A potentially great hotel, particularly for groups. Great breakfast, good open spaces to sit and chill with good views. However - the hotel needs to heat at least one of the pools in winter - both totally freezing and unusable. The spa - for which you have to pay extra - has a tiny warmed bath. Secondly, hotel needs to be clearer about what is included or not in the price of the room. There are a lot of 'additional payments' including the nicest chairs at the rooftop pool / bar!! Another entire area is only accessible to 'Level' customers. The photos therefore, to some extent, misrepresent what is included in the regular hotel cost. The main thing needed to raise the quality of this hotel is a proper HEATED POOL in winter so we can exercise. Otherwise, it's just a place to eat, sleep and blob out, with pretty views - which may be what you want.

Location was excellent. So close to the beach. The room was clean and the view of the beach was gorgeous. The only thing I would mention is that it is an older crowd and the staff seemed to cater to them. They weren’t as friendly or receptive when we asked questions. The cleaning staff was super friendly. Otherwise I would highly recommend this hotel. Room was comfortable and very clean. We had a car and parking was not included but you could park on the street for free. Buffet was included and it was great with a lot of choices. Pool area was large, clean and not short of loungers. Pool was not heated so water was cold this time of year. Loved our stay.

L'hôtel était très agréable d'un bon niveau dans l'ensemble. Deux bémols. La cuisine du restaurant que je ne trouvais pas particulièrement délicieuse.Assez banale, pas d'un niveau d'un 4 étoiles. Les transats autour de la piscine qui étaient dans un état déplorable, sales et souvent abîmés qu'on n'arrivait pas à utiliser convenablement. Ce n'était pas digne d'un hôtel 4 étoiles. Le personnel était très attentionné.

We were three adults in an junior executive suite, which was spacious and we loved the large balcony with great views of the sea. Property was modernised, food at breakfast was good, and the beach area was great. Two things that were very annoying though: 1) the elevators in the main building! They were terrible. Very tiny, one wasn't working correctly, and they took forever. It comes across as an older building that was redone, but the elevators definitely need work. And the stairwell, which many people resort to, has carpet that's seen better days and looked terrible. And, 2) you have to pay €1 every time you want to exchange your beach towel for a clean one. I get being ecofriendly and eliminating people leaving towels around and constantly getting new ones. But, not automatically having a clean one for each day at the beach was rediculous and felt cheap. I'd much rather pay €5 more on the room then being charged every day for a clean towel that should be standard at a beach hotel. They don't dry overnight when they've been wet with saltwater. Yuck.

We had 4 nights at Melia, the check in were slow and the lady in the front desk not very nice. Our room was not ready even though we checked in 14.15 (it was supposed to be ready by 14.00). The breakfast food was good but it is a VERY stressful environment, very loud and all the guest from both hotel buildings. We had cockroaches in our room and when I showed a picture on it to the front desk when checking out they were very concerned. But we didn’t get any discount or compensation.

Check in a bit slow.. Room smaller than expected and situated on the shade side of building Bathroom not clean in the corner and skirting board of shower area and shower was dripping constantly when switched off.. Worst was that drilling and hammering sound like from builders working started very early..

Amazing location to the beach. The room vas on top of the hotel garbage collection entrance so every morning you heard the beeping sound of the trucks. Was impossible to leave the window open sleeping. It's a very busy hotel, when I tried to feedback to staff I needed to wait in line in the reception so I gave up. My friend forgot the credit card in the hotel bar, next day got it safely, amazing hotel stuff. Amazing walkable distance to the beach. Don't rely on the pool, it is very small. Great cleaning team, always spotless results. Good breakfast buffet.

Very nice hotel on a beach, clean, very pleasant staff, great breakfast options, beach towels with deposit which was refundable, variety of dining options on the beach which was very convenient. Room was very clean, clean sheets and towels. In all very satisfied with our stay there! Definitely recommend!

The food was very good and enjoyable. Overall very good. Only thing that was annoying was the noise of the bedroom doors which all seemed to be noisy when closing, waking you up with a bit of a jump! Please get them sorted.

