Lovely hotel ideal for the airport ,rooms are good sized and come well equipped with even a fridge and microwave for long stays and the staff are really friendly,a good size car park with free parking already booked again for this week .

It was good for what I needed it for which was a oit stop for our early flight from Manchester Airport. It was also cheap so i cannot complain too much. Parking was free. Staff was plesant bjt room and building is old and not clean enough. Don't know if i will stay here again but it wasn't terrible just a bit deceiving in real life

Booked in as I'm working locally. I always read reviews before booking and wad surprised by the comments after spending a few nights. Place was really warm especially as -6 outside. Was disappointed to find out there was no bar as its still advertised as having one, but that was only complaint. Very quiet hotel and decent bed and room. Would revisit anytime as its good value, warm, and very helpful and cheery staff.

The staff were exceptionally helpful. There was a slight heating issue which they sorted very quickly. The hotel is clean, but a bit old fashioned in décor, the bathrooms are modern though. Breakfast is worth the extra. The free parking is a bonus.

Definitely not recommended. The hotel is a little run down and "looking tired" which in itself would have been ok, but there were then a few things that were, in my view just unacceptable for any hotel, even a cheap one. This was just a one night stay in a cramped twin room, but if it had been a longer stay we would have gone elsewhere to continue the stay. The worst point was that bed linen and towels were clearly re-used from the previous occupants, as they were still clearly dirty (they were not stained, as we could wipe some of the "dirt" off). Sorry but I do expect fresh linen rather than just remaking the beds, even with budget hotels. The room was generally very dirty and also smelled a little damp. The bar and restaurant are no longer opened, so you have to drive into town to eat (or probably 20 minute walk if weather had been better than it was when we stayed!). The only member of staff was apologetic, but was then unable to remedy anything.

The property was very worn and tired.the exterior looked abandoned ,unkept. The room itself at a glance looked clean,at a deeper look the carpets were old and heavily stained,toilet area also dirty and damage to adjoining shelving. The room faced to the rear of property where there was an outdoor seating area .even with the windows closed the noise from other guests drinking and smoking throughout the night.made it impossible for me to sleep!good points; the shower was small but instantly hot also ample parking

The Hotel is in a state of repair. It needs cleaning and alot of work.the member if staff on check in was helpful. The key safe to get in doesnt work took over 15 mins to open. Mold in the shower. The carpet need cleaning.

The rooms were very tired and run down. Lots of mould in shower/grout. Torn fabric over chairs and headboard, tired furnishings. Poor heating arrangements, very cold. One end of the building stunk of cannabis, perhaps just a coincidence but smelled like smoking. Really disappointing stay.

3night break to visit family.Twin room for adult sons. Infested with fruit flies. Rooms not serviced during stay. Reception not open for clean towels at breakfast. Ragged, tired decor. Kettle on short lead underneath TV screen. Flower beds littered with mastic tubes, hotel soap containers, beer cans, washing poles. Unused external loose electric cables blowing in the wind tapping on windows. Noisy toilet plumbing from other rooms whistling. Terrible shower pressure. We'd stay again as the bed linen was clean and this place is walking distance to relatives. Suggest you stay elsewhere

The staff were welcoming, and the room was spacious. However, the shower was very weak, and the room smelled awful. I think that milk had been spilled on the floor and it smelled rancid. Ruined our stay. I think the carpet needs a deep clean, or replacing. There was a big, visible patch of mould on the wall by the bed, which is a trigger for my asthma. Before my trip, the hotel had also tried to take money from my account before my stay, when it was supposed to be paid at the property.

Horrendous Room was old and dirty, freezing cold, no heating on at all, lock on the door didn’t work, walls were paper thin and could hear people next door really clearly, tv was tiny and could hardly hear it from bed.

Well what can I say I was shown half way to my room and told my room is up the stairs and that way. I got lost as the way he pointed brought me back to the main building and my room number wasn’t on any of the doors. My so called superior room was nothing but parts of furniture was broken dust on everything the tv is was from the 90s and so slow. There was rips and carpet coming up and stains everywhere The building looks nothing like the pictures it worn down and breaking up. Only good thing was the size of the room and the bed was quite comfy. oh but the garden is looked after.

Another great stay here again the staff are so friendly and helpful and the rooms are ideal for people working in the area as they have a decent sized fridge and a microwave and kettle,will be stopping again .

Room was incredibly basic and very small, not even a mirror in the bedroom. Mould in the shower in the bathroom. It was ok for one night and the guy on reception was incredibly nice and helpful, carried our bag to our room for us.

