The staff was unhelpful. The shuttle to the Mayo Hospital never ran in 2 days and the staff watched people waiting for it without telling anyone that it was not operating, which nearly caused some people to miss doctors appointments. No shuttle and had to uber for 2 days to the hospital.

2 stars because the room was clean and serviceable, but the rest of the facility needs attention from the ownership; some simple maintenance issues like a broken top to the in-room coffee maker, the door didn't automatically latch; then every piece of equipment in the gym was broken and unusable, the only working ice machine was in the breakfast room on the 1st floor, front door slider worked but was off kilter, door key had to be reset every day, staff was nice but not totally responsive and couldn't do much about most of the issues other than acknowledge that they knew about it.

Should have requested another room on check in, but we were settled in and I was already in pjs after day surgery that day. I traveled all night and half the day and when I booked the hotel I was ready to go in and go to sleep. The lady at the desk was doing multiple things helping out other guest and was extremely nice to everyone. She had my room open and let me in a couple hours before check in. I definitely needed that rest. I travel a lot and will be looking for Microtel hotels now!!

We found the location of the property was very convenient to the Mayo Clinic area. The facility was clean, the rooms were large, and the building was quiet. Our only regret was that we didn't allow enough time to enjoy the complimentary breakfast. It looked like there was a good variety and people seemed to be enjoying themselves.

Entering the facility the lobby looked dirty. There were 3 people in line to check in and there were 3 clerks behind the desk but only 1 clerk helped people check in. There was a man who came from outside to ask a clerk to search for a occupant because his phone wasn't working, he gave a name of the guest and a clerk called the room. It seemed odd that the man was hesitant or didn't know his name. There were several people in the parking lot drinking alcohol and/or smoking marijuana. The elevator door has scratches and graffiti scratched on the inside of the door. The facility looks run down and of need of deep cleaning. The bathroom in our room was dirty., hair and thick dust in the corners. Towels were clean and fresh. Carpet was dirty, my white socks were dark gray after walking only in room. The bed linens were clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The eating area for breakfast was sufficient although the upholstery of chairs were very dirty looking and stained. The breakfast selection was fine. Honestly, the hotel patrons seemed very downcast and possibly indigent. There is a concerning sign on the check in desk that stated no cash accepted, must have a valid ID and credit card., which seemed like there may have been a problem with clientele. We left our room only to go to dinner and returned to lock the doors. Again, the parking lot in the evening had several individuals who seemed suspicious. I'm sorry to leave this review, as I generally do not, but with

Great location, bed was actually comfortable, staff was friendly and helpful getting me another key after I locked myself out. Breakfast wasn’t bad for being free. unfortunately they didn’t have milk. Wish they had a pool or hot tub.

Shuttle to mayo is route bus and ends too early for late appointments at clinic. 5PM. Breakfast is OK, continental only. The waffle was made fresh by yourself and pretty good.

Convenient location. Breakfast was the same thing everyday, only had biscuits and gravy the first day, then they had an out of order sign on the gravy warming unit. And couple days there was rotten oranges put out

I am immunocompromised and when I went to breakfast there were no tongs to pull pastries out of the box. The waffle maker was not working. We were there for the Mayo Clinic and were told we could not get the Mayo discount because we did not book directly through them. Air conditioner/heater very loud in room. Thought it was someone getting ice as our room was right by the ice machine.

Hotel needs maintenance and a good cleaning. The tile floor was unbelievably sticky. The room smelled awful. Breakfast was a typical cheap hotel breakfast. Location was not bad.

We stay at this hotel 5 or 6 times a year. The staff has always been great, the rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. It's also a very good value and it's located right across the parking lot from Broadway Pizza if you want to get dinner and a drink you can walk!

I've stayed in quite a few hotel rooms in different parts of the country, I've never had a more terrible experience trying to get rooms. First mistake I booked a non-refundable thru hotels.com. Most of the reviews on there looked decent and I liked the price for an overnight stay. After getting checked in, my original room on first floor was extremely humid with a musty smell, even with the AC on. The pillows were damp as well as the bed covers. I'm super reactive to mold (asthma) and discovered what appeared to be black mold on the wooded bed frame and along the bottom of the walls (did not get pics unfortunately) Had no trouble getting rooms switched after explaining to the front desk and her response "yeah it's been really humid here lately"....? Second attempt was a room (2nd floor) that hadn't been cleaned, and powered substance on the desk. 3rd room down the hall from the 2nd one looked/smelled the best, but I wasn't trusting at this point. Discovered mold on the frames as well, or whatever it was. I decided it wasn't worth my time nor safe to try to stay overnight. Have yet to get refund for this, highly doubt I will.
