Loved this hotel! Our room was fabulous. Plenty of space yet cozy. Had massages at the spa and used the thermal spa for a bit. Easy location for walking to restaurants and shopping

Good location. Breakfast was excellent. Lobby very nice. Spa is sad and the hotel could use paint and repair. Nice 1 night stay.

This hotel is need a little glamour lift on the outside, the location is spectacular, the staff excellent, so clean you could eat off the floor, food is great with an eclectic variety, and I cannot praise it enough. Lovely interior, speed check-in, wonderful bar/lounge and the locarion is great. The elevator is small so travel light or beware if you have claustrophobia.

The hotel was right next to train station food was lovely and room was very clean But was very disappointed on the hotel bar closing at 10.30 fir 11 we walked in after being out fir nice meal thought we head back to hotel fir few drinks but the barman served us saud the bar was closing e had one drink when the backing music switched off barman had his jacket on left at 11 Porter on the door I must say what a waste as the lounge is done up lovely too so we were very disappointed and for that reason we won’t be back as we like to head back to our hotel at night just chill out in the lounge

Excellent location on the waterfront. Be sure to get a sea view room or otherwise the view could be of the back which faces the alley. Facility is old and tied and could use a refresh. The spa area which has a sauna, steam room, and heated lounge chair is a nice space.

Wonderful location in Oban for a visit. Central to the local shopping, restaruants, the distillery, train and ferries. The service and hotel itself were also very nice. I would certainly choose it again if visiting Oban. The only minus was the lack of parking, but it was very easy to find affordable parking nearby.

The room and bathroom were very clean. There was a good choice for dinner and breakfast and the food was excellent. We had a sea view room which was lovely, however, very noisy outside from 12-3am.

The rooms at the Perle were the largest we stayed in on our trip. The beds were very comfortable but, just as note, they do move about easily if you’re a restless sleeper. The hotel is old but it was super clean and very well maintained. Check in staff was friendly and helpful.

We like the room and the location and there were many positives to do with this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the restaurant was clean and had very good food and the wait staff was very helpful and friendly. The only thing we didn't like about the room was that the carpet was stained and looked dirty. It should have been changed at some point because it just did not make a good presentation. But everything else was on to our satisfaction.

The ladies at the front counter were wonderful. The decor in the breakfast room/restaurant was gorgeous. The porridge made by the Sous chef was amazing! The bad. The pillows in our room were shameful, hard as a rock and looked old. It was very noticeable that door surfaces on the main floor hadn't been cleaned in a while. The shower pan almost flooded everytime we showered.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were highly impressed by the high standard of service in this centrally located hotel in Oban. Our room was overlooking the bay and was very well prepared and cleaned during our stay. One of the highlights for us was the excellent cooked breakfast which set us up for the day! In particular we would like to mention how supportive and professional reception staff were throughout our stay.

Stayed in one of the junior suites, which was nice if not a little tired looking and in need of fresh decoration / touch up as there were numerous marks on the walls. Quite noisey also due to the old single glazed windows but that's to be expected. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were very nice.

Loads better on the inside than the out, lovely hotel, bay facing room would’ve been nicer, but great location right next to train station and ferry terminal. Breakfast great, staff friendly and helpful. Bed comfortable and bathroom very nice.

Nice hotel, in the middle of town so easy walking around the area. No onsite parking but there is parking available at Tesco which is less than a 5 minute walk. Our room was on the first floor at the back of the hotel, it was a bit noisy first thing in the morning with traffic.

What an amazing town & this property was centrally located with stunning views. The suite was clean & well equipped with an AC. We highly recommend staying here to anyone traveling to Oban. This was a highlight of our Scotland trip.

Pros - The room was lovely, bed was nice and soft, breakfast was amazing and staff were courteous and pleasant. Cons - draughty windows, rooms could do with replacement windows or secondary glazing. WIFI was spotty and TV, which relies on the WiFi, didn’t work very well. For the money it is a decent hotel but I’ve had better for less. Bar staff need to be more careful when serving guests as barman dripped hot tea on my wife’s leg whilst delivering it to our table.

The only thing I have to criticize is, that during the whole night our room was sounded by noisy supply water pipes in the walls and several machine noise (probably from kitchen or washing), which didin't became better, although we complained it at the reception.

We had a magnificent stay in a harbour view suite. The room was spacious with great amenities and views from two window seats. Breakfast staff were warm and friendly and food was excellent.

Lovely older, but updated, hotel very convenient to everything in Oban. The only issue was the bathroom. Understanding that rooms and bathrooms were designed by the building, but the bathroom was small. The door had to be opened or closed fully to move into the bathroom. Also the shower was small and if you are a larger person you cannot get into or out of the shower opening. Other rooms did not have this issue. Having said this, we would stay here again if/when we return to Oban.

Just about everything was great. Had an unfortunate experience at the Bistro on site for breakfast when the kitchen was shorthanded and the waitstaff did not advise of delays until we got up to find someone to ask - 40 min after ordering - when our food might arrive. Poorly trained waitress was dismissive/defensive rather than being informative/hospitable. It really stood out because we enjoyed such good service throughout our 2 weeks around Scotland at all manner of establishments. Hotel was very good but skip the breakfast if you have any plans for the day!

