Fantastic location easy walk to everything with undercover parking. Great clean apartment, though looking a little tired, could do with minor upgrades. Comfortable bed. We had a pool view balcony, it’s worth consider special request if you prefer morning or afternoon sun on your balcony. Only downside was being top floor the balcony had no roof & no shade in daytime. Pool lovely & spa warm. Staff friendly & helpful

The only negative was the showers/toilets near the pool. The door wouldn't shut due to moisture expansion on the door. I would advise attention to fixing the doors for safety and privacy.

This is the second time we have stayed at this property, and we are happy with our room (a 2BR and 2 bathrooms) overlooking the pool. The pool and sauna are great. The only downside was the gym because it was very small (our eldest son is a regular gym goer), and also the check-in time was 3 PM (not 2 PM like others), so we had to wait near the pool for our room. The location near the marina, Wollis, dining precinct and Two Bobs bakery (must have). We will come back!

Great property, location and amenities. Beautiful water views from apartment bedrooms and balcony. There were a few members of the public congregating outside the property after hours talking into the early hours so there was a bit of noise but that’s outside Mantra’s control. Everything else was perfect for a comfortable and value for money stay. Undercover parking a bonus to keep cars secure from theft and in case of storms. Highly recommended and happy to stay again - thank you!

We’ve stayed at heaps of different types of accomo on Nelson bay but nothing beats Mantra. Pool is always beautifully clean, staff are lovely and helpful and the location is the best. Can leave the car parked and walk to everywhere.

Counter staff very friendly at checkin,unfortunately kitchen floor dirty and sticky. Bathroom floors also not clean. Hallways had debris the whole stay one piece of toilet paper in Cori door was there for the whole stay, corridor Not vacuumed for whole 3 days was dirty.

Pool looks huge in the pics, it isnt and for us, full of kids. Property is very tired and not properly cleaned or maintained. Toilets seats dont fit; 2 rolls of toilet paper provided super thin; fridge light doesn't work; no air in master bedroom, just one small window locked so you cant full open; no aircon in the bedrooms. Because there's no airflow through the 2 bedrooms they were dusty for us, wont be like this for everyone, just those sensitive to dust. Balcony is tiny with a small table and only 3 seats lol. Check in is after 3pm (quite late), we arrived 2:50pm and told the room not ready. The leather lounge is comfortable and theres a big TV (we connect our apple TV) but internet (Optus) is very poor. Very handy to walk a few blocks down to the shops and waterfront. NERO's ice cream is a must visit. Two large building sites between the Mantra and the water view. We were on level 2 which is really level 3, we did have a small view, not sure about lower levels. Disappointing, booked and paid for 5 nights but left after 3.

We, specifically, chose an apartment that wasn't a Pool View but we got one anyway We are old. The first day we were at the Mantra the noise from the screaming children was unbearable. Didn't cease till 9:15 pm (curfew was 9:00 pm). The apartment requires renovating and a good clean. Mould on the blind (which requires replacing) in the main bedroom. Probably because there was not a window in the room to air it out. Won't be booking through Wotif again!!!!

We had a such a great stay at mantra. Kids loved the pool and everything was within walking distance. However, the first disadvantage was that none of the windows had blockout blinds so it was hard to get a restful sleep with light from the street peering through, as well as the mornings by 6am everyone was up including the kids. Second thing we noticed was the main bedroom with ensuite, didn’t have any air conditioning and was on the opposite side of apartment to where the air conditioner was mounted to the wall so was impossible to cool down before bed time, which is what we had to do each night for the kids room. Pretty minor, wasn’t enough to ruin our stay we still very much enjoyed ourselves. Thank you.

Quiet, safe, easy parking, nice staff. Property condition is fine, cleanness is OK, WiFi is very slow, but we have enough mobile data so it's not a issue for us. Swimming poor is beautiful. It takes 7 mins walking to Woolworths and Thai food, 12 min to town centre. Pretty good for family traveling.

Great size 3 bedroom apartment, however there was no air conditioning in the bedrooms and only 1 had a fan. If you opened the dirty windows, the road noise was loud. Needs an update and beds feel old and worn.

We were given a room on the ground floor opening out onto the pool, and it was VERY noisy with kids shrieking non stop. Also the balcony wasn't very private as you were in full view of all the people in the swimming pool when you were out there. Next time I would ask for a room on the other side of the building. Other than that it was very comfortable and had everything our little family of 3 needed. Great that you can walk/cycle easily to town.

Beautiful apartment hotel, nice swimming pool, large rooms. Couple of issues we encountered were slow to unusable Wifi connection which is a shame, also the TV in the apartment was quite old and could not connect to wifi at all, that was fixed by the hotel changing the TV unit to a brand new one next day

Room had not been cleaned properly from previous tenant. Hotel did not have a generator to support power to our room during a blackout even emergency lighting for fire escape was out and no communication from staff when this occurred

We loved how the reception kept communicating with us and informed us that our room was ready before the check in time. The lady at the reception was very friendly and great with the service, and even changed the room to 2nd floor when we were not happy with the ground floor room. The apartment itself was clean and neat, apart from the bathrooms. The bathrooms were a bit moldy and there were hairs on the floor.

Fantastic location easy walk to everything with undercover parking. Great clean apartment, though looking a little tired, could do with minor upgrades. Comfortable bed. We had a pool view balcony, it’s worth consider special request if you prefer morning or afternoon sun on your balcony. Only downside was being top floor the balcony had no roof & no shade in daytime. Pool lovely & spa warm. Staff friendly & helpful

We’ve stayed at heaps of different types of accomo on Nelson bay but nothing beats Mantra. Pool is always beautifully clean, staff are lovely and helpful and the location is the best. Can leave the car parked and walk to everywhere.

Would reccommend placing a hand rail in the bathroom next to shower/bath! Felt like I was going to fall down when getting into and out of the shower/bath! If you are short it is a big hazard, would reccomend the property looking into this as it is very easy to fall down :(

The room was grotty with dirty walls, door handles and overall a grubby feel. They wanted us to park in a carpark that was attached to another building not in the building we were staying in which would have been difficult with luggage as you would have to trek across the property to get to the other building! Lucky it was raining and they found us a carpark in the building we were staying in - that seems like a given to me! The bathrooms were dirty, the walls needed a good clean and the carpet was yuck. The towels were on their last thread and you had to pay per beach towel which I thought should have stated previously. Very disappointed in this stay. I didn't save the photos I took but have a couple from the dirty utensils in the kitchen and d terrible state of the washing machine and dryer! your clothes would have been cleaner not going in them! Very disappointed in this stay.

The carpet can be kept bit more cleaner. Late check in wasn’t a good experience even after informing the time we will arrive. The code was sent wrongly and we were stuck outside the gate with kids. The support call mentioned in the message or display didn’t not pick the call at all. Luckily we got help from the maintenance guy who was around.
