The hotel was on a great location for dining options! Don’t expect to get parking at the front of the hotel they literally have 4 spaces! Noticably tight with toilet paper only leaving the roll on the dispenser and no spare! Also water in the room on arrival but not refreshed we were there for 3 nights!

Newly renovated rooms are nice, tough small but the views are stunning. Convenient location for earing and walking the waterfront. Not much parking but we lucked out. Nice place

Well located property with friendly supportive staff. When the listing states 'on-site parking' it should go on to state - for up to 5 vehicles. That said, the marina car park over the road is free 1800-0900 so public parking is not a major inconvenience.

Property was nice for what we paid, very convient location in oban and oban itself was lovely. Breakfast room and breakfast was delicious although a little pricey, but was a good feed. Room was clean and spacious. Only issue was parking had booked hotel as it stated parking available, unfortunately there was only 3/4 space then rest was public paid parking and was very limited as oban itself was very busy, if arriving later in the day this could have been a really issue. Bar also closed quite early which was a shame would have liked to sit and had a drink into the evening longer.

View was spectacular, Room & ensuite were lovely & comfortable. Only downfall was no air-conditioning & no cold drinks after 10pm. But otherwise we loved our stay & we would certainly stay there again.

Very conveniently sited hotel. Nice, friendly staff. The shower had the smallest cubicle I've ever seen! TV signal was very bad, not a big problem for us as we didn't watch much but for those who do, would be very frustrating. Asked for a glass of white wine in the bar but was told they only had red. We just went out to another bar. Overall, nice stay

Great location. A bit tired and questionable decor (orange, gold and purple?) but comfortable enough. Bar shut at 9pm on Saturday night (!) and breakfast average. I wouldn’t avoid it though. Right on the water and everything is nearby.

On arrival val the receptionist ( female, 30’s, brown skin) was rude and argumentative. She told us street parking was free, when it was not! The room she allocated us was freezing cold as the window was broken in the open position and it was minus 3 outside. The window had been broken for some time as the broken frame had been painted over. The bathroom was freezing with a cold fan that couldn’t be turned off, the electric towel rail did not work and produced no heat. The room was next to a hallway door on one side that kept banging and a noisy lift on the other side. It was horrific. There was no parking at the front of the hotel as the 5 parking spaces had gone - the limited parking is not mentioned by the hotel.

We had a lovely two night break here. The room was spotless with a super comfy bed. Room was warm amd cosy. Delighted with the wee extras, hotchocolate, bottled water and bathroom essentials. Staff were very friendly. We will definitely be back.

Arrived 2 1/2 hrs early and told we had an upgrade, which was nice as it had a sea view, however the room wasn't ready yet, so asked to come back at check-in time. When we got to our room, the bathroom floor didn't look clean, my wife wiped it and it was dirty, dusty and lots of hair, there was also flecks of paper on the bedroom floor. I took the sample down to reception, they were very apologetic and gave us a further upgrade stating there had been a breakdown in communication with housekeeping. The final room was better, great views, warm, comfortable bed, warm shower. Overall the staff were pleasant and apologetic, however a checklist for Housekeeping might be beneficial. The is limited parking, however you can park at their sister hotel the Alexandra. We helped a disabled couple up the stairs with their luggage as the access is not at ground level, so i would check external accessibility.

Good location, they have had some refurbishment but to a poor standard. Paint all over bathroom floor, toilet seat too small for the toilet and not fixed properly, shower didn’t drain away and flooded, window wouldn’t close, door to roof outside room was open, no handles or locks just pushed open. Choice of decor questionable. Breakfast was ok some food had obviously been lying awhile and was very dried out, but plenty of choice.

Mixed review re cleaning. Some areas were quite clean, other areas not so much. Shower pan was plugged, water overflowed to the floor like a waterfall, not an exaggeration. Staff weren’t concerned.

The hotel seemed ok when we checked in, clean BUT our room had a window that wouldn’t close and no curtains. Consequently we weren’t able to quieten the (considerable) early morning noise or the light in the morning. Between the two we managed about 4hrs sleep. Both WiFi and TV signal was patchy at best. Nice but wouldnt go back. The shower was good

The carpets were very dirty. There is absolutely no noise deadening material between floors or rooms. The room we were in had an original window in the bathroom that would not close (noise, cold air). The shower was just bad... Even after staff showed us how to get the water to stay on, we could not replicate the process.

We were really disappointed with our stay. The lift was not in working condition, which should have been mentioned on the site when booking. Our room was tiny and the bed blocked the door to the bathroom, had we been any bigger there is no way we’d squeeze in. Staying on the 4th floor in May, for some odd reason the heat was still on in the hallways making the rooms very warm with no way to cool it off. There is also no parking on site and staff were very unclear about where to Park and actually advised us to park in a no overnight parking area. Overall this was definitely not worth the amount paid and I would not stay at this hotel chain again.

Clean comfy bed ,clean modernised bathroom.Draughty as windows in dire need of refurb. Windows really dirty, but fabulous views if you can see beyond this.Fire doors wedged open at times ! Breakfast, pretty dire, coffee undrinkable. Very old hotel in fantastic position looking over beautiful Oban bay,however cheaply refurbished, could be fantastic with a little more attention to detail.

Other than an initial poor check in experience, our stay improved greatly. The other front staff workers were very helpful and pleasant. The location is excellent and the room was very clean. I would recommend this hotel for a beautiful stay in Oban.

