Check was simple and quick. General areas were clean but it seemed very dark and dull. Room was up 2 flights of spiral staircase, not ideal traveling with 2 young children. Room was basic, furniture has seen better days and could do with a complete makeover. Stains on carpet and rug, really dated fixtures and furnishings. Childrens room had a velux window with no blind or way of keeping light out. No water supplied in room, could only be purchased from the bar. Went for breakfast at 9am (an hour before it stopped) and there was hardly any pastries left, with no more supplied, slow service for a hot drink (which was table service only). Lack of signage in the car park for the one way system.

Quiet location within its own grounds. Plenty of parking. On site restaurant with a choice of seating areas. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. Large room and bathroom which was comfortable.

This is one of the best parking lots we encountered in all of Scotland. The hotel had a nice continental breakfast that you could also get hot or cold breakfast in addition to the continental items and it had a large variety items you can order for dinner.

Comfortable hotel in a quaint country setting. We stayed in one of the outdo cottages and it was clean and well equipped, if a little bit dated. It was the weekend and the hotel was hosting a wedding, so there was loud music playing until the wee hours of the night - something to keep in mind if you plan on staying during the weekend. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and whatever minor grievanances we had with the wedding noise and the room were more than made up for by the wonderful breakfast we were served in the morning. By far the best breakfast we had during a two week tour of Scotland! We’d stay here again.

Good stay in the hotel, enjoyed using the restaurant for breakfast and dinner , plenty of other dogs in residence. Good walks to be done around hotel and nearby village. Lots of space in the external rooms no sounds from other residents.

Be aware this must be a listed building with narrow stairs and no lift. We were on the top floor and being pensioners not ideal. I thought the bed was too hard but my husband was ok with it! Food was very tasty but very limited. I had same meal two days running as didn't fancy anything else. An abundance of fish dishes but no chicken? Very pricey for not many amenities. We were attending a conference so thought it would be easier to stay in the same venue but would have been better off staying in Perth.

Hotel was conveniently located in a lovely garden setting. Sunday breakfast service was very slow and poor, although food was good. Monday's service was quick and efficient, and service staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean, but could do with a refresh - mildew on bathroom tiles, paintwork chipped and marked. Room was clean and comfortable. I would stay here again.

Room was not made up so had to change to another. Had organised a bottle of prosecco for my husbands birthday but didnt get that. Bathroom wasnt clean so i didnt have a shower, toilitries were not adequate and i dodnt take any with me. Short and curlys in loo and bath. Staff however were absolutely lovely.

Had a lovely break. All staff were welcoming and friendly and we were made to feel ‘very at home’. Unfortunately we felt the cleanliness of our room was below the standard we expected but overall we enjoyed our stay.

Stayed here before flying home. Hotel is old with a special charm. Everything was spotlessly clean, but the rooms - especially the bathrooms - need an upgrade! The facilities used must be older than I am. Even with a free upgrade to a bigger and better room, this was not what we expected from the pictures. These are probably 20 years old. Location is great next to a castle and the park around the hotel is superb.

Hotel was comfortable, had a good sleep, the old windows were very draughty, the bathroom door didn't fit into it's surround properly so couldn't be closed and it all needed a little updating, breakfast was average.

The hotel is set in lovely grounds with river walk nearby. Our room on ground floor was comfortable but decor a little tired. Shower over bath in en-suite, non slip mat provided on request. Restaurant onsite provides lunch and dinner menus. Full cooked breakfast provided was very nice. We stayed two nights, waited an hour for cooked breakfast on second day due to mix up with orders in kitchen. Staff were apologetic but did seem disorganised and lacking in management. This was a shame as otherwise a nice place to stay.

The property was very beautiful and clean. Food was great! Had dinner and breakfast for both days of our stay. So we got to try a few different things. My only complaint was the bed was super uncomfortable. Very hard and the pillows were in desperate need of an upgrade and the blankets were super thin. Staff was so nice!

Personally wouldn't describe this as a boutique hotel. Quite tired in places, bed and furniture in my room were well worn and damaged, mattress felt like it was ready for replacing, and the bathroom didn't smell great. Breakfast was good and it did the job for my overnight business trip.

