Simplicity to park the car. Well placed with a beatiful view on the Loch.

Lovely location with sea views. They had a wonderful outdoor area for enjoying a meal, drink, or just enjoying the scenery. There was a grass area for kids or dogs to run around in. It is very outdated but a great place to stay.

The hotel is getting some exterior work done at the moment. The staff were really nice. The food was very good but a bit over priced I thought. The views were great too. The room was clean but the toilet was very cramped to use the loo next to the shower but you can only work with the space you have.

Great place to stay while visiting Glencoe. Beautiful patio looking over over the loch to enjoy a meal. (Try the chocolate cake!) Only downside was no lift and narrow stairs, fine for us, but i could see others having issues.

Staff seemed inexperienced and disorganized. The restaurant was the nicest part of the facility but the menu was super basic. No lift and small circular staircase to get to rooms.

Location, Location, Location - the picnic tables on the raised terrace give a fabulous view of Loch Linnhe. Excellent staff, relaxed unhassled and calm, happy to help with a smile. It’s 10 minute drive from the town centre of Fort William

Fantastic location but the decor (2nd Floor) is tired and with no lift you need to travel light.

Nice location in front of the see - Nice & good restaurant - clean room & bathroom. Just missing an elevator (2x floors) as to bring suitcase to 2nd floor is not easy when old.

Brilliant location, right on the edge of the loch. Property is undergoing refurbishment, bedrooms need more work, but restaurant was very good and the food was amazing. Good parking and deck to sit on for drinks overlooking the loch. Improved rooms would make the hotel amazing. Very accomodating staff.

The staff here was really nice, the rooms definitely need some updating! Our room was pretty tight and smelled pretty bad when we walked in and then our wifi was really weak (nonexistent) in our room so they did relocate us to another room...smelly free and good wifi but again very small and dated. This was a pricey stay for a hotel that doesn't give you complementary breakfast, no mini fridge in room or microwave, no elevator and unfortunately nothing to do around the hotel that you can walk too. We ended up having to book a 2nd night because our ferry was cancelled for Mull but because there isn't anything to do close by the hotel we were stuck inside watching TV for 3 days while the storm came through. This unfortunately was our least favorite stay out of 10 places we stayed during our trip, but the restaurant down stairs was actually very nice and updated and the food was pretty awesome.

Renovation dust all over carpet and windows. Construction workers right outside our window. Room right beside highway and passing vehicles very noisy.

Awful. Room was tiny, mouldy, dirty, smelled horrible. Food took over 1 hour to arrive, no comments or apologies or explanations from staff. When it arrived, it was terrible food, we politely explained we were unhappy. This caused merry hell. The restaurant manager and the hotel manager were both aggressive, hostile and frankly scary. We left the hotel at 9.30pm with a 2 hour drive home. Was better than staying there. Do not stay here. Awful.

This is a fantastic hotel with great staff. The rooms are clean and lovely views over the lough. It has a nice Restaurant with good food. You wake up in the morning to a buffet breakfast to suit most people.

Let’s start with the positive: the hotel location is perfect for access to Glencoe/Ft William. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. You could spend the whole day walking on the easily accessible beach. The staff was very kind and attentive. Our stay was great… until it wasn’t. We were only there for one night. As the previous reviews had stated, the hotel is dated and could use some work, b it we knew that going in. They are refurbishing the outside, which did not impact our stay at all. Absolutely no noise from the construction work. I planned our trip for one year and relied heavily on the reviews of previous travelers. I hate to do this but I need to note that I have concerns with the hygiene of the place. I got in the shower one hour before check out. The shower had not been cleaned. I know this because of the used bar of soap and transdermal medical patch of the previous occupant was sitting on top of the shampoo dispenser. It literally made me sick and then I started noticing other things in the room and could not get out of that room quick enough. The location cannot be beat but the price is too high. Breakfast is not included and basic hygiene is overlooked. For £50 less per night i probably would it have even mentioned it but i feel they are promoting a luxurious experience but the staff cuts corners in operational costs.

The cottage did not have comfy beds. The bathroom had pink mould in the shower, bugs and dust on ledges. Restaurant was very over priced for what the food was and the service was terrible. Staff spent most of the time talking at the bar instead of waiting tables. We were never asked if we wanted more drinks and dessert took 25 minutes and we had to ask about it and threaten to walk out before it finally arrived. Also no one asked how our dinner or our stay was. Will never stay again.

