Staff most accommodating, no lift, but they were able to change our room to the ground floor. Lovely decor, spotless. Good bar menu and breakfast. Parking easy. Would definitely stay again. Thank you.

Easy to get to from the M42, and free parking. Hotel is clean, the staff were friendly and the room was a good size. Air con in the room which was also important for the summer. The restaurant/pub attached served good food too. Would stay again. Only downside was no lift, but this trip I didn’t have much luggage.

Stayed here a good number of times and always enjoyed our stay. Food is always decent albeit pub style grub, restaurant can get busy so worth booking a table, very easy to do on the app. Staff always polite and extremely helpful. Rooms are a good size and always clean and well presented. Bar area is usually pretty busy every evening but has a great atmosphere.

First room tv no sound. Moved to much smaller room with no reduction. Needed a sat nav to get to the room! No lift

A good Public House with rooms,clean and tidy Staff were very pleasant and a night porter is on hand. A down point is that there are a lot of stairs and if like me with mobility issues it is exhausting

Hotel has been upgraded and is very comfortable. Our room was huge with lovely free standing bath but we had to go along lots of corridors and stairs. At breakfast cups were chipped and not that clean but food was great

Bathroom smelt awful and it hit us as soon as we entered the room. Grubby carpet and torn lace on the windows. Parking was sufficient although hard to get into. Staff were friendly. Bed was like a brick. Very hard and high so hard to get in and out of. Would not stay again

I’ve stayed at this hotel before but this visit was quite disappointing. I was left waiting to check in despite ringing the bell, and the staff seemed unfriendly. The room I was given felt like the worst option available. While the room was generally fine, the bathroom really needed a deep clean. The biggest issue, however, was the room’s location. I was placed in a ground-floor accessible room—despite booking months in advance and not requesting one—situated right next to reception. This meant constant door slamming throughout my stay, as well as noise from the bar, and to make matters worse, staff members were taking private phone calls late at night in the small corridor beside my door, adding even more noise. Overall, the experience was far below expectations.

Bathroom fan was broken and full of dust. Very unhealthy. Most of the tea cups were chipped.

Great place to stay, clean rooms and staff were very helpful and friendly. A nice atmosphere and good food.

Great value comfortable stay. Comfy bed, soft linens and nice decor. Air conditioning was a nice surprise in a UK hotel. Bathroom was quite small but great shower and clean, all looked recently refurbed. Take your own toiletries as only hand soap provided. Big tv and coffee/tea facilities. Breakfast in the pub was great so would recommend B&B.

Clean, nice staff, great location.

Everything was great but the one and only thing I would say could be improved would be the lighting in the room. There’s no lighting around the mirrors when you’re trying to get ready for your night out.

Lovely hotel, stayed in a family room which had good decor and the room had separate areas for me and the kids to sleep.

The Greswold is absolutely beautifully renovated. The rooms a very large, full size bath, the staff is incredibly nice. The restaurant downstairs is lovely! Easy walking to all shops & pubs

Have been using this hotel for the last 5 years on a regular basis and it is starting to look tired. Rooms could do with an update.

Check in was a nightmare! I actually had two pints at reception when waiting to sort room at the family room which I booked had a useless sofa bed with a 5cm foam mattress. Very poorly handled with numerous armature excuses. I explained we were going around in circles and suggested there could be a spare single bed in another room and offered to collect it ourselves. We were told that no rooms had spare beds, a colleague of ours happened to overhear the conversation said that he had a spare single in his room and solved the problem. This took an hour to sort and with no apologies or any consideration for other guests waiting to check in. Bar staff totally uninterested in serving and need training.

Had to wait ages to check in, bar staff were just looking at me! Had to ask for someone to check me in. Paid for breakfast but couldn’t find anyone to greet me for breakfast so just ended up leaving. Nice hotel / pub facilities just a lack of staff

I have only given staff and service 1 star as there was one member of staff who was very rude when serving at the bar to both my partner and other customers waiting to be served. We were going to enquire about having breakfast before leaving however the same member of staff was on the reception desk and didn’t even raise her head to acknowledge us and even though we were standing in front of her we were totally ignored. Consequently we just left our room key and went for breakfast elsewhere.

Perfect location. Very helpful staff. Beer a bit pricey but it’s a hotel so it’s expected.

Service was both friendly and professional. On checking in, we asked if we could have a quiet room and it was immediately changed. Tea and coffee were generous and welcome note and chocolates we a nice touch. This will become a regular place to stay when visiting family.

It's a nice place - the room was very good - and enjoyed a good meal in the evening. However, the service at breakfast was shocking - very poor indeed. I came into the bar from the hotel (so it's obvious I stayed) - and thanked like I was leaving - rather than directed to breakfast. A 'wait here' board - with no one in sight - so I find a table. No glasses for OJ - so I ask at the bar. No one takes my order - I go to the bar. I go to get a cup of tea - no cups - I go to the bar. The morning service seemed like they were caught napping - their manager needs to go see for themselves, and HO need to send a mystery shopper in....!

We came last February and thought the food was great, what was printed on the menu, was served. Your new chef seems to dish up what he wants. The chef & Brewer Benedict should also be served with mushrooms, I thought he was having a bad day but he served 2 others colleagues the same without mushrooms. The roast, we had just finished work late so we eat around 7pm but that should no excuse to served the roast potatoes (which were not even traditional roast potatoes) were hard and hollow. He should not have served these up but instead offered an alternative. We didn’t all sit together on Sunday but we all had the roast and mentioned the potatoes the next day, the roast was also lukewarm. At the time we didn’t complain, I think because we were tired and couldn’t be bothered. I also did not want the Yorkshire pudding but it was served!!! Fish & Chips on Monday night was missing my peas and my colleague’s burger and fries, well were they fries, they certainly were not fresh fries. Breakfast, your team of lovely young ladies order to chat at the other end of the bar, twice I had to go to the bar to place my order. Unfortunately, I was checked into room 31 but your lovely reception did not mentioned that someone was available to carry my luggage to room 31, 40 stairs away from reception, there were no other double rooms available when I called from the room. JJ was fantastic, service quick, professional and collected my luggage.

I think for the price i would have expected better quality of pillows and some some nice toiletries. Its an older building so was very creaky. So was conscious of walking around the room. We had dinner at the pub, and again the quality was not good and breakfast was dreadful, not worth the £10.50

nice to stay in a large property on the main road, but still quiet. Breakfast service and staff excellent, but lay out and quality of food disappointing .

Hotel moderno pulito e confortevole in posizione strategica per visitare il NEC di Birmingham senza trovarsi schiacciato nel traffico cittadino. colazione varia e buona, ma da ordinare al momento, buffet limitato al dolce e bevande. Ottimo anche come ristorante per la cena.
