Old hotel, not updated or well maintained. The door to both the pool and fitness area was broken. Lift chair for the pool was broken, although we didnt need it, still seems like they're not keeping up with things. There was an old coffee pod in the coffee pot in the room and some crumbs on the floor, so cleaning wasnt great. The staff made up for most of it by being friendly and kind.

The room was clean. The room above us was very loud with children running for hours. It was 100 degrees out and we wanted to swim. At checkin, we seen the sign the pool was out of service. I was NOT happy. We arrived 20 min early and was told we could not check in and must come back. It was not a great experience and would not pay what we did for a room that was loud and no pool for my 2 year old grandson.

This is thev3rd time in 3 years we have used this hotel and the advertisement says there is a pool. All 3 times I've called directly to be sure the pool was open and all 3 times the answer was yes. All 3 times, it's been closed for our whole stay. I dont feel we should pay full price for the room since thaye #1 lying about the pool being open and false advertising.

Good value!!! Pool not working seems like a common problem here (it was “out of order”). Not the cleanest or quietest place, but I feel it was fine and we got what we paid for. Thank you :)

Staff were friendly and helpful and parking on-site was easy. The pool was not open and the shower in the room was terrible. The water pressure was painful and the drain was so clogged that the tub filled up within 30 seconds of having the water on. It made it extremely unpleasant to shower at all. Bed was okay, the pillows were uncomfortable, but the AC worked well. Overall, a decent experience for the price paid.

Extremely poor customer service by Cheryl at the front desk, Horrible, horrible attitude! She Continuously rolled her eyes at us when checking us in because she had difficulty with check in. They advertise having a pool, but there was no using it. They advertise room darkening curtains, but there were none. They advertise a snack area where purchases can be made, but it was dirty and dusty, and only had approximately six items you could choose. The freezer in our refrigerator was frosted up and we could not use it. Our room keys stopped working midway through our visit. We wanted to relax and watch a good movie, but only three channels came in on the TV. Fairfield Inn was a joke!! We could not wait to run out of there. We left at 6:45 AM on our checkout day.

The beds were comfortable. It was fairly quiet. BUT…. The bathroom was gross. There was mold/mildew all over the shower. Like there was no attempt to clean it. It just looks like the whole place needs some repair and deep cleaning. There were stains on the curtains and shower curtain. Paint chipping all over in the bathroom.

The front desk double charged me for the room and after admitting the mistake have yet to refund my money. The room smelled of animal urine and one of the beds sheets were not clean. The sink would not properly drain and the shower pressure was mild. I e stayed here many times in the past and have witnessed this building fall apart over the years. The manager was nice however incompetent.

For a family of 4, there was only 1 washcloth and 2 towels, when asking for more, the lady looked at me and shook her head no- wasn’t sure they had any. Breakfast was very small, no real options. Pool was closed and was not aware until checking in at the hotel. Beds were comfortable, but loading/unloading doors were not automatic, so made it harder to accommodate all the things.

There was a ring around my bathtub that I cleaned before using. The staff was nice. The rooms had a stale smell which I bought air freshener to mask. There was a party on the same floor as us. The children ran the halls all night long. Even after me opening my door and asking them to stop. You could hear them screaming all night. Tyler was extremely welcoming and helpful.

I thought something was funky when I was asked whether we watch TV when we checked in. Then in the room, the TV only worked on a couple stations, there was no offer to change rooms or to have a reduction in the bill. The outlets at the desk were non-functional and a couple light bulbs were burned out. The hotel seemed "tired" and in need of some sprucing up.

The pool was closed which was one reason we chose this hotel. According to the front desk, we should have gotten a call telling us & allowing us to cancel reservations without a fee, but we didn't find out until we arrived at 9pm...too late to want to search out another hotel. No discount was offered.

Stay was great! The best part was the late breakfast on Sunday! A minor inconvenience was that the $40 that was held for incidentals took a very long time to be released. (2+weeks) it was a little odd… OTHERWISE, FANTASTIC STAY!