On arrival val the receptionist ( female, 30’s, brown skin) was rude and argumentative. She told us street parking was free, when it was not! The room she allocated us was freezing cold as the window was broken in the open position and it was minus 3 outside. The window had been broken for some time as the broken frame had been painted over. The bathroom was freezing with a cold fan that couldn’t be turned off, the electric towel rail did not work and produced no heat. The room was next to a hallway door on one side that kept banging and a noisy lift on the other side. It was horrific. There was no parking at the front of the hotel as the 5 parking spaces had gone - the limited parking is not mentioned by the hotel.

Not sure where the bad rating came from, but we had a fabulous stay. Location was great. The room itself was good - clean, enough outlets, nice shower. The common areas were a bonus - especially the dining room. And the staff was amazing. One worker came outside in the cold to help us see where to park, and Prescious, who works in the dining area, was super friendly and great. Would highly recommend.

The staff bent over backwards to accommodate us in every way. The ladies Ramona and Glory at the check in desk were so kind and helpful. Giving 110% for customer service. I worked tourism in Denali park for 12 years. I appreciate good service.

Our twin room was quite small, but,clean and adequate. The hotel is centrally located, everything is within walking distance. The patio overlooks the harbour and is lovely to watch the sunsetting. The staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble. I will certainly return.

Didn’t like the fact that there was no ramp to carry your luggage up to the entranceway. Not a big deal though. Hotel is old, but well kept.

A lovely stay in Oban, staff were pleasant and helpful, the bed was very comfortable , it is acknowledged the hotel is going through a refurbishment and will be excellent once this is complete. Location is great with easy walk to the town centre.

Parking could be a problem. Rooms are a little small. Also, carrying luggage up steps into lobby since it’s located on hill. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Food poisoning for all in my company. Food overall really poor quality, No service in dining room to acknowledge it. The least you can expect from a restaurant by the sea is a good filé of fish when order fish and chips. Not some cheap thing with a LOT of bones in it. Check in and check out went well with friendly staff.

Staff & cleanliness of hotel was good. The reason the stay did not live up to our expectations was it was cold & our food service was really bad. Starter of haggis bon bons had to be sent back to kitchen due to undercooked the haggis was cold & still frozen solid inside. On return it was freshly made apparently but it was still inedible due to being cold & frozen inside. Breakfast they forgot to add sausage to our breakfast plate and the beans were cold on telling staff of our beans being cold they took away & brought new portion which was also cold do unable to eat. Please address the kitchen situation as we will not be returning unfortunately due to this which is sad.

It was a poor experience, from the inability to use the TV (actually said no signal), to the windows not opening when very warm and the cold coffee from an insipid large boiler at breakfast that didn’t work. Poor cooked breakfast with little help from service staff. All together rather forgetful. Martin

Excellent hotel, staff very courteous and food was superb. Room was very comfortable, clean and spacious and bathroom was massive. We also had a brilliant view. Bar area was lovely. Can’t say a bad word. Breakfast is defo worth having.

Property was nice for what we paid, very convient location in oban and oban itself was lovely. Breakfast room and breakfast was delicious although a little pricey, but was a good feed. Room was clean and spacious. Only issue was parking had booked hotel as it stated parking available, unfortunately there was only 3/4 space then rest was public paid parking and was very limited as oban itself was very busy, if arriving later in the day this could have been a really issue. Bar also closed quite early which was a shame would have liked to sit and had a drink into the evening longer.

Clean comfy bed ,clean modernised bathroom.Draughty as windows in dire need of refurb. Windows really dirty, but fabulous views if you can see beyond this.Fire doors wedged open at times ! Breakfast, pretty dire, coffee undrinkable. Very old hotel in fantastic position looking over beautiful Oban bay,however cheaply refurbished, could be fantastic with a little more attention to detail.

The room was tricky to get into due to position of bed, but once in it was comfortable and had everything you need. Housekeeping staff provided with with an iron very promptly and all staff were very nice. Decor is to a nice standard and having a sea view was bliss. Breakfast was rather yummy and very good value for money. Iussed seeing some fruit and it would have been nice to have the coffee in a cafeteria

It’s clean but looks old. Overall I think it’s not easy to find parking space. You could get street parking but depends on your luck. I wait for a short while to get a parking space. The quality of breakfast is so far so good while you can enjoy a good view in breakfast. It’s still nice

Det är ett hotell med några år på nacken med en något bedagad charm. Fantastisk utsikt om man har rum med havsutsikt! Bra läge för en tur på stan med bra restauranger nere i hamnen och en charmig pub runt knuten.

Our stay was excellent from start to finish. The room was so clean and we could not fault it. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was well cooked and thoroughly scrumptious. A special mention to the young lady (Precious) who never failed to smile and greet you when entering the restaurant. All in all 10/10 and we will be back

The hotel maybe not look the best from outside but significant changes have been made since we were there last to improve things. The room we were in was clean, comfortable, nicely decorated and had a fabulous view. Every member of staff we met was polite and friendly. The girl who checked us in was lovely. We didn't eat in as so many places to eat in Oban so can't comment on food. The hotel is in a great location for us as is so close to main centre and it also has a lift which is very handy. There is a good few steps from ground to entrance however, a ramp could perhaps be made at one side to pull cases up as I did notice people struggling. I am sure though reception would help if asked. We will be back