Quiet lovely place . Room was comfortable but we had twins beds funny , guess I pick it wrong on site . Older bedroom area but bath room was newly done . Clean and organized hotel set up . Bar and dining room was new area lovely and comfortable. Food for dinner and breakfast was great and well prepared. Buffet for breakfast with good options . Beautiful hotel surroundings mountain view was stunning and beach to walk on too .

My room had spiders in it and there was a very strong bleach smell. I mentioned it to the staff came downstairs and they told me if you want to change rooms you have to pay an extra £40. They came upstairs to clean everything but the smell was still there. They offered me free dinner because they didn’t want to change my room cause they will keep on saying that the hotel is fully booked, but when I went on the online again, it’s still available and then suddenly they showed me a room which is available because it was a double room not a single room they tried to tell me I have to pay an extra £40 if I want to get that room and I told them that I can’t sleep in that smell it was middle of the night. I had no choice but to sleep in that smell and in the back condition, plus it was third floor and had no lift.

Complete disappointment for the price. Stayed in one of the loch-side pods in mid-September, 2023. Gorgeous view, but the practicalities of the pod left something to be desired. This property could be a destination worth a detour...but instead it felt something like a college dorm where mismatched furniture was shoved into a space it didn't suit. No kitchen garbage, missing kitchen utensils (bottle opener, scissors etc.), uneven numbers of plates and cutlery, missing chair cushions, shoddy finishings. If you plan on using the stove to cook - don't. There's no way to vent the fumes and there's a wooden shelf installed directly above. It also shakes every time heavy trucks pass by on the adjacent highway. Like other reviewers we knew it was close to the road but perhaps expected slightly better build quality given the price tag. The hotel WiFi also "disconnected" at 11:30 every night.... The entire pod gives the impression that it was slapped together at low cost without any serious thought. Would not return or recommend.

We spent three nights in a deluxe pod. It was spacious enough for two, very clean, had a very comfortable bed, the appliances worked well, the shower was very nice, and we had a beautiful view right on the water. Some needed touches were missing, such as dependable Wi-Fi, kitchen necessities such as towels and paper supplies for those who bring their own food, and a larger mirror one could use for everyday use. We can’t speak for the food at the restaurant since we didn’t eat there. Great location.

Booked a luxury pod and drew the short straw staying in the one closest to the very busy main road. All night we were woken up by hgvs. But of course we paid the same as everyone else! No soap at the sink, no hooks in the bathroom and some bright spark decided to put a switch next to your head at night which you can’t turn off and shines a red light on your pillow…. Actually enjoyed the pod though and they’re well appointed. Breakfast was the most disappointing of our week long visit to 5 different properties in Scotland this week. Bacon and sausages undercooked and quality generally underwhelming. Dinner in the evening was odd. The restaurant lacks any character at all. It was busy though, and the food was good. We were going to order dessert (at £10 each) but after waiting an hour for someone to come and take an order we gave up, paid the bill and went to bed. I worked at Travelodge for 8yrs and I’d put money on the manager of this hotel having worked there too.

We stayed in one of the beach front pods - highly recommend. It was lovely! Comfortable, clean, private... beautiful views. Absolutely loved it!

Great little overnight stay, stunning views even on a wet winter day, enjoyed a walk along the Hotel’s beach (!) and the pods looked very tempting for a future visit. Room was compact and could do with a little TLC, but the staff very friendly and efficient.

This place is incredible for the views if you stay at the pods. The restaurant is actually very good and large portions. staff is very helpful as well BUT what they don't tell you is that the WIFI in the pods is horrible and you're unlikely to get it. We constantly kept having to go up to the house for wifi! we are in 2024 this should not be an issue and IS NOT stated in the booking

It’s a lovely area, gorgeous beach and the hotel is a nice building but the rooms and comunal areas feel dated and have no luxury, which for the price was disappointing.

The property was nice. Wish I booked the pod instead. Our room was right on the road, the room shook when trucks went by all night. The mattress was very uncomfortable, very used.

