Nice clean house with a very well equipped kitchen. Great fireplace for the cold nights. The setting on the river is lovely and peaceful. The only complaint is having to supply your own firewood. I’ve stayed at other places where the wood for the fire is suppled.

Once again had a lovey time. House is perfect, clean, roomy, lovely big kitchen and good back yard for dogs fully fenced.Having the Mary River in the back yard is the highlight. So private. We will be back soon.

From the minute we arrived we were very impressed with the beautiful house, garden, the paddock and also the beautiful views. The deck is amazing and everything was exactly as advertised. The hosts were lovely and friendly, and sent really good correspondence re travelling and how to locate the house. Also gave us tips on where to go that was dog friendly. The owner was extremely helpful when we booked the information and smooth transactions with payments. The furnishings were beautiful olde world style and the gorgeous bedspreads were so suitable for the house. The tranquility was amazing and so relaxing. The river is really lovely and the dogs had a great time running amok and they both had a swim. The fire pit was great and also the open fire in the house. The kitchen was beautiful and very well stocked.

We recently stayed at River Oaks , a beautifully appointed house with rolling green lawns flowing down to the Mary River. The house had everything we needed for cooking and relaxing, books and games for our grandson to play.The lush lawns were ideal for doggie and child play while the ability to access the river straight out the back with our stand up paddle boards was an absolute bonus.We explored the stunning Kenilworth area by day and then returned to our peaceful lodgings to relax in the evenings.The back lawn was a perfect spot for afternoon drinks and nibbles.I would definitely recommend River Oaks and hope to stay again sometime.

We had a spectacular 8 days at the property which felt like we were in a rainforest oasis that was so private and surrounded by luscious greenery and nature. We all swam in the river, fished, walked the property and interacted with the cows on the adjoining property. The kids played in the tree house while we sat on the veranda and were visited each night by 2 huge green tree frogs and could hear the possums in the trees. The location was close to the town where we went to the incredible Kenilworth Bakery and Dairy. The town has a great vibe. Down the road in the other direction is a quirky old style burger diner with lots of collectibles and amazing Pizzas it’s called Mrs Browns Diner. The host was available on a property next door if we needed and she was so wonderful. On our final day we got to explore her spectacular permaculture garden and we all learnt so much and got some samples to take home.

We really enjoyed staying at this lovely home. It was very well appointed and beautifully presented. Staying right on the river was great for our adult children’s dog. We all enjoyed the swimming!!! Kenilworth was so close too!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were very comfortable. Appreciated the large gated verandah that caught the breeze off the river. Kitchen had everything we needed, including a teapot. The river access was perfect for us and our dogs, we could enjoy a swim in the river then relax on the verandah. Property manager was very helpful and approachable. Kenilworth was only a few minutes away. A great, relaxing getaway.

Such a relaxing spot! We loved going down to h to river to swim and kayak. The outdoor shower was great. Our dog loved it and the care taker was very attentive.

A lovely affordable older style accommodation. Very quiet, with a nice rural outlook. The Mary River was a quick stroll away for a swim. Just a few minutes drive into town. The care taker met us to walk us through the house and to remind us to close the fly screens so the micro bats didn't get in the house at night time. There were 2 already in the house that evening but were easy to remove. Not complaining, just some folks might not handle that situation. The oven didn't work, and we were advised of this. Coped with the stove top for cooking. A requirement of rental was making sure the dishwasher was emptied before we left. It would be more convenient to be able to stack all breaky dishes etc and turn on as you leave, especially with a large group all trying to be out by 10am. Overall a lovely place to stay and we would gladly rent there again.

We stayed for 4 nights and had a most relaxing break. The house was spotless and had everything we needed including games, dvd's and books for entertainment. Situated about 3km from Kenilworth so you need a car to get around. Elin (host) was very helpful and informative. All in all a lovely time had by all including our dogs.

We had an amazing stay. The place had everything & more. The house was very clean & spacious. Having the Mary River in the backyard was the highlight. Caretakers Sue & Greg were very helpful and friendly. Owners instructions were easy to follow & much appreciated. Looking forward to staying here again. Thanks.

I booked this property for my son & daughter & their families to stay in for the weekend as we were attending a family wedding at Kenilworth. They all loved the house & location close to the town. The kids loved the treehouse & wanted to stay longer. The property was clean & comfortable & in a great position. Many thanks to the owner for all your assistance.

Beautiful farmhouse property amazing green pastures from the back verandah down to the river. The house had a cozy family vibe, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you need . A ten minutes drive in to the small village of Kenilworth. The only negative was no WI-Fi , important for us as we were there for a wedding ,and needed communication. Had to drive into Kenilworth for reception

Lovely property though I had hoped for something a little more rural didn't realise the property backed onto a very busy road neither that there would be neighbours just a stone throws away. House and amenities were great! Lovely fire pit and verandah.

