Surprised at this Holiday Inn. It was just terrible in every conceivable way. From the very beginning, there were no parking spots in the lot. There were large trucks, parked in the back lot, taking up eight or nine spots, each, and the person at the front desk was not at all concerned and said to park across the street at the Home Depot. There were people randomly hanging out in the parking lot all night long just loitering and smoking. The inside of the lobby actually had a very rancid smell to it, which I couldn’t figure out because the hotel itself is not that old. We initially selected this hotel because of the indoor pool, but it was shut down the entire time we were there. The room was gross. There was hair all over the place. The sheets were stained. I couldn’t believe that this was actually a Holiday Inn. I would not recommend this to anyone, especially at the cost.

Location is convenient with restaurants and gas stations nearby. Room was pleasant (no bad smells, bathroom was fine). Several odd things, tho. The entry hall was full of 6'-high massive piles of supplies (toilet paper, etc.) and no effort was made to eliminate them over the course of the 4 days we were there. Vending machines had been removed from every floor with just the electrical connections sticking out from the wall. Why and why would they leave it like that? Needed clean clothes, so put clothes and detergent in the sole machine and it charged my credit card, but there was no water. Was told the engineer would look at it the next morning at 8 a.m. Didn't hear anything until I called at 10:30 a.m. He couldn't fix it (or speak English), so had to pull the detergent-soaked clothes out of the machine and head to a laundromat. Pool was over-run with kids so we didn't end up trying it. Yelling kids running up and down the hallway a few nights, but that's the parents' faults, not the hotel.

The hotel lobby and restaurant and bathrooms were all very clean. My room was nice and clean and there was no chemical smell or any kind of odors where the hotel is lacking is the pool. The pool itself was filled with random clumps of hair and other unknown floating bits. The chairs in the pool area were broken and there is definitely a ring of green algae around the top of the pool itself. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. But definitely a thumbs down on the pool. Yuck.

Staff and property were great. The pool was out of service for our stay so that wasn’t great. The location was excellent for what we were doing in Connecticut. It is walkable to some dining places and they have snacks and beverages on hand for purchase. Very convenient.

Elevator was broken and we got booked on 3rd floor. No air conditioning in stairwell. Air conditioner wasn't working in room and was leaking on the floor. Iron was leaking all over clothes. Had to move rooms - that room had a loose toilet seat. No one was at the front desk anytime we went there - check, problem with room, check out, when we called with issues for the room.

We booked this room last minute as the hotel we initially booked nearby had no hot water and we only found out when we arrived. The front desk staff was very friendly and got us checked in quickly. Our room was clean, comfortable, and perfect for our quick stay, as we were in town for a relative’s housewarming. Would definitely stay there again if in the area as there was an indoor heated pool but we didn’t have time to take a dip!

Told about $100 deposit last minute, told later that it would come right back to the account. It’s been a week and we are being told 30 days now??? Never been asked for a hotel deposit in our history of travels. (paid for room in advance) The Sunday morning staff in restaurant area were extremely humble and kind/deserve acknowledgment, a bonus and an opportunity to teach other staff about hospitality. Room cleaning staff were very kind/curious as well. Ice maker on our floor was busted. This was an Expedia order so when I asked for a receipt confirming no additional charges upon check out I was told I can’t get one/refer to my Expedia receipt. We barely slept due to a very loud crew on the 3rd floor. This was our son’s 13th bday get away. Counter staff were professional but cold.

The first issue was entering the room as my key card did not work. The supervisor on shift saw this on the secuirty camera and was nice to come up and assist me. He gave me a new key card, which he had issues opening the door with. He advised me that they had just changed the batteries in the door locks. Didn't seem like it. The two days that I was there, I had a hard time entering my room every single time. I had to try the key card over and over and over again and pray that it worked. The gym and pool was off limits as my card never worked there. Similar issue with the TV remote. What made it work was taking out the batteries and putting them back in again. Until it stopped working altogether. I used my computer for the rest of the time I was there to watch tv. I didn't even bother complaining about the remote seeing that they didn't care about the door he clearly saw had issues. The issue didn't end there. The walls seemed so paper-thin as I had to endure from the minute I checked in till late into the night blasting of music and television. This I did complain about, but still nothing was done. The next morning I woke up to a couple screaming. There were some cleanliness issues. First towel I unfolded had pubic hair, and my blanket had tears all over the bottom side of it so I was forced to use the sheet underto avoid the snags. I wish I didn't have these issues as the room gad an updated look and was spacious.

Room had high ceiling, comfy beds, good A/C & heat. TV worked. Parking on both front and back of building, with side entrances for easy access. Complimentary breakfast was made to order. Would recommend. Would happily stay here again.

The bed was great. Overall clean. The tub needs replaced - water took forever to drain. There’s obviously paint touch ups everywhere since the color/sheen don’t match. Including on the ceiling which was concerning since I stayed on a lower level. Noise from the parking lot, hallway and adjacent rooms could be clearly heard. So many conversations to be a part of. I didn’t realize until I was in bed and too exhausted to request a room change, but there was no blackout curtain in my room, only the shear. And that had a tear in it. The site light in the parking lot was basically a lantern directed into the room and at the head of both beds. I had to make a wall of pillows to block the light from shining on my face so I could sleep. The people were nice, but I won’t be staying here again.

