Everything, the staff are super lovely, comfortable beds, food looked amazing drinks at the bar or sit in the lounge. Baths to due for lovely deep and lashings of hot water. Very friendly and welcoming. A fire in the bar - very comfortable and done quirky “ Manor House “ things around. Lovely room with good dinner and breakfast too.

For the price paid i was happy with my stay. Sure the room is a bit dated and there are some minor paint issues, but i couldnt fault the friendly service and cleanliness. Plenty of parking (even during a busy wedding party) was a bonus too. Having a water filter jug in the room is a great idea, really saves on plastic bottles, and the toiletry pack was a nice little touch. It was peaceful and very quiet so no issues falling asleep.

A nice hotel, the staff were friendly and helpful. Especially the French chef who was lovely. The food was very nice and the reception staff were very helpful and welcoming. Entirely constructive criticism, the hotel itself inside is in generally good condition but the exterior of the building and the car park could do with a lick of paint and bit of general tidy up just to bring it all into balance. I would certainly stay again.

Lovely quiet hotel. Rooms are spacious and the food served in the bar is amazing. Staff are very helpful. My only complaint as a business traveler was that the Wi-Fi in my room (214) was a bit intermittent.

This is a fabulous small hotel in a very quiet spot in Ellesmere Port, with lots of charm, character features, and a beautiful garden. The staff are fabulous in all parts of the hotel. The restaurant serves lovely food at a fair price, served with a smile and warmth. The hotel has a rural feel, but is a short drive away to Liverpool, Hoylake for the golf, and pretty Chester, not to forget things to do nearby. Well done Brook Hall!

I stayed here the night before I ran an ultra marathon so was after a peaceful nights sleep. The hotel didn’t disappoint, very comfy bed with quiet country surroundings and very clean facilities. Only negative is lack of shops nearby.

Staff were outstanding so helpful and friendly. The room was large and so clean. Comfy bed and amazing shower. Food was delicious. Loved waking up to bird song. Loved our biscuit on arrival 😊

The hotel entrance was lovely and fesrive althougb my husband said that it smelt a bit fusty. The ladieat the reception desk assigned us our room and gave us a shortbread biscuit which was a nice touch. I had high hopes for the room but we were really dissapointed, although clean, there was damp in the bathroom broken and chipped tiles and just general signs of neglect. The room itself was ok but nothing special, there was a storage heater in one corner of the room but other than that not much sign of any heating, not that we could control anyway. Overall really dissapointing and we definitely wouldnt return

Lovely hotel situated close to a nearby wedding venue that we were attending. We were given a suite which was absolutely spot on, clean, spacious and conveniently right at the top of the staircase meaning no wandering around looking for our room. Staff friendly and helpful, I’d absolutely stay here again.

Lovely hotel, so nice for a hotel to be different from the large chains who provide the same thing everytime. The staff were all very approachable and friendly, ghe food excellent and the room was spacious and clean. I will certainly return when im in the area.

The room had a damp smell. Tell tale sign was it still had a dehumidifier in the corner of the room. Waiter was unable to provide a drinks menu with prices and no itemised bill given when paying. Breakfast was not cooked properly and had to be returned and the cappuccino from the coffee maker in restaurant was cold. Not drinkable. We both left with bites after 1 night in the room.

One of the nicest hotel's ive stayed in everything was fantastic the staff were friendly and welcoming, rooms were beautiful and clean lovely view of the gardens from bedroom ,and the food was amazing ,i would definitely stay again, so peaceful

There was a wedding at the hotel with a very loud disco until past 12am and interestingly the staff were not keen to help and offered us to leave at 11:30pm if we’re not happy to stay. Also the website says £20 charge for pet while they charged us £35 as they said they don’t have the available rooms used for pets.

Lovely charming hotel, room was a little worn and walls are very thin, not great if you've got noisy neighbours. Lovely comfy bed and very friendly attentive staff. Great value for money and would definitely stay again.

I really felt for these guys. It was so close to great. But. Missed out for two critical reasons. Hot water not hot enough. No heating in the room.

The hotel is nice enough. The receptionist and waiter were super efficient and friendly. The food was mediocre. When i booked a table for 7.30 the chef was a little perturbed as he had a party to cater for at the same time. The room was a good size but in need of redecorating or at least touching up. They have a water heater rather than a kettle in the room which makes for awful tea. The TV is a very upmarket all singing all dancing one that needs a technical degree to use. I watched tv on my phone in the end, it was easier. My room had a spa bath but when i tried to fill it nothing came out of the hot tap. It dawned on me in the morning that i could have filled the bath from the shower, but too late by then! The showrr however did have really good water pressure.