This home had a warm family friendly vibe. Very well equipped and lots of space and beautiful setting, quiet and peaceful. It had a lovely library space and DVDs galore. I would highly recommend this location and so easy to access with lots of help if needed.

Very quiet, large home near everything that we wanted to explore including the township, Imbil, Maleny, Eumundi and the beaches. We also sent a day at Australia Zoo. Lucky enough that the area was green from the recent rains. Unfortunately we couldn't access the river at this time which in hindsight should have checked prior to booking. We did get to the river though the track near the police station in Kenilworth thanks to the guidance from the host. Will mention that the beds are a little too firm for our family but I really enjoyed using the kitchen for cooking our meals. It was a good place to take our little dog, she enjoyed it!

River Oaks is located in a great spot, far enough from the hustle and bustle of the Sunshine Coast and close enough to get to most visit worthy spots within 30-45 minutes (Eumundi- markets, Coolum- beach, Yandina - Fairhill nursery). For an interesting experience, we tried the taste box (to take home) from the Kenilworth cheese factory down the road. Elin welcomed and showed us around the property when we first arrived, and looked after us magnificently; many thanks, Elin! The main road at the front of the property is rather busy during the day, but while you enjoy the oversized back deck overlooking the green space and the view over the creek, you can easily ignore that and it’s like being in another space: tranquil and peaceful. A fan on the deck may be a worthwhile addition during the afternoons when it can be still and humid at times? The bar fridge and washing machine on the deck are a welcome surprise, and a great way to make use of the space. The barbecue can be a challenge due to its small grease trap underneath the cook plate, if previous guests did not bother to clean it out. The house is inviting with its country charm and furniture to match, but including all the modern amenities. The fridge is enormous – it can easily cater for a large family or group. The beds are super comfy, which is always a deal breaker to us; and the fact that there are 2 bathrooms is a huge plus. The large fenced yard is awesome for the dogs to roam around while we spend time on the deck; and outside the yard, the dogs also enjoyed doing zoomies in the green space to vent their energy. We can highly recommend and would gladly return to this accommodation again.

We had an amazing stay. The place had everything & more. The house was very clean & spacious. Having the Mary River in the backyard was the highlight. Very pretty location and cottage. Very comfortable and well equipped. Loved the combustion fire..very cosy and relaxing. Pretty views over the river and green farmland with roaming cows. Very friendly and welcoming host.

Our weekend stay was an absolute delight. Our dog loved playing by the river banks. While more designated walking areas would have been a nice addition, the overall experience was exceptional. The warm and friendly nature of the caretakers added another layer of joy to our stay. I highly recommend River Oaks to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat and a place where you and your furry friend can truly enjoy nature's beauty.

We had a spectacular 8 days at the property which felt like we were in a rainforest oasis that was so private and surrounded by luscious greenery and nature. We all swam in the river, fished, walked the property and interacted with the cows on the adjoining property. The kids played in the tree house while we sat on the veranda and were visited each night by 2 huge green tree frogs and could hear the possums in the trees. The location was close to the town where we went to the incredible Kenilworth Bakery and Dairy. The town has a great vibe. Down the road in the other direction is a quirky old style burger diner with lots of collectibles and amazing Pizzas it’s called Mrs Browns Diner. The host was available on a property next door if we needed and she was so wonderful. On our final day we got to explore her spectacular permaculture garden and we all learnt so much and got some samples to take home.

Although not as private as we expected, the home and property were lovely. The view from the veranda was amazing! Town is only a short drive. Easy check in and great hosts who are happy to drop in anything you need. Five adults and a furry friend were very comfortable. Thank you Elin!

Our 2nd time here. We've stayed many dog-friendly places and this is our favourite. The house is beautiful and so relaxing for us - it's very clean and has everything. The furkids have their own area outside for... you know what etc. and then a tremendous, big paddock to run in with us. There are caretakers next door, who are gorgeous, friendly people. We will be back next year, even though we live in Sydney.

We recently stayed at River Oaks , a beautifully appointed house with rolling green lawns flowing down to the Mary River. The house had everything we needed for cooking and relaxing, books and games for our grandson to play.The lush lawns were ideal for doggie and child play while the ability to access the river straight out the back with our stand up paddle boards was an absolute bonus.We explored the stunning Kenilworth area by day and then returned to our peaceful lodgings to relax in the evenings.The back lawn was a perfect spot for afternoon drinks and nibbles.I would definitely recommend River Oaks and hope to stay again sometime.

