SpringHill Suites by Marriott Jacksonville North I-95 Area

We will not stay here again. We checked in around 7 pm and the internet was down the entire night. We couldn’t use our phones inside the hotel and the TV wouldn’t work without internet. Then the next day the city came by and closed the pool. This was not communicated to any guests ahead of time. We asked to leave for the night to find another hotel and the front desk told us we had to call Hotels.com. Hotels.com tried to get ahold of a manager for three days to approve the refund and could not. It feels like management completely ignored our request. We had three kids and make reservations based on pools, and in this case the pool wasn’t an option.

Basic Spring Hill suites. Lots of local eateries within walking distance. Hotel is under construction so kind of a mess but not in a bad way. Staff were friendly.

Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Located 5 mins from airport, but no shuttle from airport to hotel.

Wasn’t mentioned when booking or checking in that the pool was closed. Very disappointed in Hotels.com and the desk for not mentioning it.

There was a remodeling ( carpet ) but is looking beautiful. Very quiet. Clean, and good service.

Excellent stay for the price. Plenty to do in the area. The only issue was the fitness facility. The treadmills did not work, and the ceiling was torn out and leaking.

Our stay was 2 nights. Day before Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving day, checking out n Black Friday. The staff was very courteous when we checked in that evening. We were gone a 1st floor room which is great when you have kids (13, 10, and 4 year old). First night was good, the room was just what we needed. It was 2 queen beds and a pull out sofa. Breakfast was good. The had a bagels, cereal, milk, coffee, juice, eggs, bacon, muffins, potatoes, waffle maker, tea and fruit. Front desk was friendly when we asked for 2 extra towels due to being 5 of us and only 3 towels on the room (123). I did use their gym. They had treadmill and weights and overall crank area. It was a little warm on the gym despite the thermostat reading 68. Check out was smooth and easy. Oxana was friendly, greeted you with a smile and the way she helped an older guest who seemed lost showed what a great staff meme we she is. I would definitely book again.

My stay here was great! My flight got canceled at the airport and I was able to easily book a room. Room was clean and ready for me immediately. There’s an airport shuttle to and from the airport which is super convenient!

The motel did not an airport shuttle. Changed hotel the second night. Hotel staff did not offer to assist in booking shuttle service, had to arrange my own ground transportation. Will not stay there again.

One of the main reasons I booked here was bc they had a pool, the first day they told us the pool was messed up, the next morning they said it wasn’t opened but later that afternoon when we got back a different worker said it was good to go and didn’t close until 10pm so we enjoyed the pool for a bit, went for a bite to eat and came back to get back in the pool only to find it closed with a different worker refusing us entry around 8pm. Other than that it was a pleasant stay but beds are definitely a little firmer than my liking but overall nice place to stay.

Do not stay here, period. Dirty beyond any place I’ve ever stayed. Nothing cleaned, sheets had crumbs on them. Mold and mildew all over the bathroom with peeling ceilings. I always stay at Marriott properties, but I’ll make sure to never stay here again. The only positive was the front desk staff member was kind upon our late arrival and offered extra water and snacks.

There was a roach in our room 219 hair in the bathroom when we arrived and sunflower seeds under the edge of the bed not to mention all the food wrappers and a piece of clothing in the pull out bed and when we told the manager he said the roach was understandable but clothing and food wrappers were unacceptable and said there was no way to reimburse me anything because I booked on here

When i arrived to the hotel it was very dark. The light in the lobby were off and i didnt know if it was even open to check in. Got checked in and was hit with a surprise of a deposit and needing a credit card on file for damages however when i walked in my room the floor in the bathroom was cracked and the light switches was not working. My sheets had stain in them and the counter was burnt as well. There wasn't a ice chest and the fridge was not working properly. The iron leaked on my clothes every time i used it good thing it was hot outside.One last thing but certainly not least i saw bugs. I saw multiple big ants and a roach.

NO NO NO. Do not stay here! They are under renovations - which should be disclosed. But unsure why the carpet is so dirty and not vacuumed. We pulled back our sheets to climb in bed and the sheets were stained nasty! I had to go back down to the front desk, they gave me a different room, had to pack everything up and move to another room. Boooo. The shower felt dirty. My daughter wore her sandals in the shower because she didn’t want her feet touching the shower. Gross. I have pictures and a video of it all in case Expedia or the hotel would like to further see what is going on there.

Had a horrible night of sleep. You can hear EVERYTHING from your neighbors who was talking at a normal volume. Walls are paper thin. Beds creaked when we got on them. Will never return to this old hotel. Customer service was great!

Nice big room for the money. Convenient to the highway. Breakfast was ok, thin walls, could hear neighbors to well, AC was very loud.

The hotel had a big enough room, but it had a musty odor to it. The beds appeared to be broken from the base. You can hear your neighbors talking through the walls.

