27 Pinewood Hill is a detached cottage resting in the port town of Warrenpoint on Carlingford Lough in Northern Ireland. Warrenpoint rests by the River Newry and Carlingford Lough, surrounded by views of the Mourne Mountain Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which is home to Slieve Donard, Northern Ireland's highest mountain. Just a short drive away is the shopping haven of Newry, which has many high street shops and shopping centres, as well as bars, a gorgeous Catholic cathedral, a museum set inside the 16th century Bagenal's Castle, and some lovely parks and gardens to explore. A few minutes in the opposite direction is the pretty village of Rostrevor, with the Kilbroney river running through; from here you can park at Kilbroney Forest Park and take a zig-zag path up to Slieve Martin, where you can find Cloughmore Stone and embrace views of Warrenpoint and the surrounding lough and countryside. For an even more scenic option, the Mourne Coastal Route is home to the most breathtaking views in the country, leading from Belfast, through the County Down coastline and Mourne Mountains, to the city of Newry, or visit the nearby Tollymore Forest Park which offers great walking and cycling routes, and if you're a Game of Thrones fan, you'll remember it as the Haunted Forest where the White Walkers once marched through.
