There were several highpoints: the lounge areas are very extensive and very nice (I can imagine they how they would be when the fireplaces have fires), the room (very spacious and filled with antiques), and the breakfast (the best of the trip, and in memory of several trips). The supper menu has only four items to choose from, so very limited. The breakfast was vastly better than the supper. The innkeeper was very pleasant, told us Prince William has been there the day before for some event.

A beautiful setting with comfortable rooms and very clean. The food was delicious and the staff were wonderful ! Always smiling and helpful ! It was an absolute pleasure to stay here ! Plenty of parking spaces. If you're looking for a break I highly recommend Two Bridges !

Lovely character hotel in very attractive picturesque grounds and the very old stone bridge which gives it its name. Well located for getting around the moors of Dartmoor. Nicely appointed with well furnished bedrooms and character bar.

This property is in an idyllic location and you can walk on Dartmoor straight from the garden. The staff were the best bit, all really friendly and efficient. Extra Dog treats, bowl and ball were added extra touches that made the stay even more special.

Love this hotel, clean and tidy. We took our dog with us, they left a bowl, treats, dog bags and a squeaky bowl. The room was clean and tidy and had great views. All the staff were very professional and friendly from check in, bar staff, restaurant staff both dinner and breakfast, cleaning staff and check out. Food was amazing, so tasty and filling.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is lovely, quiet and in a peaceful location. The hotel is clean and tidy. If you are looking for a relaxing break. This is definitely the hotel to go to. I will be returning in the near future.

Disappointed to have pre booked supper requesting a window table to be sat in the middle of the restaurant. The shower needs attention! The shower rose was so blocked you couldn’t use it, it was leaking from the arm joint, and the handheld was exactly that, you had to hold it as the riser rail was broken! Luckily I have a soft spot for this hotel and the geese will always make you smile in the car park

Dirty room. Food average at best. Food menu extremely limited. 8-10 minute wait for hot water in shower. Mattress literally collapsed when you later on it (and no, I’m not a fat, greedy person)! I have nothing positive to say about it other than to say the surrounding area is beautiful.

Lovely relaxing stay in January. Cold outside but warm and cosy inside (insulation needed around the old sash windows in bedroom though against the wind!) Very welcoming atmosphere and the friendly staff went out of their way to accommodate our wishes. Our room was a good size and comfortable if a little tired looking. The hotel is in a beautiful spot with lots of good walking trails nearby. Would definitely stay here again

Very good service, but the property is tired. No double glazing in my room and dining room. We were seated by a window for dinner, but asked to be moved, we were sitting in a very cold draft from window. They advertise a special menu, this was the reason for choosing the hotel. Unfortunately the fact that their Signature Menu is not served on a Sunday was buried in the small print and not on the face of the 9n line menu. Paid Expedia £170 for the room which I think is over priced given condition of the building. I note the hotel was only charging £145, so a nice commission of £25 for Expedia for booking my room.

Absolutely loved our stay here. From the moment we arrived we were made very welcome and could immediately relax. Our room was stunning (Vivienne Leigh). The service was faultless and the food delicious. We will definitely return.

Like going back in time but in a good way, Hotel has bags of character and in an amazing position, All the staff are polite, friendly and helpful with Natalie on reception being over and above what you may expect. Her friendly and sunny nature provides a warm welcome and the hotel should be proud to have her, Only one small thing, the Dartmoor breakfast was a little lacking and appears somewhat mean given the half a tomato, half a black pudding, a tiny piece of bacon. Please ‘don’t spoil the ship for a hapath of tar’ as the saying goes.

Like going back in time but in a good way, Hotel has bags of character and in an amazing position, All the staff are polite, friendly and helpful with Natalie on reception being over and above what you may expect. A beautiful setting with comfortable rooms and very clean. The food was delicious and the staff were wonderful ! Always smiling and helpful ! It was an absolute pleasure to stay here ! Plenty of parking spaces. If you're looking for a break I highly recommend Two Bridges !

