Ett äldre mysigt litet hotell. Vi hade tur som fick ett rum på 3:e våningen för det finns ingen hiss. Litet rum men rent och mycket skön säng. Toppen med badkar som vi passade på att nyttja. Vi åt frukost sista morgonen och den var god och väl tilltagen, dock ganska dyr. Ägaren jätterar och charmig och serviceminded. Läget perfekt. Vi saknade fri Wi-Fi men ett ställe nära (LuLu) hade bra uppkoppling så en drink och lite surfing blev bra.

The people were lovely, the hotel was not clean. Our bathroom was very dirty. The toilet has remnants from the previous guest in it. Hair in the bathtub and sink. The walls were dirty in the room itself, the glasses provided had lipstick marks. We were desperate and needed a room last minute and this was all that was available. The staff were so kind and friendly, I feel bad giving it 2 stars but it was beyond gross.

The pictures on Expedia were misleading. The check in went smoothly, however, we ultimately decided to leave and forgo staying. There were many people checking in so it appeared quite popular. The cost, given what other, nicer hotels in the area were charging, we decided to leave. My smell was of older place and my eyes were itching so we didn’t feel it was a good match for us.

We had a good stay at The Palace Hotel, very friendly lady welcomed us. Our room was up 45 steps which wasn't ideal for us because of our age. Our room was clean and comfortable. We were at the rear of the hotel and the pigeons outside our window made getting to sleep a little difficult, but on the whole no problems. The breakfast was amazing, far too much for us but very well presented, lots of choice , something for everyone.

It’s a 100 year old property so expect to walk up stairs, it’s expected and they have done some renovations. The property smells moldy, the bed is horrible, super cheap pillows-they covered the bed in a plastic sheet which made you sweat all night and couldn’t keep windows open because of traffic. The WiFi is ridiculous and the fellow tried to convince us everyone uses an Ethernet cable versus wireless-so out of touch for phones/tablets and the room and bathroom were dusty and dirty in every corner. They also don’t allow you to bring in any drinks/food to your own rooms.
