From the moment we arrived, with the champagne reception to the time we said Good Bye, every day was special & unique. Our Thai meal, breakfast hamper, especially our Afternoon Tea was an experience we will remember forever We can’t stop talking about it. My massage was the best ever. The accommodation, the garden, the pets We can not fault anything, and although we were sad saying Goodbye we were also smiling, because we are already looking forward to returning in November

There’s a thoughtfulness and generosity in everything the hosts do to make their guests’ experience very special. In addition to the beautiful accommodation (we stayed in the East Wing) the grounds are gorgeous. The chickens in the eggporium are delightful and all the (very fortunate) animals add to the experience. Extra touches such as homemade cakes and fresh milk on our arrival to the complimentary basket of fresh eggs in the morning made us feel very welcome. Just a perfect country break!

The option to choose extras such as room service food options, the therapist and being able to feed the animals/pick eggs from the chickens. The jacuzzi bath and extra touches such as macarons/cakes when we arrived. Gil is very attentive to any requests and made our stay another very special one. We will definitely be returning in the future. Thanks again for everything, I wished we booked an extra night!

We stayed in the East Wing which has quirky rooms in a beautiful setting. Philip & Gil were charming hosts; very easy going and knowledgeable. The animals were an absolute delight to be around. Although we were a tad remote, Gil's suggestion of places to visit was very helpful. Loved that we had nibbles and milk provided on our first day together with tea, coffee etc. Woke the next morning to find a basket of delicious eggs laid by George's harem! The cleanliness & gardens are exceptional.

The East Wing was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. The gardens were really pretty and we loved the animals - especially Humphrey the dog! Hosts were excellent - lots of attention to detail and little extra bits which were very much appreciated. We will definitely be looking forward to visiting again!

Five star accommodation set in beautiful grounds.The hosts were extremely helpful and it was pleasant to have a log burner for the cold evenings when we ate in. East in options are available brought to the accommodation and we had an excellent Thai. If you like chickens, they have an amazing variety.

We have just returned from another stay at old Hall there is no place like it Gil and Phil are a fantastic couple and I can’t wait to go back there is nothing to dislike at old Hall Humphrey and Hattie the two little fox terriers are delightful the chickens the donkeys the goats and of course Finn he is so handsome Finn is a beautiful horse on arrival to when you leave nothing is too much trouble and the eggs delivered in the morning are absolutely delicious I stay in the east wing Beautiful

We knew Old Hall would be good having read a few reviews before booking but Gil and Philip have created a fabulous self catering experience. We stayed for 3 nights and loved every minute. The location is stunning, the accommodation is immaculate and the hosts are the best. They made us feel so welcome as did their delightful dogs Humphrey and Hattie. We are already planning a return visit and we shall make sure we stay for longer.

Arriving at Old Hall again I felt like I was coming home and instantly felt relaxed. We were met by a smiling Gil who had lit the log burner and laid out a wonderful hamper and some fizzy for us. The accommodation was warm and clean and I didn’t want to leave.

We stayed for 2 nights and had a wonderful time. The interior design of the East Wing makes you feel totally indulged, as well as providing absolutely everything you could need. We were lucky to get glorious weather so made the most of dining in the garden, listening to the water fountain, watching the sunset and hearing the donkey braying in the distance - always makes you smile. We did go out for a few trips but, to be honest, this place is so beautiful, it’s hard to leave.

We enjoyed every moment of our stay at Old Hall. The East Wing is full of character and is beautifully furnished. Every detail is perfect, from the individually made cakes on arrival to the thought that has gone into recommendations on places to eat and visit. We will definitely return and would highly recommend enjoying some luxury and relaxation in the Norfolk countryside.

We stayed in the East Wing and from the moment we arrived were made to feel so welcome. The property oozes character and charm, decorated and furnished to such a high standard. There is great attention to detail and the little extras like the fresh flowers, cakes on arrival, a glass of bubbly, decaffeinated drinks were such a wonderful bonus. I would really like to praise the afternoon tea experience. it wasn't just fabulous for us humans but for our large dog too. Thank you

EVERYTHING! Old Hall Country Breaks is just the most wonderful, luxurious and relaxing place. We arrived to a lovely welcome from Phil. A well appreciated glass of fizz for us adults and an apple juice for my son which was a lovely touch. We were included a lot with the animals which was very much appreciated. Our accommodation was fantastic (the east wing). Faultless is all I can say really.

Exceeded our expectations in every way, our hosts Gil and Philip were wonderful and made such a difference, all Gil's advice as to where to go to visit, eat, and even where to run in the morning were perfect. We have already book another 2 visits and cant wait to return.