Arrived and checked in and given a homemade cookie. Good menu in restaurant. Had a lovely bedroom and large bed. Excellent breakfast. Found all staff pleasant and friendly. Would stay again.

I arrived late to be told someone else had been given my room my mistake but they could not remove them nor did they have any spare rooms. This meant I had to drive an extra 16 miles to find a hotel that could accommodate me at a late time in the evening.

I arrived late to be told someone else had been given my room my mistake but they could not remove them nor did they have any spare rooms. This meant I had to drive an extra 16 miles to find a hotel that could accommodate me at a late time in the evening.

Stayed here a few times now, great hotel, rooms lovely and really comfy beds. All the staff are lovely and cant do enough for you. Big shout out to the lady on reception, great service 👏

All in all amazing experience, food was delicious the chef couldnt do more for me (i have coeliac disease & dairy intolerance), everything was made fresh. All staff were nice, friendly and couldnt do anymore for us, lovely people. The bed for me was ok but partner slept like a baby, the rooms were beautiful if you like that kind of decoration. Could do with a little tlc over the hotel but where doesnt. Will honestly be coming back again !! Made our little break away magical ✨️

I stayed here the night before I ran an ultra marathon so was after a peaceful nights sleep. The hotel didn’t disappoint, very comfy bed with quiet country surroundings and very clean facilities. Only negative is lack of shops nearby.

Everything, the staff are super lovely, comfortable beds, food looked amazing drinks at the bar or sit in the lounge. Baths to due for lovely deep and lashings of hot water. Breakfast was just amazing fresh fruit, coffees pasties cereals and a great option of cooked all lovely a secret little hidaway greart amikies girls trip or a romantuc get away secret little hideawat and only 10 minutes from shopping outlet

Nice clean room but was very noisy. Zero sound proofing and couod here next door clearly as if they were in the same room. Location not practical either.

We had a lovely stay here. It has no restaurants or anything near it but its very quiet and peaceful. The interior is beautiful and the staff were very friendly. Especially the lady in the bar and the chef.

Lovely hotel situated close to a nearby wedding venue that we were attending. We were given a suite which was absolutely spot on, clean, spacious and conveniently right at the top of the staircase meaning no wandering around looking for our room. Staff friendly and helpful, I’d absolutely stay here again.

Property is located in a lovely area bar the camp of caravans located right next to it. They had music playing very loud long into the night. Property could definitely do with some new mattresses and the breakfast was not great at all and left a lot to be desired for the price.

This is a fabulous small hotel in a very quiet spot in Ellesmere Port, with lots of charm, character features, and a beautiful garden. The staff are fabulous in all parts of the hotel. The restaurant serves lovely food at a fair price, served with a smile and warmth. The hotel has a rural feel, but is a short drive away to Liverpool, Hoylake for the golf, and pretty Chester, not to forget things to do nearby. Well done Brook Hall!

Arrived and checked in and given a homemade cookie. Good menu in restaurant. Had a lovely bedroom and large bed. Excellent breakfast. Found all staff pleasant and friendly. Would stay again.

Lovely hotel, so nice for a hotel to be different from the large chains who provide the same thing everytime. The staff were all very approachable and friendly, ghe food excellent and the room was spacious and clean. I will certainly return when im in the area.

The hotel is nice enough. The receptionist and waiter were super efficient and friendly. The food was mediocre. When i booked a table for 7.30 the chef was a little perturbed as he had a party to cater for at the same time. The room was a good size but in need of redecorating or at least touching up. They have a water heater rather than a kettle in the room which makes for awful tea. The TV is a very upmarket all singing all dancing one that needs a technical degree to use. I watched tv on my phone in the end, it was easier. My room had a spa bath but when i tried to fill it nothing came out of the hot tap. It dawned on me in the morning that i could have filled the bath from the shower, but too late by then! The showrr however did have really good water pressure.

The hotel is dated but well managed and excellent staff ensuring comfort and a good experience.The staff went that extra mile to assist with our arrangements as we were attending a party somewhere else. We would visit this hotel again without question if in the area. We did have breakfast which I must say was the best breakfast We have had in a hotel for a long time. Reason for this is cooked to order. Evening meal was very enjoyable too. Well done.

A pleasant stay in a quiet neighbourhood. A big and nice garden although currently somewhat ”rough”. Nice dinner and helpful waiter. A plus for the air conditioner.

We used this hotel as a base for the British Open Golf at Royal Birkdale, Southport. Whilst being further away than we thought (our fault not theirs) we had an excellent stay with the staff being very friendly and helpful and a good evening meal in the restaurant and a very acceptable breakfast the next day. If staying in the area, I'd highly recommend the Brook Hall hotel.