Hotel and area are beautiful. Evening front desk staff is neither very friendly nor helpful. We had difficulty finding the parking lot and she wasn’t much help. I am diabetic and my blood sugar crashed, my daughter ran down to get a coke from the bar and she wasn’t sure if they were open at the time and the same desk staff was of no help, thankfully my daughter saw that the bar was open and they were more than helpful.

The room was clean tidy and well equipped. As we are british we drink tea and the room has two tea bags.... I know you can get them from reception but quite frankly its poor. We had drinks in the bar prior to eating out with our friends and the bar prices I felt were very reasonable and were cheaper than the restaurant we ate in. He was polite and courteous but need to pay attention to waiting customers. Breakfast was as usual superb I hate the tea pots I would prefer simple ones with tea bags and the toast should be brought with the breakfast.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were highly impressed by the high standard of service in this centrally located hotel in Oban. Our room was overlooking the bay and was very well prepared and cleaned during our stay. One of the highlights for us was the excellent cooked breakfast which set us up for the day! In particular we would like to mention how supportive and professional reception staff were throughout our stay.

Loads better on the inside than the out, lovely hotel, bay facing room would’ve been nicer, but great location right next to train station and ferry terminal. Breakfast great, staff friendly and helpful. Bed comfortable and bathroom very nice.

The Perle Oban has a great location. You step out of the front lobby and you are in the heart of the quaint town of open. Easy to walk everywhere and anywhere and have a central location. Be aware that there is no parking at the hotel. We found a space at the train station, almost across the street and it is just £3 a day. We chose a room with a water of you, and we’re so glad we did!

Nice hotel, in the middle of town so easy walking around the area. No onsite parking but there is parking available at Tesco which is less than a 5 minute walk. Our room was on the first floor at the back of the hotel, it was a bit noisy first thing in the morning with traffic.

The Perle Oban is a true gem. Conveniently located near the train and ferry centers, it’s central to everything Oban has to offer. The cooked to order breakfast is generous and the staff is warm and friendly. Sea views can’t be beat. This was my second stay and it was just as lovely as the first!

Wonderful location in Oban for a visit. Central to the local shopping, restaruants, the distillery, train and ferries. The service and hotel itself were also very nice. I would certainly choose it again if visiting Oban. The only minus was the lack of parking, but it was very easy to find affordable parking nearby.

Just about everything was great. Had an unfortunate experience at the Bistro on site for breakfast when the kitchen was shorthanded and the waitstaff did not advise of delays until we got up to find someone to ask - 40 min after ordering - when our food might arrive. Poorly trained waitress was dismissive/defensive rather than being informative/hospitable. It really stood out because we enjoyed such good service throughout our 2 weeks around Scotland at all manner of establishments. Hotel was very good but skip the breakfast if you have any plans for the day!

Fantastic hotel, amazing facilities and had the best dinner at the hotel restaurant BAAB. The staff were sincerely accommodating in leaving a candle gift for my girlfriend on her birthday and singing happy birthday with a candle in her dessert. Will be back, thank you again!

Fantastic hotel and really great staff. Check in really quick and the room was really clean, spacious and a nice modern design but in keeping with the grandeur of the hotels heritage. Great lobby, bar and restaurant. Food was exceptional at breakfast! Couldn’t fault a thing. Thank you

Really enjoyed my stay here. The spa was nearly impossible to coordinate and there was no one at the desk to greet me when I arrived for check-in. The restaurant was also closed for dinner which was a shame because we were looking forward to it. Aside from that, we found the facilities, location, cleanliness, convenience of parking and affordability of the property really excellent. Would stay here again.

Room first class, very clean, everything you need. Unfortunately breakfast as last year was really disappointing. Thought we would try again. Scrambled egg was like an omlette, full breakfast was clearly reheated and still not warm. Cost us £30, what a waste of money. Shame as 2 years ago breakfasts were amazing. Cancelled breakfast on our second morning. Apart from this we had a lovely stay at the hotel. Reception, bar and breakfast staff were all very nice and cocktails amazing.

This is a beautiful property with nice rooms that are very clean. We were in a standard twin and though it was not enormous we had plenty of room for the two of us and our suitcases. If you have a lot of luggage you may consider asking for a larger room. If you are taking the ferry out to the islands, you cannot beat this hotel for the location. It is located directly next to the ferry terminal and in the heart of shops and restaurants. The hotel restaurant is excellent. We had dinner there the first night and it was absolutely delicious. I did not realize that we did not have breakfast included in our rate so that was a little annoying but we used local coffee shops and also the hotel restaurant and it all worked out. The only thing is if you don't plan on using the spa you might consider using another hotel and saving some dollars. We got into too late the first night to take advantage of the 30 min complimentary time in the spa and got back too late from our excursion the following day too. So that amenity went to waste. Really not a big deal, I just wish I had known that the spa closed at 5:00 ahead of time so maybe we would have arrived earlier. Again, not really a big deal, just a little more than I might have spent if I had known. The location and restaurant made up for it. The hotel bar is open late and is a nice amenity after a long day of adventure. Oban is a charming seaside town with so much history and a beautiful waterfront and really can't be missed.
