Silver Beach Hotel

The first room they gave us smelled bad and had a dirty bathr

The Staff was helpful and the rooms were clean plus large. The location is walkable to most things to see and do in town.

Too much money for dirty sheets and run down hotel. The pool and hot tub were even out of commission.

Good value for the money. Staff was accommodating, so close we walked to the beach

The location was excellent and I think that is what you pay a lot for. The Hotel itself is tired and in need of renovations. The first room we were in, the toilet was not working and the staff did respond quickly and put us in another room with a working toilet. The continental breakfast was very scant and although breakfast sandwiches were mentioned by staff on checking in, other than toast, bagels and peanut butter and jam, nothing else. No hot portion like eggs or bacon or sausage. The bed was extremely comfortable though and had a good night sleep. And as I said, the location right downtown and walking distance to all downtown activities, amenities and restaurants and pubs. Plenty of parking at the hotel. If not for the location though, I wouldn’t pay more than half the price of what I actually paid for this hotel.