I checked in at 3:00 PM on a Friday. Upon entering my room I heard the toilet running. I couldn’t get it to sop running. Consequently I reported it to the front desk. The lady at the front deskinformed me that unfortunately the maintenance man had just left for the weekend, but she would write it down(whatever that means). The lady at the front deskinformed me that unfortunately the maintenance man had just left for the weekend, but she would write it down(whatever that means). Extremely poor customer service by Cheryl at the front desk, Horrible, horrible attitude! She Continuously rolled her eyes at us when checking us in because she had difficulty with check in. They advertise having a pool, but there was no using it. They advertise room darkening curtains, but there were none. They advertise a snack area where purchases can be made, but it was dirty and dusty, and only had approximately six items you could choose. The freezer in our refrigerator was frosted up and we could not use it. Our room keys stopped working midway through our visit. We wanted to relax and watch a good movie, but only three channels came in on the TV. Fairfield Inn was a joke!! We could not wait to run out of there. We left at 6:45 AM on our checkout day.

The front desk double charged me for the room and after admitting the mistake have yet to refund my money. The room smelled of animal urine and one of the beds sheets were not clean. The sink would not properly drain and the shower pressure was mild. I e stayed here many times in the past and have witnessed this building fall apart over the years. We checked into a room with a wet carpet so we requested another room. That was quickly accomplished, which was much appreciated. Breakfast was just OK with not a lot of choices. The pool was closed, which was disappointing. The hotel is in a nice area and is easy to get to. The staff was nice, though our towels were changed 1 day out of 3 while the beds were strangely not made nor the soap changed. The beds were a little soft for my taste.

The hotel was in a convenient location for our stay after moving in our daughter at Carthage College. The amenities were excellent with the hotel and room being clean and the interior upgraded with recent renovations. The walk-in shower in our room was very nice. The breakfast was great including a wide menu selection. Front desk attendants and the breakfast area prep lady were friendly and helpful. A huge problem we encountered during our stay was when illegal fireworks started blasting in the air from the adjacent wooded property east of the hotel. At first we thought it was munitions explosions or gun shots but then saw fireworks in the air above the hotel. This woke us up at 10pm and went on for about 25 minutes. Our car was parked in the hotel south lot. We checked out at 9am. There were chunks of fireworks paper and chemical powders strewn around the parking lot and on top of our car and other guests vehicles. There were powder burns on our car's paint surface. Fortunately I was able to polish the powder burn marks off the car finish. Our stay was great except for this fireworks incident. Maybe they were, but if not, I think that Racine law enforcement should have been contacted immediately by hotel staff to prevent noise disturbance and property damage to the hotel and guest vehicles.

Pool and hot tub were shut down for the werk. I have to leave the hotel each morning during my stay at 5;45am so not able to paryake in breakfast. Would be great if some breakfast items were out by 5:30am. 2 days this week the coffee pots were not out for use early am.

One of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. Will definitely make this one my regular when staying in racine. The breakfast has so many options. All are very very good. They have lactose free options for people who are lactose intolerant. The general store in the lobby is a neat idea. Rooms were very clean. A little smaller than expected but we made do. The complementary shampoo, conditioner and body wash are wonderful. Sometimes when you go to a hotel you get the cheap low quality soap but this was not the case. Very very nice. 2000% recommend. Staff are very friendly too, it's a slice of home away from home.

When I go to a hotel, I expect it to be a welcoming environment. Well, walking up to the door we noticed the grass was way overgrown, and the doors were filthy. We did not even want to touch the handles. And a sign on the door stating the weight room and pool, are temporarily shut down. That in itself wanted me to ask for a refund. Upon entering our room there are no words for good ending. The breakfast was very disappointing, most people like more of choice for hot foods other then eggs & sausage. Like waffles, biscuits & gravy, sausage patties. What about fresh fuit and really have water available for customers at all times. I think it pretty sad when customers have to volunteer to mow the lawn and clean the front doors.

It was cheap!! Get what you pay for!!! Didn't seem like there was enough people working most of the time. When some were working they brought their kids to swim in the pool. Room was missing lamps and dresser. Refrigerator was broken and leaking smelly blue fluid. Screen was laying on the ground outside. Looked nice online and driving by but wouldn't recommend unless you just need a bed for the night.

I had booked my room over a month earlier and they did not have the same style room available. They had rented it to someone else. The clerk was able to place me in a different style room but how can a reserved room be given away? I spent 2 nights. The first morning, before 8AM, the breakfast was out of orange juice and waffle batter. Hours before breakfast was to end. No fruit was available. May I suggest that the pillows be returned to regular pillows, not the square hard overstuffed ones? I travel with my own pillow for this reason and really don't think I should need to.

This is an extremely serious safety and security concern, particularly for families with children. We were moved to another room, but the floor was extremely loud, the public restroom was out of order, and there were no towels available at the pool or in our room.