The room was okay, and for the most part it was clean. The carpet needs cleaning or replacing. Bathroom needs a renovation. It was clean, but the wallpaper was stained and the bathtub was kind of u shaped at the bottom, so it was slippery. Also the thermostat was not working, so the room was too hot.

Hotel upgraded me to a room with a single bed as opposed to the 2 I orginally needed, then proceeded to charge me for the tv that was already broken when we checked in. Tried contacting the manager 4 different times and every time was told he was busy and that id receive a call back, never did. I’ve emailed them and contacted the corporate number and nobody has made any attempt to reach out.

Our reservation was for one room with 2 double beds. When we arrived at about 8pm they sent us to a room with one king bed. We returned to the desk and were told that they had no other rooms and that our reservation was for a king - totally not true! They affected no help or assistance. We had had a long day but were unable to stay. They said that I would have to call the manager on Monday about a refund! Very disappointed. We ended up driving 2.5 hours home
Our reservation was for one room with 2 double beds. When we arrived at about 8pm they sent us to a room with one king bed. We returned to the desk and were told that they had no other rooms and that our reservation was for a king - totally not true! They affected no help or assistance. The housekeepers did an excellent job. Also, front desk staff was very warm snd hospitable. Breakfast was cooked to order and invluded fresh pineapple and blueberries. The location was peaceful, away from the city.

Everything went smoothly until the morning of check out. We came back to our room at about 9:30 and the housekeepers had already emptied half of our room throwing some of our things away. We asked multiple times if any of them in the hallway knew where the stuff went and no one had answers. Check out was not until 11. When we went to the front desk and complained around 10 am we were told they would look into it, they tell the staff not to do it until after check out and they’ll be retrained. Super not happy. I’ve never had this happen at a hotel before, thankful we didn’t leave anything worth a lot of value. Would not stay here again.

During my stay the staff wasn’t too friendly. We needed plates for our dinner so my boyfriend went down to the bar to ask for some. The bartender gave threw him 1 container instead of handing it to him. Moving forward they were having a hotel party down the hall; we were on the ground floor. They had their car parked outside of our window and we’re playing loud music. I complained to the staff but a few hours later they were back outside fighting. They then punched my room window waking up my six year old in tears. She was terrified. I complained again and nothing was done. It’s horrible how they charge so much money just to not do their job and assist the complaints other guests. I will not be returning to another Holiday Inn. Also I don’t think they change the bed sheets.

The hotel came under new management in the last year or so & I was really impressed with the staff & how accommodating they are, the quality & cleanliness of the place, as well as the reasonable rates. I didn’t want to leave!!

The stay was great. The staff was friendly and the property was clean. The environment was pleasant. The only problem, that wasn’t that big of a deal is how remote the property is. That being said, it did provide a quiet setting. Overall the stay was enjoyable.

Staff and property were great. The pool was out of service for our stay so that wasn’t great. The location was excellent for what we were doing in Connecticut. It is walkable to some dining places and they have snacks and beverages on hand for purchase. Very convenient.

I ordered 2 pieces of toast,cost of $4 cash, yesterday’s Bread reheated…Went in garbage.. Staff was nice but understaffed for sure. The "dinner" is awful. The flatbread pizza was really a microwaved pizza and bad at that. To get service, there was a wait even though it looked like business was slow. Room was nice and the front desk people were very pleasant as well. I would make dinner plans elsewhere and I\'m not sure why they try to even have dinner- it is very poor.

I have been visiting this hotel for about 8 years during holidays and vacations. My last stay on July 4th/July 5th was phenomenal. The staff was very polite. Kudos to the staff serving the breakfast! Nice and fast! Thank you! We will come back!

I spent the weekend at this hotel. On Friday I checked in with my sister and leading up to the stay, there was a problem with our payment. In an effort to try to rectify it, the stay was audibly frustrated and essentially unhelpful but we were able to check in. Once in the room we noticed, the tub was very worn and run down, the toilet paper dispenser fell off the wall and broke after one use and the there was a hole in the back of the vanity. When I checked into my own room on Saturday, my bathroom was also run down but we also immediately realized that the bathroom floor was unleveled and we were unable to close the bathroom door without force. Additionally, the worst part about the hotel was the parking or lack there of. There is very limited parking available in the front of the hotel and the parking in the back of the hotel closed off due to “bus” parking where they only allowed Peter Pan buses to park. Essentially making the front parking first come first serve and leaving other paying hotel guests to fend for themselves to park which is extremely outrageous especially since we were paying guests and hotel staff had not made it clear that parking would be an issue. Overall, I did not enjoy my stay and doubt I will ever return.

We went to the room and it wasn’t the correct reservation. We reserved a king and got 2 beds. Upon asking to be moved, we were told there were no more king rooms.