Telephone did not work in the room and not the best wifi service

Staying for a night - hotel looks good. There is only 1 tv which is weirdly placed between sitting area and beds. Neither could use it in a straight line view. But otherwise ok

It was very humid in our room, even with the a/c set on 68 degrees, room 118. We are skinny and our room was still hot at 70 degrees. The linens and mattress looked new. The bathroom looked like it was ready for a remodel. The art was all very different and did not look like it went together. The refrigerator did not get very cold. The breakfast quiche was very good. The turkey sausage was garbage worthy. The coffee was good and I liked the added touch of organic sugar.

Our only complaint was that the walls are paper thin. Our neighbor was on the phone next door and it felt like he was in the room with us. Made it very difficult to sleep. Breakfast was good and the staff were very nice.

The room was in excellent condition. Breakfast was great. But the lights above the bed did not work and when we finally had figured it out the light came back on when i came back from the BR.Then the fire alarm lights were blinking back to back. And then the mattress was the worse ever. Hard as a rock and you feel like you sleeping down hill at the head of the mattress.

I visited Jacksonville, FL, for a conference at the Mayo Clinic. It was my best stay in Jacksonville! I enjoyed every bit of my stay, whether it was greeting at the reception, room cleanliness, or breakfast! Also, the hotel staff is fantastic! I enjoyed my stay.

The young lady that was at the front desk when I checked in was super rude charge my card twice didn’t even apologize. Need to learn how to be in the customer service area.

I can honestly say this is a downgrade from my previous experiences with SpringHill suites and SpringHill suites by Marriott. As a bonvoy member, I would expect to be greeted a little more pleasantly, given Wi-Fi information, giving information about when the pool would be open versus when it's locked, so you can't use it. The younger women at the desk this evening were more interested in their cell phones and personal things going on than they were checking in guest and being friendly. When I ask about when the pool would open up, I was told "sometime" & I then asked are we just guessing?! Like is there not a specific time? It's open and closed? I was told "aybe sometime between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. but that just depends on when they get here cause I don't know nothing about pool hours." I specifically had instructions on my account and called and verified those instructions with the property that stated I'm a light sleeper and so I like to have a room that is not next to the elevator or vending area. Guess what?! They were going to put me in a room exactly the opposite of what I asked for and right next to the elevator and vending ice machine. So I had to ask, did you read the notes on my account and she told me no. We can't see any notes on your account. When I asked for an itemized receipt because I booked and have to turn this in for work, I was told that I'd have to go download it myself at a later date since I booked with Expedia. This is not it. The room and staff was great. I have a complaint about the rate. The receipt I received in a email was for $386. But I was billed for $430 I need to know why.

I didn't like having been pre assigned a back room because i used a third party payment company when i came in so early there were no other guest on premises. No issues about the room just the service. First come first serve don't count when second or third party pay.

You will have to watch they took the price of my room twice and then they say it will take 7 to 10 business days for return of the second charge. For this reason I give them a poor review.

Great customer service. Everyone was very professional and nice.

I was not happen as I had selected a better hotel and was a victim of the “bait and switch” from a newer place down the street. This hotel was not what I selected and we went to my choice and told there was no reservation. The hotel we stayed at was listed in the fine print. I was not happy. We checked in and the hotel was a little “tired .” Very clean and amazing staff, everyone was friendly and helpful The gentleman host at breakfast was the best I have ever encountered. Upon checking out I told the desk clerk that I was very apprehensive about being assigned her hotel. Truthfully, I told her that I was pleasantly surprised. Housekeeping was thorough and very concerned about our needs…..the lights, remotes, no caffeinated coffee in the room I would recommend this hotel to others in a heartbeat based on the professional and courteous staff. Just a little worn out and smaller rooms Thank you for making our stay so comfortable. Betty Easterday .

Friendly staff, easy check in. Very convenient location, safe. The pull out couch was only a twin trundle, only gave three towels, even when I grabbed more and they cleaned the room only left 3 towels with 5 guests in the room. The extra bedding for the trundle bed was not comfortable. Breakfast, they took away the waffle maker so all the was offered was a few bagels, scrambled eggs and sausages and two cereals. Kids were bummed.

The staff was very friendly and answered all questions I had. Breakfast was AWESOME

It was a Christmas Eve and the breakfast were taken 10 minutes before the time the lady was so rude when I asked to put back the breakfast.

Great staff. I booked two queens, but all were gone. The clerk gave us a king without extra cost. Breakfast is fantastic! There are restaurants in walking distance.

Always a pleasant experience at SpringHill Suites… staff always friendly too. Great for a good nights sleep while traveling and the breakfast though standard is always good. Thank you for being reasonable and still offering these amenities.

Clean rooms, hallways and lobby. Breakfast was very good. We would definitely stay here again.

As always the hotel was nice and the room was clean, breakfast was probably not the best compared to other Springhill hotels I’ve stayed at but not a deal breaker as far booking another stay.
