Ashworth by the Sea

Had breakfast at their breakfast spot. The wait staff was very good but the short order cooking staff was way over their heads. Everyone in the restaurant waited much too long for mediocre food. Since it is a open kitchen you could see that orders were confused and sat a while before being delivered

The room next to us had people who were smoking. After calling multiple times they were still smoking. We couldn’t sit on our balcony and it made our entire room smell like an ash tray.

We booked 2 king bed rooms with pullout couches from Hotels.com. When we arrived they put us in small rooms with 1 queen bed. I immediately went to the desk and was informed that they didn't have those rooms. It felt like an episode from Seinfeld but it was not funny. They finally gave us 2 rooms with a king bed and told us it was the fault of the third party vendor. The pool pump broke the day we arrived which was the reason we went their for kids on vacation. It was fixed the next day but it was all very disappointing. We made the best of it but it was not what we hoped for. We ate at the restaurant one night and the bartender was the only 1 on as someone didn't show. He did everything and was super nice and apologetic but that is a management issue. If someone no shows, you come in or find other help. The staff were friendly and nice but I couldn't recommend this property to anyone.