Lovely character hotel in very attractive picturesque grounds and the very old stone bridge which gives it its name. Well located for getting around the moors of Dartmoor. Nicely appointed with well furnished bedrooms and character bar.

This property is in an idyllic location and you can walk on Dartmoor straight from the garden. The staff were the best bit, all really friendly and efficient. Extra Dog treats, bowl and ball were added extra touches that made the stay even more special.

Lovely relaxing stay in January. Cold outside but warm and cosy inside (insulation needed around the old sash windows in bedroom though against the wind!) Very welcoming atmosphere and the friendly staff went out of their way to accommodate our wishes. Our room was a good size and comfortable if a little tired looking. The hotel is in a beautiful spot with lots of good walking trails nearby. Would definitely stay here again

This hotel is a delightful old property in the heart of Dartmoor. The staff are friendly, rooms are comfortable and the service is excellent. Would highly recommend this hotel especially if you like hiking on the moors.

There were several highpoints: the lounge areas are very extensive and very nice (I can imagine they how they would be when the fireplaces have fires), the room (very spacious and filled with antiques), and the breakfast (the best of the trip, and in memory of several trips). The supper menu has only four items to choose from, so very limited. The breakfast was vastly better than the supper. The innkeeper was very pleasant, told us Prince William has been there the day before for some event.

This was our 3rd visit to this lovely comfy Dartmoor hotel. It’s a long time since we were here and I’m delighted by the fact that not much has changed. The food in the restaurant was much more veggie friendly than I remember and we ate here both nights of the stay.

Absolutely loved our stay here. From the moment we arrived we were made very welcome and could immediately relax. Our room was stunning (Vivienne Leigh). The service was faultless and the food delicious. We will definitely return.

Dirty room. Food average at best. Food menu extremely limited. 8-10 minute wait for hot water in shower. Mattress literally collapsed when you later on it (and no, I’m not a fat, greedy person)! I have nothing positive to say about it other than to say the surrounding area is beautiful.

Love this hotel, clean and tidy. We took our dog with us, they left a bowl, treats, dog bags and a squeaky bowl. The room was clean and tidy and had great views. All the staff were very professional and friendly from check in, bar staff, restaurant staff both dinner and breakfast, cleaning staff and check out. Food was amazing, so tasty and filling.

Very good service, but the property is tired. No double glazing in my room and dining room. We were seated by a window for dinner, but asked to be moved, we were sitting in a very cold draft from window. They advertise a special menu, this was the reason for choosing the hotel. Unfortunately the fact that their Signature Menu is not served on a Sunday was buried in the small print and not on the face of the 9n line menu. Paid Expedia £170 for the room which I think is over priced given condition of the building. I note the hotel was only charging £145, so a nice commission of £25 for Expedia for booking my room.

Amazing stay. The Vivien Leigh room was excellent, huge, nicely decorated. I can see some might consider it a bit dated but to me it was perfect. Very comfortable bed, sockets either side. The only minor problem with the room was low pressure in the shower, but it was manageable. Parking is simple, the hotel gets busy but plenty of spaces are reserved for guests. Wonderful location in the middle of the moors, with some great walks on the doorstep.

Easy to park. Must admit, we expected the room to be of better quality for the price paid. Bathroom fan didn't work, and room was above bar which was noisy until gone 1am. However, we had a fabulous evening meal and breakfast was really good too. Not sure I'd return to be honest though?

We enjoyed our stay at Two Bridges. The hotel room was clean and had a rather spacious bathroom. The property is well maintained and outside seating areas are great for sunny days. The staff were very friendly and breakfast was excellent. We also enjoyed an excellent dinner at the restaurant. We can recommend this traditional hotel and would gladly come back in the future.

Parking was easy and safe. Location of the property was perfect both for accessing Dartmoor and wildlife spotting (lots of unusual birds in the grounds). Staying at Two Bridges was a treat; it is a unique hotel and has an amazing history