A well appreciated glass of fizz for us adults and an apple juice for my son which was a lovely touch. We were included a lot with the animals which was very much appreciated. Our accommodation was fantastic (the east wing). Faultless is all I can say really.
EVERYTHING! Old Hall Country Breaks is just the most wonderful, luxurious and relaxing place. We arrived to a lovely welcome from Phil. We knew Old Hall would be good having read a few reviews before booking but Gil and Philip have created a fabulous self catering experience. We stayed for 3 nights and loved every minute. The location is stunning, the accommodation is immaculate and the hosts are the best. They made us feel so welcome as did their delightful dogs Humphrey and Hattie. We are already planning a return visit and we shall make sure we stay for longer.

Very comfortable accommodation, luxuriously appointed, and the best service we have ever received anywhere.Unobtrusive friendly service, in a beautiful setting.Would recommend this home to others, looking for a very special luxurious but personal stay.

We stayed in the East Wing which has quirky rooms in a beautiful setting. Philip & Gil were charming hosts; very easy going and knowledgeable. The animals were an absolute delight to be around. Although we were a tad remote, Gil's suggestion of places to visit was very helpful. Loved that we had nibbles and milk provided on our first day together with tea, coffee etc. Woke the next morning to find a basket of delicious eggs laid by George's harem! The cleanliness & gardens are exceptional.

We enjoyed every moment of our stay at Old Hall. The East Wing is full of character and is beautifully furnished. Every detail is perfect, from the individually made cakes on arrival to the thought that has gone into recommendations on places to eat and visit. We will definitely return and would highly recommend enjoying some luxury and relaxation in the Norfolk countryside.

From the moment we arrived, with the champagne reception to the time we said Good Bye, every day was special & unique. Our Thai meal, breakfast hamper, especially our Afternoon Tea was an experience we will remember forever We can’t stop talking about it. My massage was the best ever. The accommodation, the garden, the pets We can not fault anything, and although we were sad saying Goodbye we were also smiling, because we are already looking forward to returning in November

I didn't think it would have been possible to improve upon my previous stay, but Gil and Philip have raised the bar again. They have a talent for knowing what you need and want before you do! So many thoughtful gestures and surprises. The addition of their "room service" is an inspired touch and done with their usual first class standard. I am already planning my next visit.

Old Hall is a very special place combining the best of self catering with much of what you would find at a high end hotel. Phil and Gil have thought of everything and not only provided everything we needed but things we hadn’t even thought we needed (like a basket of food to feed their lovely animals, the most delicious eggs to wake up to and ice cream in the sun!) Afternoon tea was a particular highlight, the best we have ever experienced (and we have tried quite a few!)

The communication prior to the visit was excellent. Upon arrival we were greeted with a glass of bubbly. Our accommodation was perfect, and we also had a quick tour of the other stunning accommodation options. We pre-ordered a Thai meal for our first evening which arrived exactly as ordered and was very nice. It was fantastic to wake the following morning to a basket of freshly laid eggs from the beautiful assortment of pure-breed hens on site. Highly recommended for a short break - amazing!

We stayed in the East Wing and from the moment we arrived were made to feel so welcome. The property oozes character and charm, decorated and furnished to such a high standard. There is great attention to detail and the little extras like the fresh flowers, cakes on arrival, a glass of bubbly, decaffeinated drinks were such a wonderful bonus. I would really like to praise the afternoon tea experience. it wasn't just fabulous for us humans but for our large dog too. Thank you

Absolutely blissful. Gil & Phil were the perfect hosts and very knowledgeable of the area. We stayed in the East Wing for 3 nights which was stunning. On arrival we had booked Afternoon Tea with champagne, luckily we hadn’t booked an evening meal at a restaurant as there was so much to eat, the quality, couldn’t have been better. The accommodation was absolutely stunning, immaculately clean, luxurious, and beautifully designed with everything we could possibly need for a relaxing stay. What truly made our stay unforgettable, though, was the incredible warmth of both Phil and Gil. From the moment we arrived, they went completely above and beyond to make us feel welcome, offering unmatched hospitality and thoughtful personal touches. We could not have asked for a more perfect experience and will definitely be back.

From the moment we arrived we had the most welcoming greeting from Philip and Gil. I adored our accommodation, from the tasteful decor to the total sense of ease and relaxation that the the whole experience delivers . Not forgetting all the wonderful animals , Donkeys, horse, hens and my favourite Pigmy goats, adorable. The main attraction is obviously Humphrey ,a wire haired fox terrier that wanders in a makes himself at home, just adorable. I can not wait to return .

Philip and Gil made our stay special they are the perfect hosts. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and just right for our needs. Afternoon tea was everything you could want and more. Also the Indian meal we had was delicious. It was a time to reset the batteries and feeding chicken goats and horses was such a treat . Can’t wait to revisit.

It’s the most beautiful and peaceful place to be,the host went above and beyond. Nothing was too much trouble,and they were wonderful with our children.The home cooked meals were such a treat. I only wished we had stayed longer.
