Trendy SoCo 1BR suite, king bed, fast WiFi w/ pool

Property was just as pictured , it was nice to be able to park right in front of the unit. The 3rd party check in process is a bit of a pain. But I rebooked anyways for another week since the location was convenient

The apartment was nice, and safe. I prefer to communicate directly with the host. The hosts used VRBO messaging but provided links to third party sites that would not cut and last from my phone. Extra required check in procedures are understandable but a pain.

This place was great but could improve a bit. The Good: Location was great for us. Only a few minutes from all the action The general updates were good. Bed was super comfy. It fit us (family of 4 + small dog) very well. Small kitchen perfect for quick meals Dog Park great! Communication with host was great! Very responsive and informative. The Bad: Tub was in bad shape. Functionally OK, but peeling with some mold and needs a resurfacing. Water gets really hot really fast (not bad, just a warning) The entire space felt "damp". An exhaust fan in the bath room or dehumidifier would solve that problem. Seating was uncomfortable. Very basic Ikea stuff. Gets the job done, but not ideal. Fold-out bed was uncomfortable (OK for kids sleeping sideways) Its a "downstairs" unit in that you're taking stairs to get to your space (not bad, but just a warning) Complex was covered in pollen, so you'll be tracking that into your car (just a warning based on season) Overall, it was a great space. Location and price made it all worth it!

We booked this apartment for its location as we love visiting Austin and love the South Congress area. Unfortunately, this place is not all it seemed to be from the listing. First of all the booking process is a pain, takes you to a confusing third party website and won't let you cancel once you are there. The pictures and description online do not do the actual apartment justice. The location is decent for Austin, but that's about it. The moment we walked in I could tell it wasn't very clean, the carpets are very, very worn and dirty looking, and not well vacuumed. They really need to invest in new sheets, they were "white" but off white with how many times they have been washed, and there was no top sheet. The bathtub/ shower had been painted at some point and it was peeling off and dirty, it also did not drain. There is a washer and dryer, but when I opened the washer it smelled so bad of mildew. It looks like at one time the apartment was nice, but now has had too much wear and tear and needs to be updated and cleaned better. Definitely not worth the price.
