This is a beautiful property in the middle of the mountains. It’s about 15 minutes drive from the interlaken town with amazing views of the Lake Thun and mountains (Jungfrau and Eiger) that everyone visits to see Interlaken. There is also a bus service to Interlaken but we didn’t use it. The staff is nice and the buffet breakfast is amazing with free cook to order omelettes and pancakes etc. The parking is plentiful. Great place

Had a great time with friends and children at this hotel. The pool and kids rooms are great. The breakfast was good but would have loved more home made or local options. We had booked a comfort appartement which was the good size for a family of 4. However, in the bedroom, we had 2 separate twin beds for adults (in each corner of the room), which I found a bit odd. Apart from that, the view was stunning!

Beautiful hotel, with very spacious rooms which are like mini apartments! Balconies have a stunning view of the mountains and lake. Great parking directly outside the hotel. Rooms have two levels, with kitchen and living space upstairs, and bathroom/bedroom downstairs. Breakfast was wonderful, great service from staff and picturesque view. Will definitely chose this hotel again.

this hotel is such a rip off with very poor hospitality. booked an apartment for 02 nights stay .. there was a small kitchenette in room ( about 1 sqm ).. to use that they asked to pay 40 CHF.. never heard of such a thing in a hotel & resort.. such a poor service, bad quality beds and pillows, house keeping was such a rip off.. daily cleaning to them means just making the bed with existing linens, replenishing coffee capsules. and not wipin off the sugar spilled on table, and not cleaning the used glasses.. the only good thing is the view of lake.. but the blacony has no flooring , no painting.. poorly maintained.. a big no to this hotel.. we were on a long 23 days trip and the 2 nights here was the worst of hospitality.. certainly not worth $450 a night

Hotel had wrong advertisement, gave me a room that was not what I booked for saying they are fully booked. Room is extremely dirty and had a spider size of the palm of adult hand. Bed had hair and black dust. Room does not have air conditioning. Avoid at all cost

The most attractive thing about this hotel is the view...nothing beats looking out to Thunersee from your balcony and sometimes spotting Jungfrau. The room cleaning service was excellent. However, there are things I wished I knew before I booked the hotel: 1. Although on first look the Family room we booked came with kitchenette and it was said to be well-equipped, I didn't notice the small prints and was surprised on arrival to find that you will need to pay an additional 40 CHF to UNLOCK the cabinets containing all the cutlery and cooking utensils. There is only the hotel restaurant, there are otherwise no other dining options in walkable distance. You need to drive to Interlaken city centre for other options 2. The hotel is not that easily accessible. Even with a car, it is a 17 mins drive on winding hill roads. After a few drives it became more familiar and easier, but I can only imagine how a pain-in-the-ass it is if you do not drive and rely on the not-so-frequent public buses. On Google Map it does not seem that far from Interlaken city centre, but there is only one road in-and-out of Beatenburg as it is on the hill.

Beliggenhed og udsigt uovertruffen. Hotellet er lidt slidt og trænger til ‘en opfriskning’. Dyrt ift. stand, men udsigten koster selvfølgelig en del. Vi måtte skifte værelse kl. 22:30 pga. kloaklugt på værelset. Ingen hjælp til at slæbe kufferter og bagage over i anden - dog sammenhængende bygning. Værelseskiftet var til samme kategori, men med ringere udsigt. Ingen mulighed for opgradering eller dekort på prisen for besværet, hvilket bør være muligt på et relativt dyrt ophold.

The hotel was clean and the workers were okay we did arrive and have a younger woman who wasn’t very friendly but besides her the other workers were nice, however the beds are extremely uncomfortable and the pillows are extremely flat! It also was an inconvenience having two twin beds pushed together to make one bed especially all the money we spent. The view was spectacular free breakfast was very delicious and free parking was a major perk!

The shower head was broken , even if it was reported nothing was fixed, the sink was clogged n the house keeping did not refill the coffee pods … they left used cups … with the amount of money we pay, they should do a better job Although , breakfast was good n staff was great 😊

First visit to Switzerland. Absolutely fantastic. Couldn’t fault anything. Stayed in the duplex style room, amazing view overlooking the lake and surrounding mountains. A very peaceful location being so high up. Definitely wouldn’t hesitate in visiting again and staying here. Breakfast was included, good selection, including tea for us brits. 10/10 👍 (one negative, no tv in the upper room of the duplexes)

A wonderful hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, and an amazing location overlooking the lake. The only drawback was no AC in the rooms. Which is fairly standard in this part of the world. They don’t deliver room service to your room but will put an order on trays at the restaurant you can carry yourself to your room.

