Three night stay and the elevator was out of order for about half. Bad knee and third floor is not good. Also there was a lack of parking on Saturday night. People were forced to park off property. Breakfast was excellent, staff was helpful, coffee machines were great.

The property is older and could use some renovation, but my room was clean. Issue we noted was a large space under the door which would allow bugs and even a small rodent to get in. We rolled up a towel and put along the bottom of the door that night. In the morning, I saw one bug crawling across the floor as I was getting dressed. Our bed was very comfortable and I am hard to please with beds when I’m traveling the lamp on my side of the bed did not work, but we swapped it out with the lamp on the desk so that was an easy fix but the management should have done that already. The room itself was very musty smelling and the carpet was wet in front of refrigerator. Even with the air conditioning on the humidity in the room was pretty high. It was pretty much a typical room of an older hotel that needs renovation. You kinda get what you pay for.

People were using the hotel to host parties, and the staff did nothing to keep noise down. There were literally people in thongs dancing in the parking lot with a boombox. Also an old 5th wheel trailer permanently parked in the back.

I had to stand outside waiting to be checked in, we arrived at 11:30pm and I stayed outside ringing the doorbell for almost 10 min. I was tired and ready to cancel my reservation. Rooms were not clean, sheets and towels had markings. Bed had a piece of dirty“Kleenex” and it was very unpleasant.

I could not even finish the night here and decided to check out only a couple hours after getting there. I did not feel safe, the room was not very clean, the shower had shampoo and lotion only inside of it, there were stains on most furniture. I will never come here again.

When i checked into the room, all pillow cases where dirty. THey smelled like sweat and body order. The maids did not change them out. The bed sheets where not changed as well as they were wrinkled as if someone already slept in them prior to us checking in. When I told the front desk about the pillow cases they said the maid service was busy cleaning other rooms and that they would get to it after they were done. I'm sorry but i should have been given a clean room and front desk should have made sure of that instead of having me wait several hours. Total disrespect and lack of customer service. At this point i should have left the hotel but some how there was no way i would get my money back so we just stayed. Also upon taking a shower, the previous guest had left a used soap with hair on it. The maid service at this hotel sucks. I'm never staying at this hotel ever again!!!!

My minimum expectation is basic cleanliness. Having a hand towel hung with a spot of blood on it and a dirty used bath towel left hung on the bathroom door does not give a guest an overall sense of basic clean. We passed on Breakfast based on the condition of our room. This was a 6 hour stay. We needed to sleep, eat, and get to an event in San Marcos. For $110 literally I just wanted clean. I stepped it up from the cheapest option available hoping to increase my odds of just clean. Unfortunate experience for us. We will need a place to stay at least one weekend per month for the next few years and this property isn’t it.

My stay was pleasant, besides for one major turn-off: There was an odd musty smell in the room that might have come from the air conditioning unit, and the odor became more pungent when you run the A/C. On the bright side, You're not far from downtown San Marcos and other activities around town.

The check in person was not friendly or welcoming and charged a $100 deposit not mentioned in the booking info but that’s often standard. The room was literally 90° when we got there and the AC took several hours to cool the room down enough to sleep. Not a good experience.

We got in late in our room Friday night. When we walked in the first thing my husband did was check to make sure the door could securely be locked. However, the top chain lock did not securely lock. If you shook the door in the slightest it would undo itself. We called the front desk about it, they said to call back in 15 minutes. Mind you, this was around midnight, what was going on around then? Anyways, we obviously weren’t going to stay. So we while we waited the 15 mins to see if they were going to put us in another room. We were calling around for other hotels. After 30 minutes of this, there was no accommodation from them. We ended up checking out and staying at another hotel. We called the next day and there was no refund or accommodation. This is terrible service, because we didn’t stay in the room due to poor safety. Save your money and go somewhere else.

I checked in late the staff had no problem with it easy check in room was clean on arrival I did sleep to late to try breakfast but they do serve breakfast the only issue we had with the room was the shower current fell but they fixed it the same hour I would stay here again 10/10 good and nice staff nice room and quiet environment all around

Very nice lobby and room. The outside didn’t seem nice and very loud but couldn’t hear the noise in the room. Room was large. Wish there were restaurants walking distance from hotel ( through sidewalk system).

Clean, comfortable, cold A/C, convenient location to Tx St campus and good price. The only issue that I had was the TV was tiny. Like a 19" or 24" screen.

My stay was pleasant, besides for one major turn-off: There was an odd musty smell in the room that might have come from the air conditioning unit, and the odor became more pungent when you run the A/C. On the bright side, You're not far from downtown San Marcos and other activities around town.

When we showed up the hotel did not look like it did in the pictures. The bathroom was dirty. People are hanging out in the parking lot and we did not feel safe. We did not sleep there. On our way home now three hours away for safety reasons.

Not bad, what you’d expect in this price range. It was comfortable, AC worked, coffee maker worked, TV and remote worked, it was quiet. Very convenient to Texas State. Breakfast so-so.

Second weekend in a row to stay here. Staff so friendly, easy to interact with, gave us the same room. Felt like coming home. Bkft was as expected for a motel. Sausage patties Scrambled eggs. Waffle. Yogurt. Etc.

Not great. The towels are garbage and should have been replaced decades ago - much like everything in this place. Tub was scary and the bathroom door is damaged. The main deadbolt doesn\'t work nor did the door lock to the adjoining room. That wasn\'t our room either. The breakfast in the mornings is terrible. The eggs were very undercooked and the poor girl working by herself was overwhelmed. The only redeeming food were the waffles BUT, there is one iron and everyone was trying to get theirs. It took us nearly 30 minutes to get any. We had to "check out" to check back into our room to extend a day. Its was very odd. Broken down cars and other loitering that shows it\'s not a safe area.

The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The aerator was missing on the sink so water sprayed when turned on. The waffle machine was great but hated the coffee. It was coffee colored water.. instant obviously.

Everyday was good. Their continental Breakfast it’s ok. The room has shampoo, conditioner and lotion. Which is a great thing for those who don’t have their own toiletrits.

Do not recommend. Stains on the comforter. Hair from previous guests all over. Horrible smell. Asked for a different room. Wasn't much better. The a/c not functioning properly and absolutely disgusting! Did not stay and got a different hotel. Staff not concerned about the issues.

This place would be great for just a cheap overnight stay. However, we were in town for a baseball tournament and it wasn’t pleasant at all. - First impression is there’s no AC on in the room upon arrival, so it was at least 90* inside. - second impression was the breakfast was never stocked. I had to ask daily for more food, plates, waffle batter, etc. There was at least 3-5 staff members behind the desk, and the owner made it feel like it was a huge inconvenience that I was asking them for anything. - last, the staff takes all towels out of the room daily to wash them, then IF they’re brought back it’s hours later. We got back and wanted to shower after 2 morning games, and no towels. Asked the owner at the front, and he made it seem like it was no biggie and I needed to wait. I was adamant on a towel, so I was told to go to laundry room to ask for one from staff. Then on the next day, they took our towels and when we got home later that evening we realized they never brought them back. Again, I was questioned like they didn’t believe me, then had to follow staff to an empty room so they could get more towels. Overall a horrible experience and I 100% don’t recommend.
