This was an overnight stay, the staff were very friendly and efficient, good food in the restaurant during the evening and breakfast the next morning. Comfortable surroundings to enjoy a beer and rest after a long day's riding. We would definitely stay there again

Lovely hotel. Very clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Meals were tasty and hot, with a good choice on the menu for the evening meal and with very reasonable prices. It's only about a 15mins walk from the station.

The rooms were clean and comfortable staff friendly and helpful some little things needed attention just wear and tear really nothing to awful, the place was very presentable. Tea tray was well stocked biscuits hot chocolate tea and coffee. Location was amazing right on the shore front I would stay here again in a heartbeat

We had a lovely stay. The toilet did not flush well so was a bit of a pain and the room was very hot but a fan was provided which did help. Bed was clean and comfortable.

The hotel is very well designed room was lovely and clean good shower sea view close to railways only downside was breakfast £14 had eggs benedict 2 halves of muffin but only one egg never had that before asked for a second pot of tea and the tea never brewed only explanation we can think off is the tea bags had already been used

Fantastic hotel with amazing food and staff. Just a suggestion the hallway and room very hot with the heating on full blast, which on the hottest day of the year was uncomfortable for sleeping, but otherwise amazing as always

The hotel is located a few strides from the estuary. We had fabulous views from our bay window (room 18) across the water. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Facilities in the room were great, full range of tea, coffee, chocolate and biscuits, including a coffee machine. Hair dryer and iron and ironing board were available. The room was enormous with a very comfy bed and large sofa. We ate in the hotel on both nights of our stay and the food was fabulous, well priced, good portions and very tasty. Great location for lovely walks and the Eskdale Railway.

Unfortunately, our experience at the hotel was very disappointing. The hotel appeared run-down and poorly maintained, and the overall standard of cleanliness was not what we would have expected. Sadly, based on our experience, we would not recommend this hotel to other travellers and we would not choose to stay here again.

Unfortunately, our experience at the hotel was very disappointing. The hotel appeared run-down and poorly maintained, and the overall standard of cleanliness was not what we would have expected. This is a hidden gem hiding behind a very unassuming facade. The position on the estuary is beautiful with no traffic, very quiet and peaceful. The hotel has been nicely renovated and the food above average.

The hotel is in a lovely place facing the sea with areas to walk. A few minutes walk from the railway museum and train rides to a beautiful area. The only thing I was unhappy with was that not all the staff worked as a team at meal times. The rooms, facilities and amenities were all lovely. Staff were approachable.

All Ok but nothing outstanding, breakfast I felt was lacking anything particularly memorable. I had problems on the stairs with low handrail, as i am walking with stick and unbalanced.
