms on this island it can be a negative factor. The roof top deck is a great place to have a drink or just take in the views. When we checked in I told them it’s my girlfriends birthday the following day. They provided champagne and a lovely card for a fantastic memory. It was a very nice surprise to come back to the hotel on her birthday and see that awaiting her. I would definitely recommend staying here and would stay there again in a future visit. We saw many of the the other hotels on the island and are satisfied that this is the best option on Catalina island.

Well maintained and CLEAN accommodation. Nicely decorated and appointed. Best part was the friendly staff who were personable and helpful with local knowledge information. I will definitely stay here next time I visit Catalina Island. The rooftop terrace is awesome on a clear night. The only improvement I could recommend would be a gas lit table or fire pit.

Wow - What a great hotel. Great location within waling distance of the Avalon harbor, maybe 5-7 minutes walk, or they offer a free taxi ride over from the harbor. Scenic views of the harbor and the Casino, great staff (friendly, helpful, knowledgeable), great service, and accommodating during the big storm that rolled in for New Years Eve 2022. The person behind the desk was very nice, helpful, offered suggestions on things to see and do, he even helped another guest get a tie for the NYE party at the Casino, the guest had forgotten his tie. He was nice enough to tell us about the storm coming in and the boats might be cancelled coming in and going out. He told us to check with the boat place to make sure we could get a change in our boat tickets and get off the island. The day we got in, we arrived a little early but they stored our bags and then delivered them to our room before we got there. Great local taffy in the lobby, and some more in your room along with some drinks and chocolates. The room was spacious, clean, filled with amenities. The hotel is very close to shopping, restaurants, the harbor, the casino, etc. We are definitely looking forward to visiting again.

Beautiful little hotel staff was super friendly very accommodating their little courtyard in the back very cute and quaint great little breakfast options room was very clean. Bathrooms were remodeled and very clean. Our only complaint would probably be some new pillows, and the bed was probably a little too soft for our liking other than that I would definitely still stay there again.

Very quaint and comfortable. Close walk to all the amenities. They have a nice patio area on the roof for relaxing with full view of the surrounding area.

Great location and warm hospitality. Only downside is that there is no elevator to access Front Desk and rooms but hourly provides assistance for heavier luggage(s).

Short trip from LA to Catalina. The hotel is convenient- located off the main pedestrian street so was very quiet. They have a lovely courtyard with Koi pond for breakfast. Rooftop deck with great 360 view. Everything was clean and well maintained. Staff was friendly and professional. Would stay again.

The hotel was everything we hope for and more. The staff was extremely friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. The room was clean and extremely enjoyed the balcony. Providing beach chairs was an excellent amenity. I look forward to returning to the hotel on our next stay.

From the moment we arrived there was always someone at the front desk with a smile and a friendly chat! The room was fantastic with very soft beds and huge bathroom! We especially loved the lighted mirror and huge tub! Would highly recommend the Avalon Hotel to everyone!

Construction going on was loud during the day, so it wasn't ideal but not too annoying. Balcony was big and ha good seating but ocean view was limited. Included breakfast was outstanding.

This place is so clean and beautiful. It feels like home, the moment you walk into it. The staffs are amazing. They are very friendly, welcoming and supportive. The owners took time to make this place unique and comfortable. They carefully thought of the most basic and important needs of mankind and equipped them into their hotel. You will not lack or miss anything, while you are staying here. There are books in the rooms to read, apart from the television. The beds and beddings are very comfortable. The bathroom is very clean. There is always coffee and tea at the Lobby and continental breakfast in the mornings. There is a rooftop terrace with amazing views. Above all, my stay there was awesome.

I book with Avalon Hotel to celebrate my fiancé s 60th birthday. The began communication with me right after booking. We arrived early and room was ready. They provided a nice bottle of sparkling champagne and a personalized card for my fiancé. Hotel and accommodation were perfect, clean and cozy. Breakfast was light and refreshing. Hotel was quiet and you could not hear guests and staff coming and going. We will definitely book with Avalon Hotel every time we go to the island.

Incredible stay, came here celebrating girlfriend’s birthday. Stayed here 3 nights and also offered a discounted stranded rate after being stuck on island so 4 total nights. The location is fabulous just up the hill on a Main Street in town. Staff was very welcoming and friendly throughout stay. The rooms are very clean, classy, bed is soft just melt right into it. The room is pretty big, I have read that on other hotel rooms on this island it can be a negative factor. The roof top deck is a great place to have a drink or just take in the views. It was a very nice surprise to come back to the hotel on her birthday and see that awaiting her. I would definitely recommend staying here and would stay there again in a future visit. Well maintained and CLEAN accommodation. Nicely decorated and appointed. Best part was the friendly staff who were personable and helpful with local knowledge information. I will definitely stay here next time I visit Catalina Island. The rooftop terrace is awesome on a clear night. The only improvement I could recommend would be a gas lit table or fire pit.

From the moment we arrived there was always someone at the front desk with a smile and a friendly chat! The room was fantastic with very soft beds and huge bathroom! We especially loved the lighted mirror and huge tub! Would highly recommend the Avalon Hotel to everyone!

Nice property and enjoyed our stay up until my wife’s necklace was forgotten in the room. They claimed not to be able to find it. Definitely our fault for leaving it, but low morales of staff to steal it.

Wow - What a great hotel. Great location within waling distance of the Avalon harbor, maybe 5-7 minutes walk, or they offer a free taxi ride over from the harbor. Scenic views of the harbor and the Casino, great staff (friendly, helpful, knowledgeable), great service, and accommodating during the big storm that rolled in for New Years Eve 2022. The person behind the desk was very nice, helpful, offered suggestions on things to see and do, he even helped another guest get a tie for the NYE party at the Casino, the guest had forgotten his tie. He was nice enough to tell us about the storm coming in and the boats might be cancelled coming in and going out. He told us to check with the boat place to make sure we could get a change in our boat tickets and get off the island. The day we got in, we arrived a little early but they stored our bags and then delivered them to our room before we got there. Great local taffy in the lobby, and some more in your room along with some drinks and chocolates. The room was spacious, clean, filled with amenities. The hotel is very close to shopping, restaurants, the harbor, the casino, etc. We are definitely looking forward to visiting again.

Beautiful little hotel staff was super friendly very accommodating their little courtyard in the back very cute and quaint great little breakfast options room was very clean. Bathrooms were remodeled and very clean. Our only complaint would probably be some new pillows, and the bed was probably a little too soft for our liking other than that I would definitely still stay there again.

Great property in a beautiful city of Avalon on Catalina Island. One of my favorite vacations I’ve been on and the hotel helped a lot with that as well. Spacious room and bathroom, very clean, great location, and beautiful balcony view. Catalina Island is amazing and we will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend The Avalon Hotel to all!

The hotel was charming, and our balcony looked onto the ocean. The rooftop offered a panoramic view of the town, bay, and surrounding hills. The outdoor breakfast patio was very nice, with hummingbirds flitting around. He only downside was very weak water pressure in the shower, but everything else was wonderful.

Really fun for a reunion of 7 friends. Kevin poured us wine in the evening and we had breakfast on the patio in the mornings. Perfect location for walking into town.
