Mountain Creek Resort at Appalachian Hotel - Pool & Hot Tub

The parking garage was hard to navigate with unclear signage to find the way out. Asked to park out in the top parking lot and was told I had to park across the road which is a very busy route. The room had worn lampshades, the bath tub stopper did not work so could not take a bath for $275 stay! And the room was all the way around at the very end of the corridor farthest away from the main entrance. Asked for a different room but was not accommodated. Would never stay here again. Had very little staff on premises. Door code did not work so had to walk all the way back to reception to get that problem fixed. Very poor service.

The A/C was very loud. Contacted the concierge and they had a maintenance person conclude that it needed a new compressor. They did not have any other rooms to put me in. Slept with ac off and it was uncomfortable and warm. I wouldn’t be staying here in the future.

We tired to check in to our room just before 11pm, the code was incorrect. We went back to the lobby and by sheer luck a person who worked there ran into us. He was able to call someone to get the correct code. Customer Service is not bad it’s just not there at all. You are on your own.
