Waterfront Scotland Beach Retreat w/ Private Beach

We spent our 21st anniversary celebration with family and friends at this beautiful house, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The location is prime, right in front of the Chesapeake Bay, with breathtaking scenery that we enjoyed all throughout our stay. We were lucky with gorgeous weather, which made the experience even better.The house itself is well kept, spacious, and had everything we needed for our 4-day stay. The kids had a blast with the kayaks, playing in the large backyard, and enjoying the lovely sandy beach. We also loved gathering around the fire outside in the evenings, where the kids made s’mores, and on our last night we were treated to a spectacular meteor shower. It was magical.This was the ideal getaway and a wonderful place to celebrate a special occasion. We left with full hearts and beautiful memories, and we look forward to returning in the future.

This property was a great fit for our family. It was clean, spacious and had a great kitchen for preparing our meals. We enjoyed eating our meals while looking out the clean windows at the bay. The outside shower connected to a bathroom was a plus for the grandchildren. We brought a kayak and used the 2 provided and played in the sand and water. I would highly recommend this place for a private family vacation.

This is a fabulous place to rent. The house, the yard, the private beach, and the views are all awesome - very nice looking and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and everything was clean. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the number of bathrooms stated in the description is incorrect. When my whole family is going on a vacation, we only rent houses with 4 full bathrooms. The description claims this rental has 4.5 bathrooms, but the reality is that it has 3.5 bathrooms plus an outside shower, (which wasn't usable - needs repaired). I spoke to the owner about the incorrect number of bathrooms in the description and he insisted that 3 full bathrooms, a powder room, and an outside shower equals 4.5 bathrooms according to the St. Mary's County inspector. To anyone that only needs 3.5 bathrooms, this is a wonderful place.The only other negative thing on our trip was we couldn't swim in the bay due to the abundance of jellyfish.

We rented this property to celebrate my daughter’s graduation from St Mary’s college. It had everything we needed and plenty of sleep options for our adult sized children. A weekend that our family will remember Findlay for years to come. This property exceeded our expectations.