Great hotel in a good location. We had lovely big comfortable room (202). Lovely breakfast with lots of choice. The service in this hotel was first class from every member of staff we encountered. I cannot praise the staff enough. Hopefully we’ll be back

Very poor customer service when asking if we could pay for the set menu as the app would not let me book half board the staff insisted this was not possible even though the restaurant was clearly serving this menu. In fact he even went as far as to snatch the menu back out of my hands. We then had to not drink and drive to a good restaurant elsewhere. So they lost a £100 meal and I was told in the morning at checkout this was actually the manger so much for customer service. This was the second time I have stayed the last time we overheard the staff talking about us because we brought our own drinks to send time in the room. They won't get a third chance from me. I'm a gold member on hotels. Com as I book more than 100 rooms a year for work and my driver's. It's not often I have to go to this effort to leave a bad review especially when the hotel and location is very nice. Just the staff who let it down and I'm sorry to anyone who has to work under this incompetent manager.

Very relaxed location in lovely grounds with nice sitting out areas and choice of conservatory or restaurant for dining. We were lucky enough to get upgraded to a suite for our anniversary so lots of space, lovely furnishings. Very friendly staff in all areas. Meals were good ,if sometimes slightly delayed and plenty of choice on the menu. Convenient for major road networks North/ South and into Perth too. Would stay again!

Good location, very friendly staff, no stuffiness, very nice grounds and very good service. Very happy to return for another stay.

From the friendly greeting on check in to the lovely staff in the bar and restaurant, everyone couldn’t do enough for you. Hotel is set in beautiful grounds, you’d never believe it was less than a minute from a main road as it was so peaceful.

Nice hotel tucked away on the outskirts of Perth. Bit dated, but clean and comfortable. Nice and quiet too with some lovely grounds when the weather is dry.

Hotel was conveniently located in a lovely garden setting. Sunday breakfast service was very slow and poor, although food was good. Monday's service was quick and efficient, and service staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean, but could do with a refresh - mildew on bathroom tiles, paintwork chipped and marked. Room was clean and comfortable. I would stay here again.

This could be a lovely location but sadly the building is very tired looking in need of some love and a good coat of paint and some Maintenance. The food menu needs some looking at, as the meal my husband and I had was very it was underwhelming, Overcooked, tasteless. The wine list is also underwhelming they only had four wines that you could have by the glass and sadly one of them was out of stock so very limited the choice you could have.

Food was awful, we attended a celebration and the function room was very cold throughout the evening, making it quite uncomfortable, the dining room was also very cold, I had to put on an outdoor jacket to eat breakfast. There were 2 dogs in the Diningroom when we were eating breakfast, we found this to be unacceptable whilst we were eating. Overall we were disappointed in the hotel.

Really nice stay. Staff are very nice and friendly. Birthday surprise in room was very nice. Thankyou. Food was lovely. Best burger ive had. Only let down was heat in the room. Even for December i had to open all the windows and the radiator wasnt on.....odd. Was still too warm. Ok in dining area. Heard others complain of temperature. Overall well done.

Huntingtower is such a charming country hotel. All the staff are really friendly, especially Tracey at reception. Evening meals are fantastic with a great wine list.

Had a great stay. The only thing I didn't enjoy all that much was the overdone hamburger I had for dinner. Everything else was perfect.

Really helpful staff and a pleasant atmosphere in the bar and restaurant. Check in was smooth and for the price the room was perfectly serviceable. The hotel is fairly run down and tired but just needs a renovation. A good night's sleep and a lovely breakfast choice. Overall, a good stop off.

We were a group of 6 friends who booked 5 rooms at Leonardo Boutique Huntingtower. We loved everything about the hotel! Rooms were spacious, clean, and had electric kettles and coffee/tea. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We enjoyed time in the evening sitting in the lounge enjoying drinks from the bar. Breakfast was held in the most amazing dining room and was delicious. We had some of the breakfast buffet as well as the hot options. We would definitely return!

stayed here last year and had a great experience and lovely room. Very disappointed this time with our room, booked double standard, was told at reception we were upgraded to a superior double. Was shown to a chalet out the back, which on entering appeared dated and the windows did not close properly. Would not class as an upgrade… Room was nothing like the pictures on the website. Unable to have showers in the morning as the water was scalding hot. Bar & restaurant staff were friendly and food was good.