It was fine. The rooms were very college dorm like (at least like American dorms) and were relatively clean. The bathroom shower stall was not cleaned super well- black in the corners. The bathrooms have been updated which was nice and the property is directly on the loch so you can go sit on the pebble beach and put your feet in the water whenever you want! It is on a main road though and the room I was in was at the front of the building and SO LOUD. I could hear every car. The walls are also very thin. After dinner service each night, it sounded like someone was throwing a temper tantrum and crashing plates and bins into sink for an hour. Made it hard to sleep with that, the traffic, and hearing my room neighbor's every move. I think the beach pods would be very nice but the rooms in the hotel are just okay. The food was good. The curry smelled great when other tables got it! And the staff was very friendly and worked hard. My server at the restaurant was also the housekeeper! They definitely keep busy! Overall- decent place to stay and close to Ben Nevis if your want to hike while you're there. Convenient location just bring earplugs.

Pretty average - appreciate it’s a small private hotel but on arrival no one was on reception - a queue of 3 guests trying to check in, took one of the guests to walk through the hotel to find someone. There was a bell to ring for reception but no one answered. I booked a single room as it was the only one left but it was TINY. Had marks all up the walls and broken plaster. Bathroom had been refurbed recently but again it was tiny - not even usable really. A real shame as it’s a stunning spot and breakfast was great. Overall hotel could do with some TLC and more staff. Wouldn’t stay again for the price - location and time of year is no excuse to charge extortionate prices for poor room.

The manager was wonderful. We had a great time talking with him. The food at the restaurant was delicious.

Terrible. When we booked it was originally supposed to be myself and my partner however we decided to take one of our children on our trip, we phoned a week in advance to add him to the booking where we were told there was no family rooms but they would be able to put an extra bed into the room at a charge, this seemed reasonable and we agreed. When we checked in the hotel room they took extra money from us and gave us our keys, we went to the room and the ceiling was covered in large cracks and damp of the ceiling presumably from a leak the overall cleanliness was pretty awful and to our surprise no extra bed. We went down to reception to be told that there was no extra beds at the property and that we were told we had to share a double bed, (2 adults and 7 year old child). They made me out to be a liar and stated that I had agreed to this on the phone, which I absolutely never. We queried why we would be charged extra to share a bed and the man on reception agreed. We couldn’t stay at the property for obvious reasons. We contacted hotels.com immediately who advocated for a refund but the hotel simply refused. We are now out of pocket for the original stay plus for accommodation we had to book for that evening as we were 4 hours away from home, late in the afternoon with a young child. Avoid this place at all costs. They will make you feel like a liar and give sub service.

Accommodated our late arrival due to flight delays. Breakfast’s were great, checked before cleanup to make sure we didn’t need anything more. The one dinner provided more food than needed. Provided additional linens needed when the hiking gods struck. Very pleasant and aware staff. Greatly enjoyed our stay.

The property was perfect for our stay. Central to the heart of Glencoe and giving us access to the region’s hiking trails and amenities.

Easy to find, good sized car park, quick and friendly check in, great dinner and breakfast. Only downside was the noise from passing traffic is very loud. If I’d had brought earplugs it would have been perfect!

Such a unique , beautiful setting and the hotel is like home from home with cosy lounges and well equipped rooms. The staff are so welcoming, polite and want to ensure your stay with them is enjoyable in every way. The food and service is excellent! A place to visit all year round.

It was OK, all told. The location and views were superb but the hotel relies on these with the hotel itself looking somewhat tired, the rooms in need of decorating and the breakfast with several things well overcooked and ingredients obviously not of highest quality. I'm not dissatisfied overall but next time I'd go somewhere else

The staff were friendly and accommodating. I was able to get a fan for the room. The room was dated but I was steps away from the rock beach and the grounds are beautiful. Dinner on site was wonderful and the complimentary breakfast was one of the best I've had.

The Onich Hotel was right on a Loch with beautiful views. The property was quiet, clean with very pleasant staff. We had dinner there, would recommend the curry! Breakfast was also pretty good 👍

Absolutely beautiful spot. Stayed in a pod which was perfect. Dining was delicious. 20 min south of Fort Williams so would recommend eating at the hotel. It was really good. And the view is so great you won’t want to leave anyway!

POD was decent, but small. That brought some challenges including cleanliness and just moving around. Food was good at restaurant, however one night it took an hour and 20 min to get food after order. This is personal record. I guess they missed that we had two kids.