River Oaks is located in a great spot, far enough from the hustle and bustle of the Sunshine Coast and close enough to get to most visit worthy spots within 30-45 minutes (Eumundi- markets, Coolum- beach, Yandina - Fairhill nursery). For an interesting experience, we tried the taste box (to take home) from the Kenilworth cheese factory down the road. Elin welcomed and showed us around the property when we first arrived, and looked after us magnificently; many thanks, Elin! The main road at the front of the property is rather busy during the day, but while you enjoy the oversized back deck overlooking the green space and the view over the creek, you can easily ignore that and it’s like being in another space: tranquil and peaceful. A fan on the deck may be a worthwhile addition during the afternoons when it can be still and humid at times? The bar fridge and washing machine on the deck are a welcome surprise, and a great way to make use of the space. The barbecue can be a challenge due to its small grease trap underneath the cook plate, if previous guests did not bother to clean it out. The house is inviting with its country charm and furniture to match, but including all the modern amenities. The fridge is enormous – it can easily cater for a large family or group. The beds are super comfy, which is always a deal breaker to us; and the fact that there are 2 bathrooms is a huge plus. The large fenced yard is awesome for the dogs to roam around while we spend time on the deck; and outside the yard, the dogs also enjoyed doing zoomies in the green space to vent their energy. We can highly recommend and would gladly return to this accommodation again.

We stayed for 4 nights and had a most relaxing break. The house was spotless and had everything we needed including games, dvd's and books for entertainment. Situated about 3km from Kenilworth so you need a car to get around. Elin (host) was very helpful and informative. All in all a lovely time had by all including our dogs.

We really enjoyed staying at this lovely home. It was very well appointed and beautifully presented. Staying right on the river was great for our adult children’s dog. We all enjoyed the swimming!!! Kenilworth was so close too!!!

Lovely property though I had hoped for something a little more rural didn't realise the property backed onto a very busy road neither that there would be neighbours just a stone throws away. House and amenities were great! Lovely fire pit and verandah.

Very quiet, large home near everything that we wanted to explore including the township, Imbil, Maleny, Eumundi and the beaches. We also sent a day at Australia Zoo. Lucky enough that the area was green from the recent rains. Unfortunately we couldn't access the river at this time which in hindsight should have checked prior to booking. We did get to the river though the track near the police station in Kenilworth thanks to the guidance from the host. Will mention that the beds are a little too firm for our family but I really enjoyed using the kitchen for cooking our meals. It was a good place to take our little dog, she enjoyed it!

Nice clean house with a very well equipped kitchen. Great fireplace for the cold nights. The setting on the river is lovely and peaceful. The only complaint is having to supply your own firewood. I’ve stayed at other places where the wood for the fire is suppled.

Our second time here and another warm welcome from the caretakers. Made sure we had everything we needed. Did not matter that we had some rain while we were there, wonderful fireplace and lovely views. Short trip to town for great pizza, pies and of course, the cheese factory. Fresh produce from the markets. A fabulous holiday.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were very comfortable. Appreciated the large gated verandah that caught the breeze off the river. Kitchen had everything we needed, including a teapot. The river access was perfect for us and our dogs, we could enjoy a swim in the river then relax on the verandah. Property manager was very helpful and approachable. Kenilworth was only a few minutes away. A great, relaxing getaway.

Well and comfortably appointed. The house was clean and tidy. It was great having the space outside with a fire pit area and access to the Mary river. There was a well maintained mown path to the river, and the grassed area between the house and the river was also well maintained and we were able to spend a lot of our time out here playing with dogs and kids. The property was close to Kenilworth which was nice to visit. Well suited to families with pets and we would hope to stay again.

River Oaks is a charming property which was perfect for our family holiday. It is well set out with a range of books and games to keep everyone entertained. The grass area and river were wonderful for little people and four legged friends to explore. A wonderful property which we hope to visit again.

We really enjoyed our 3 nights staying here. The house was very well kept and stocked with everything we needed. Our boys had the best time fishing, kayaking and swimming in the river and toasting marshmallows on the fire in the evening. There was plenty of room for our dog and for throwing around the baseball. We'd happy return in the future to this special property.

This is a lovely home in a beautiful environment, close to National Parks for walking, and backing onto the Mary River. Kayaks were provided, so it was fun to paddle in the water, sit in the sun and (next time) to maybe do a bit of fishing. The grounds are beautiful and the house well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing holiday.The home has a lovely old-world feel, and in this quiet setting, it is easy to slow down and just enjoy nature and the people you are with!We plan to return!!
This is a lovely home in a beautiful environment, close to National Parks for walking, and backing onto the Mary River. Kayaks were provided, so it was fun to paddle in the water, sit in the sun and (next time) to maybe do a bit of fishing. The grounds are beautiful and the house well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing holiday.The home has a lovely old-world feel, and in this quiet setting, it is easy to slow down and just enjoy nature and the people you are with!We plan to return!!
