The room was a good size with usual tea/coffee facilities along woth bottled water and a mini fridge. Very clean except for a few cobwebs in the window. The beds were comfotable and the room was quiet. We had a drink in the garden at the back which was a very good size with plenty of shade. Free parking too. Will definitely book again.

A tad expensive as no breakfast of any sort is available. If like me you are an early to bed type then avoid Wednesday night as its Open Mic Night and can be noisy.

Really nice, friendly and helpful staff and food was good - we shared a brie, bacon and cranberry baguette with chips). Close to all the pubs and restaurants, lovely little town! Think for the price of the room that breakfast could have been included and later check out (was 10.30). We were in room 5 (twin) and the stairs to reach it were very steep and twisty. Would stay again if in the area.

The hotel had excellent staff, great food and good rooms. The main problem is the noise! All that is happening in their restobar can be heard from our room. And worse, the band played directly below us.

I know its an old Hotel.But I did not see it writen anywhere that it has no lift.We were on the second floor,and being 81 it was scary going up the second lot of stairs..Apart from that everything ws good.

Comfortable stay. Have been before and knew what to expect. Friendly and efficient staff; Good facilities in room and nice pub with lovely courtyard. On site parking a bonus. Only criticism is the slamming of doors - can they be on a lighter spring? No (full length) mirror in bedroom

Great atmosphere, lovely friendly staff in an historic building. Happy to be greeted just before 10pm when it's last orders in the pub. Interesting camber to the floor which rather threw me when I went to the loo in the dark....

Despite being extremely busy at the bar, the staff were welcoming and friendly. Our room at the top of the building was very clean and cosy with a good shower in the ensuite bathroom. There's onsite parking which was a big bonus. It was quite noisy outside in the street but it was a Saturday night in the centre of town so to be expected! Would definitely recommend.

Staff all excellent, there was an issue in the car park which needed sorting out which Evie did very efficiently and with good humour. I ate in the restaurant very good food , Evie and her colleagues attentive and pleasant throughout. Room was clean tidy and warm, I slept well. Thank you very much

Easy check in at the bar and then we’re shown to our room. Room was clean and nicely furnished with a well designed, modern en-suite. A really good base for our weekend celebrating a wedding in Southbourne.

We had a lovely lunch at the bar when we arrived. The lovely young man checked us in to the hotel and showed us to the family room. This was really nice as there were two rooms. One with a double bed and the other two singles. The bathroom was very spacious. So clean. Lots of towels. Also there was a kettle in each room. With plenty of items. Bottles of water in each room. Our stay was very comfortable. We were given keys for the front door as we were out late.

We enjoyed having a comfortable clean room. The room had some quirky lights and seating which added to its charm. We didn’t like the noise from the road as our room was in the front.

I think it was Caitlin who carried my case up to our room which was a huge suite and spotlessly clean. Plenty of complimentary teas,coffees and biscuits available in the room. A little later Cam helped my friends up to the room. Both Caitlin and Cam are a great asset to the hotel. Our lunch was excellent and we've thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I received a very friendly welcome. My room was very clean and bed very comfortable. The bedding was white cotton and the towels were large, soft and fluffy. Two free bottles of water were included, plus a kettle with ample coffee and tea sachets and two packets of biscuits. Only things missing in the room were a hairdryer and WiFi password details, which I obtained later from a staff member.

The hotel had it's own car park, unfortunately the room was too hot and the fan did not work. The pillows were too big and not very comfy. The bed was a bit small.

Our only complaint was that its summer and the duvet was at least 15 tog. We are not people to throw things on the floor so a massive duvet wedged between is was hot and uncomfortable .

Very comfortable room with a mini fridge and a huge king sized bed. The bathroom was beautiful with a bath and separate shower. The room was very clean. Fantastic parking in the hotel car park for guests. There was no mirror in the bedroom which made it difficult to blow dry hair. There was also an outside motor possibly arefrigerator outside the property which was quite noisy switching on and off throughout the night.

The staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The food was very good.Rooms were clean and well equipped, including a fan, which came in very handy Fridge ans tea & coffee provided. Great location aswell.Will definitely be back.

Great accommodation. We attended victorious festival in Portsmouth, was easy to reach the train station and the staff were great to get our room ready early so we could get to the festival asap!

We flew in from Australia and our flight was severely detached resulting in us arriving at 11pm. The two young ladies who met us on arrival had stayed back late to welcome us and were lovely, helping with bags and getting us settled in quickly.

Easy check in at the bar and then we’re shown to our room. Room was clean and nicely furnished with a well designed, modern en-suite. A really good base for our weekend celebrating a wedding in Southbourne.

The Crown is in the center of the lovely coastal town of Emsworth, within walking distance of multiple local shops, beautiful churches and buildings, excellent local restaurants, and natural sites including the shoreline and local forests. The pub at the Crown is superb, very cozy and friendly, and features regular live music.

Despite being extremely busy at the bar, the staff were welcoming and friendly. Our room at the top of the building was very clean and cosy with a good shower in the ensuite bathroom. There's onsite parking which was a big bonus. It was quite noisy outside in the street but it was a Saturday night in the centre of town so to be expected! Would definitely recommend.

We enjoyed having a comfortable clean room. The room had some quirky lights and seating which added to its charm. We didn’t like the noise from the road as our room was in the front.

Great accommodation. We attended victorious festival in Portsmouth, was easy to reach the train station and the staff were great to get our room ready early so we could get to the festival asap!

A tad expensive as no breakfast of any sort is available. If like me you are an early to bed type then avoid Wednesday night as its Open Mic Night and can be noisy.

Staff all excellent, there was an issue in the car park which needed sorting out which Evie did very efficiently and with good humour. I ate in the restaurant very good food , Evie and her colleagues attentive and pleasant throughout. Room was clean tidy and warm, I slept well. Thank you very much

Part of a weekend away, stayed one night here, the room was very comfortable, although the blind could be better as a lot of light came through, but this is the only small thing. We had our evening meal here aswell, which was very good.

We had a lovely lunch at the bar when we arrived. The lovely young man checked us in to the hotel and showed us to the family room. This was really nice as there were two rooms. One with a double bed and the other two singles. The bathroom was very spacious. So clean. Lots of towels. Also there was a kettle in each room. With plenty of items. Bottles of water in each room. Our stay was very comfortable. We were given keys for the front door as we were out late.

Stayed Thursday night through until Sunday was very noisy on Thursday evening. Which wouldn’t have been an issue if we were not getting an early start for the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Staff were fantastic great food and drink.

I arrived early ahead of friends but our room was all ready and i was given a very friendly welcome. I think it was Caitlin who carried my case up to our room which was a huge suite and spotlessly clean. Plenty of complimentary teas,coffees and biscuits available in the room. A little later Cam helped my friends up to the room. Both Caitlin and Cam are a great asset to the hotel. Our lunch was excellent and we've thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

What a great little Gem! Perfect for what we needed for our Goodwood Festival of Speed experience, and Evie was overly accommodating. The pub was busy every night so it was hard to get a table for dinner, but she presumed we would want dinner after our long day of traveling from the States and held one for us. The food was delicious, drinks tasty, and good nights sleep both nights we were there. Did I mention how great Evie was? - Your friends from Texas.

The rooms are clean and newly renovated, the actual pub itself is fantastic, excellent food and great atmosphere especially on music nights, off road parking is a big plus in Emsworth.

This is a gem of a site - very helpful staff (Lucy and Wes), nice rooms and amenities. if there was any negative - it's the noise from the bar (due to location, my room was adjacent), but this cannot really be avoided.