On rooms, Air Conditioning is automatically ajusted to work / offer a temperature of 26°C (78°F). This temperature cannot be moved. As personal opinión, this is a wet temperature that makes you swest, and don't have a comfortable sleeping. People from the lobby and technitians couldn't make anything to hab ve a cooler room. ☹️

Impressive hotel in a great setting. My trip was in the off season, so I didn’t get to use all the facilities. Breakfast buffet was impressive, but so spread out, although o can understand why when the diners are so numerous. My main gripe about the hotel was the level of noise from the elevator, hallway, other rooms and housekeeping- there appears to be no soundproofing or noise reduction on the floors.

From day one we had problems, key wouldn’t work to get into room had 5 different keys reception gave the same excuse everyday in the end just gave up as was fed up with , balcony door was broken so you couldn’t lock it, outside light didn’t work for the first week and also ants in the bathroom waste of my money this place was £2700 spent I would expect a lot more and one member of staff on reception called Victoria was not a nice person when I tried to complain about the door key for the 8th day in a row, she talks down to you and try’s to play it out. Will not be pay this much again to stay at a place that’s over priced for what you get.

We stayed at the hotel for three nights as a couple, and overall, it was a good experience. The room was clean, and we had an amazing view from the balcony, especially since we were upgraded to a higher floor after requesting it. The mini fridge worked perfectly, and the beverage prices were reasonable. The reception staff was consistently friendly and polite, which made us feel welcome. Our stay included breakfast, and it was great. We particularly liked that the coffee was served to the table. Some improvement could be done with the scrambled eggs, which was overly wet all mornings, and the sweet pastries were quite dry. One issue we noticed was that the room doors could use better insulation. We could hear everything happening in the corridor, and the light from outside came through the door in the evening and at night, which disturbed the overall comfort. Unfortunately, we also had a disappointing experience at the hotel’s other restaurant, The Beach, located across the road. On our first night, the waitress left our table mid-sentence twice when we were trying to ask something or just engage in friendly small talk. This made us feel unwelcome, which was disheartening, especially at the start of our holiday. Of course we understand when it’s busy but there was barely anyone there that night. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would recommend it, but we suggest improving the room insulation and working on customer service at The Beach.

Location is very good, quiet, nice. Breakfast food choices - excellent!!! Thank you! No English channels on TV, needed to request tuning up the system to at least BBC news given fresh fact of the Gasa-Israel war... No other English channel whatsoever. And nothing was done until guest manager involvement... I saw many other British tourists around - same complaint. Magnetic entry cards are weak and we needed to return back to front desk for 6 times during 5 days stay; obviously there is a problem with those.

The staff send us three times away while we wanted to check in because it wasn’t 02:00 P.M. even though we wrote them two weeks in advance that we will arrive earlier than expected and they said it would be okay. Apart from that was the stay very comfortable and the rooms were amazing. The breakfast had a wide range of goodies only the eggs were half raw

I booked this property as I was traveling alone for the first time and thought it would well located for shops etc. I can say I was not disappointed the hotel was fabulous, location could not have been better and as a lone traveller I felt totally safe and welcomed.

Good location across the street from the beach. Rooftop pool/bar nice as well. Not in downtown Malaga so you'd have to cab into old town area. Was perfect for our last night in the area and quick drive to airport next morning.

Kjøpte de luxe rom med sjøutsikt. Burde stått at disse rommene har delvis sjøutsikt. Frokost ok, men middagene var ikke bra. Var der i 7 dager, og ikke en middag var ok. Grønnsaker ikke kokt,kjøtt ihjelstekt, Melia må ta ansvar å skaffe seg en ny kokk.

I think they need to update their hair dryers in the rooms. They are the worst and they destroy your hair. Also, eventhough we bought the meal package, they still charge $4.00 euros for water. The hotel itself is very nice. Not sure why they have to nickel and dime you.

Decent hotel however we came for a spa break. The spa is only open Wednesday-Sunday which we didn’t know. Also it closes at 2pm until 4pm. You are unable to use the spa facilities for the whole day which when you go out of season would have been nice considering the outside pools are not heated. Breakfast had plenty of choice. Dinner time was disappointing as was also a buffet and the food quality was not great. We ate out for dinner. Bar was nice however it was very cold throughout the days and nights with heating only going on one night in the bar. Staff however were lovely and room was good. Would look at staying somewhere else next time due to some of these reasons.