I have pre booked this hotel in May excited to stay with you completely disappointed with this Let me tell you why 1. 48 hours not even a single time does the house keeping nor the reception picked up the call , we have to walk from bottom 3 to 6 every time we need something even just for the towels. Even then they told me take the towels and go when I asked them why aren’t you picking up the call they said we are busy ? Is this for what I’ve paid 380$ per night ? Is this how they should talk ? Not even once did they picked up the call 2. Look at the attached images - the entrance to the right there is a water can when I was about to drink the water there is a fly in it when I tried to complaint the answer was horrendous os this why I’m paying 380$ per night Disappointed and Shocked to see a hotel brand like Dorint would do this We have just wasted 800$ on this

The hotel staff was not friendly. I did not realize there was breakfast included till check out when the staff told us. No one at check in told us and we ended up having to rent dishes for 40 francs to cook breakfast. The hotel is over 7 miles from Interlaken. No convienent grocery stores near by. Staff was rude to ask for ice. Not a welcoming place. We had to ask to have our room cleaned when everyone else had their's done without asking. We did enjoy the sauna in the hotel. I would not stay here again.

The hotel is decent, but honestly not worth the price as it is located far away, about a 25-minute drive on a narrow, mountainous road from the bustling city of Interlaken. It doesn't feel like a 5-star hotel. The breakfast was good, but it was the exact same items every day. The staff were okay, but not very professional in providing great customer service. Perhaps this was due to their English, but their expressions were okay. One day, during breakfast, it became overcrowded and the staff started to lose patience with the guests. This was not good. The Dorint in Beatenberg offers fantastic view of Lake Thun, atop a hilly mountain, surrounded by splendid trees and silence. The lake view rooms are spectacular. Breakfast is long - till 11am, allowing you to take all your time to have a fantastic spread of food before you start your adventure. The rooms are clean, each having a balcony. One thing to keep in mind is that it's not walkable to any place; you have to take the Bus 101 from Interlaken West to get here, and vice versa; it takes around 30 minutes in bus to reach Dorint from Interlaken West station. The bus leaves every hour from Dorint to go to Interlaken. Also, most people are not aware of a fantastic cable car system which takes you down to the bus route; the cable car is a few minutes walk from the hotel. The cable car also takes you UP to a very high point, from where you can see pretty much all of Alps -its an amazing hidden treasure that Dorint provides which most people are probably not aware about! Overall, this is fantastic haven nestled amongst beautiful nature.

The property has beautiful views but it is secluded and not much around it. The rooms are spacious and clean. I don’t mind that it was secluded but if you want to be around more restaurants and shops then it’s not the place for you.

the hotel is nice and clean, it is located up in the mountain overviewing the lake. we got the duplex on two floors apartment for the 4 of us. the size of the apartment is ok. breakfast was very good with a lot of variety of choices, you can even ask for more choices that are not on the buffet. I personally prefer to Stay in the city (Interlaken) for future trips and I would find a hotel closer to the lake for better view and for the fact that the drive up and down to the hotel was Not EASY, it will take about half an hour drive in a narrow and dangerous road, all activities are in the city. it snowed suddenly on us and the drive to get down was very dangerous, they do not clean the roads fast enough and we almost missed our flight. my daughter decided to come with us last moment and they charged a lot for an extra fourth person, about 250 dollars more for 3 days.

From a convenience perspective, this hotel ranks low as it is 12 kms uphill drive from the main Interlaken town but the views make up for it. Stunning views of Lake Thun against the mountain range takes your breath away!!

Wir waren sehr überrascht, als wir bei der Ankunft, ca. 15 Uhr hören mussten, dass wir im Hotel selber kein Platz hätten um das Abendessen einzunehmen. Man empfahl uns nach Interlacken zu fahren. Zum Glück hatte es ein kleineres Hotel ganz in der Nähe, wo wir sehr gut gegessen haben. Der Wellnessbereich ist zwar nicht so gross aber dafür sehr gut.

This property was wonderful! We loved staying in the mountains and the amazing view it provided. The bar was small but sufficient and perfectly cozy for the middle of March. This breakfast was the best we had during our 10 day trip to Switzerland. Convenient bus stop 200 ft from the hotel which they give you a card to use to travel down to Interlaken. I will definiteky be staying here again if I make it back to Switzerland. ONLY con- the pillows left some to be desired, but beds were comfortable and rooms had lots of space for the 3 of us! Thank you!

We really liked our stay at the hotel. Clean, excellent breakfast. Expensive but very tasty dinner. The location is a bit far and lengthens travel times, but the breathtaking scenery makes up for it Two things to improve: 1. Better quality pillows. 2. It is not clear why you have to pay extra for kitchen equipment. I recommend the hotel to families. Very functional.
