Courtyard by Marriott Springfield Downtown

The staff were all very friendly and so accommodating! The room was clean and fresh smelling. The on-site laundry facilities were an added bonus! The dining (dinner and breakfast) was excellent!!

It was a wonderful stay, and the neighborhood around offered great cappuccinos wish there were assigned parking for guests, as it was hard to park with meetings going on, but otherwise thumbs up all the way

Everything about the stay was awesome, minus the elevators. One was broken and the other must be close to breaking it because not only was it slow, it also would stop at random floors. It was a busy weekend for them so it made navigating floors a little difficult in a timely manner.

The staff is without question amazing! The front desk was welcoming and the staff at the bar is without doubt top notch!. As much as I love the building, the rooms are starting to show their age, and wear and tear. Hopefully the owners are going to put money into that area soon before it gets ahead of them. My room have water spots and glue on the wall where they tried to fix it, and the top had rust in the bottom. The equipment in the fitness room is definitely showing wear and tear, and in need of being replaced in many cases. The staff is the sole reason I keep coming back here

I thought the hotel was very nice, the parking was a little tricky to get to, and the breakfast was a little expensive, but good.

Location was good in proximatey for our needs, downtown area seemed safe and well maintained. Short-drive to restaurants and shopping that we needed to do. Room was decent and clean, had some very minor deferred maintenance needed. All hotel staff that we interacted with were friendly and helpful. Only minor complaint was that in evening hours it was difficult to find parking. There was also construction that took up some of the parking so it may be better in the future. The construction noise was a bit annoying also in the weekday mornings while trying to sleep, but again, this is not a long-term issue.

We were fortunate to arrive as the city Halloween Party was beginning. There were hundreds of families out with their kids, a few dogs. The hotel is a perfect location, easy parking. Staff was helpful and friendly. We ate at the hotel restaurant, great dinner. 'As two women, we felt very safe.

Our biking group stayed here due to it’s location being very close to the trail. The pool needed some attention. Other than that, it was all that we required.

Room was clean but dated. Pillows were flat and lumpy. Available water bottles in the room had been opened and refilled by a previous guest.

you could actually smell the mold the tub was filthy and the mattress was super hard

Breakfast buffet was not a free serve yourself but a menu option in the restaurant, and then you got up and served yourself. Was expensive for what you got. Didn't notice on arrival there was a smudge of something (dirt? body fluid? other??) on the duvet. In morning when leaving for the day, stopped at front desk asked if housekeeping service was daily or every other, was told every 3rd day, which I've never heard of, especially at Marriott. Asked in meantime for fresh bathmat, since ours was pretty wet, also asked that they replace duvet. On return to room that night, found wet bathmat still on floor and no duvet replacement. Called front desk, they sent housekeeper with just the light coverlet. Showed housekeeper the mess on the duvet, she was surprised and rushed out to get a new one, replaced it. Asked if we wanted the sheets changed, and we declined, was not necessary. Then reminded her of the bathmat, she had forgotten; again, she left and came back with one. On day3 return to room that night, it was clean. Towels replaced, bed remade, garbage emptied but pillows were piled onto the chair and the cases were not clean. Called front desk,housekeeper came, she was confused about why she left the pillows. Changed them out. When we went to get into the bed, noticed the sheets themselves had not been changed, just bed remade. Next a.m. on way out told front desk, asked they be changed; that night on returning, they had been. Very disappointed in the housekeeping.

Over all our stay was great. We always stay here when visiting family. The only complaint really is the bathroom sink and shower was still dirty from the last guest. There was hair in both places. BUT the room was very clean and the bed is so comfortable! We will continue to stay here.

King suite but small room, limited outlets, morning shower had cold water! Mini fridge had a 2 hour timer (so small it couldn't even hold a to-go box that was half sized). Shower toiletries were nice, room & hotel clean. Recommend getting a breakfast sandwich from hotel restaurant.

Overall very good experience. My HVAC unit was a bit loud and couldn't seem to settle on a temperature to stop running but other than that, they stay was good

The room i had definitely needs another mattress. One side is leaning down which made for a very uncomfortable sleep. Thats something that needs to addressed asap

Walls are a bit thin. I think breakfast should be included for the price. But a clean, well kept downtown location hotel.

Ice machine was out on our floor. The refrigerator is too small. Might as well have NONE! Trash can too small. Leave extra bags or something. The drain in the tub was sloooow. Breakfast was a little expensive so we opted out. Microwave in every room! PLEASE

Some of the physical facilities are a bit dated, but everything was clean and the staff members that we met were all incredible. We will be happy to return on our next trip.

Hotel appears to be recently updated. Area around the hotel is a little sketchy with homeless appearing people on benches by the hotel day and night. I am disabled and stayed at the hotel while my husband had things to tend to while in Springfield. I was unable to connect to the supposed Free Wi-Fi on my fairly new Apple phone. The desk clerk’s response was “that happens sometimes with newer phones”. What? I had to use my personal cellular data to entertain myself, when I should have been able to use the Wi-Fi for free with our booking.

Room was small. No microwave Walls thin We could hear children crying and parents fussing ..the doors closing was to loud The heater was to loud.

Not very friendly staff. Manager was to busy with her own event that she held there for her daughters graduation. Lots of distraction .... then we were charged fees that we were not aware of like a conference fee. We never even walked through the conference because the manager was having her own event. We will never go there again and it tarnished our visits to future Marriott.

My family and I booked adjoining rooms months in advance. When my son and his wife arrived, they were told the room was not ready yet since it was an adjoining room (it was about an hour before check in time). We then left to get lunch and came back to check in. At that point we were told there were no adjoining rooms available. When the two of us made a surprised look on our faces, the clerk, Judy Snell, looked at us and said “I don’t know what you want me to do, someone needed the room last night, and so we gave it to them!” Even though just an hour earlier she stated that the room was being cleaned. She then proceeded with maybe you should have booked the room for two nights if you wanted adjoining rooms! Not once did she apologize to us. She was rude and very unprofessional. We had booked the adjoining rooms because my husband and I were going to be babysitting the two small children while they were at a wedding. My daughter in law even called the hotel over a month ago to make sure that our reservation with the two adjoining rooms was confirmed! At that time she was told everything was good. It was bad enough that the reservation was not right, but when Judy started with her rude attitude and comments that really did it for me. I have never experienced a situation like this before. The hotel was very clean, and comfortablle. The cleaning staff were very friendly! But that first impression at the front desk really left a bad taste in my mouth.

All the staff at the property were phenomenal! We had a large group that booked individual rooms and everyone was treated with kindness and great service.

We found a room last minute during the holidays when my niece got sick and they needed to free up a room at home. The staff were so accomodating, and they remembered my husband by name at the bar, Mela, when we arrived. (We had our wedding in town about a month before.) Highly recommend. Everything downtown is so cute at the holidays.

Comfortable and clean hotel; good dining options in an enclosed public market across the street. We stayed one night, and the only issue is that in the morning, we were repeatedly asked when we were leaving. Check out was at noon. My husband went to take a big suitcase out early, and a staff person followed him out to the parking lot and asked if he was leaving. Someone called the room and asked when we were leaving. An hour later, my husband was again asked when we were leaving. We checked out by noon, and at two minutes past, I met my husband in the lobby so we could go out to the car, and the woman behind the desk, when I came in, said hello and I said hello back, and when I walked past her to another part of the lobby where my husband was, she said, 'Excuse me, can I HELP you?' which just felt so weird and unfriendly. Maybe the latter incident happened because they are a downtown hotel so they have to be a little guarded, but the vibe in the morning was definitely 'get out of here' to paying guests, even well before check out. But great AC. I'll give them that!

Springfield has a great downtown and you can wander it from the hotel.

Good location to visit Frank Lloyd Wright Westcott house. Appreciated bar/bistro in hotel. Clean, comfortable stay.

Great hotel. Clean, staff really professional and nice. Great place to stay for a fast night cap. Unfortunately town, while beautiful, is bare of amenities. Woke up Monday at 9am and told every place is closed on Mondays. We did find a coffee shop at least to get a coffee.

Easy check in. Staff very friendly, and helpful. Unfortunately, booking site information is not up to date, as I specifically booked based on bar, and restaurant as I drove in 12 hours. Both closed, told by staff because it was Sunday. Not enough business to warrant. If I would have known ahead of time I would have booked in Urbana , which would have been more convenient to my visit.

My friend and I were very pleased with everything about the hotel. Part of it was the location; the night we were there was the city Halloween celebration.The only complaint was that the breakfast eggs were cold.

Wifi was not working and shower whistles. Tv volume was not working and kept having to adjust. Parking is not the best, hotel guests need to be priority over visitors. Breakfast Buffet selection could be better.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Breakfast was great with Starbucks in the restaurant which was a nice surprise. The area around the hotel was clean with nice restaurants and shops. Overall a great experience.