A convenient place to stay before an early flight from Manchester airport. Reasonably priced, efficient service at reception. A very small room, ok for one night with an early departure the next morning, but I wouldn't have wanted a longer stay in that particular room.

last min booking - would not return. pre paid for b’fast - was not advised of time served nor quoted on any information at reception desk - 10:10 Sun am to be told b’fast ended at 10am. so left having nothing - will be requesting our money is refunded for this. reception desk at Hotel not always manned so difficult to get info you may need. Staff that we met were very friendly. Bed linen/towels clean & room lovely and warm but even thought booked superior double in desperate needed of refresh/repairs. Photos show in good state of repair/decor but that is not the case :-(

I cancelled on the phone before arrival to which they agreed to not once but twice!!! And then again via a message!! The manager then refused to be contacted by hotels.com and would not give me my money back!! When I became frustrated he told me to behave and that he would call the police!! I just want my money back for a room I didn’t stay in and the hotel agreed to refund!! - disgusting!!

Awful. Called at 10pm to say if we arrive after 11pm there will be a phone number on the door and we need to call that to check in. Called the number 20 times, nobody answered and then they switched the phone off. Ended up with nowhere to sleep for the night.

I couldn't find the location of the hotel but Rachide patiently kept me in line for 15 minutes and guided me to the hotel. Very welcoming and If i come to Manchester , I will definitely stay here again .

I only stayed overnight having booked online check in was quick and simple. My room was comfortable a small ensuite but perfectly adequate. I had some difficulty negotiating the late return combination lock but luckily I spotted a member of staff clearing up at a first floor window and he came to my aid.

Great location very friendly and helpful staff fantastisk WiFi connection and great rooms i was here for the Manchester United v's Brentford match which is good because Old Trafford is only a 9 minute trip on the tram which is not far away i would recommend this hotel for a short stay i've been here many times and i have never had any problems

Great service from staff, very clean. Buses and eateries easy close walk. Enjoyed our stay there.

Although checkin time starts from 3pm but due to United game we requested early check in and they made the room very soon by 12pm. It was easy to get to Trafford from the hotel via Brooklands tram stop .

What a lovely original old building to stay in.We opted for the slightly higher priced premier rooms in the original building. Most of the other rooms are in an annexe adjoining the original building. Anyway, the room was spacious. The main original hotel is a little tired decor wise but no complaints from the price paid - the service was great, and the place has a rare charm. Lots of shops and amenities nearby - 3 minute car drive.

My preferred choice in the Manchester area. Nice rooms, decent sized car park, a mile walk to the tram stop. Friendly staff; although on this occasion didn’t partake of breakfast, in the past this has been a nice meal.

last min booking - would not return. pre paid for b’fast - was not advised of time served nor quoted on any information at reception desk - 10:10 Sun am to be told b’fast ended at 10am. so left having nothing - will be requesting our money is refunded for this. reception desk at Hotel not always manned so difficult to get info you may need. Staff that we met were very friendly. Bed linen/towels clean & room lovely and warm but even thought booked superior double in desperate needed of refresh/repairs. Photos show in good state of repair/decor but that is not the case :-(

Very good value for money, the bed was very comfortable, and the room was very warm which was great as I stayed there during the snow and freezing conditions that week. The mini fridge wasn't that cold but still done the job. Only negative parts was no towel change for over a week and room wasn't hoovered as far as I could see, but again, you get what you pay for and in my opinion this hotel was very good value for money, plus they still advertise that hotel has a bar, it hasn't been in use since covid I was informed. 8/10

We had a pleasant stay despite the hotel being in a poor rundown state, our room was fine, it was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was made to order and hot! The one member of staff we saw the day before mowing the grass, checked us in AND served us at breakfast needs praising. He was polite and attentive.

As per other reviews the hotel is great for a short 1 to 2 night stay. The twin room was comfortable, but the deco was tired. Stayed for 2 nights, towels weren't changed, nor bins emptied! On the plus side there was a microwave and fridge in the room. Had breakfast both mornings. Full English at cost of £10.95, which was nice. In short hotel is ok for a short stay.

The staff were exceptionally helpful. There was a slight heating issue which they sorted very quickly. The hotel is clean, but a bit old fashioned in décor, the bathrooms are modern though. Breakfast is worth the extra. The free parking is a bonus.

Staff was nice but considering this was ment to be a superior room it was well below what I’d expect even in a standard room very dated, ripped wallpaper stained carpets dirt in drawers the only positive I have is bed was comfy and bedding was very clean

Hotel moet dringend worden vernieuwd! Kamer nochtans ruim, licht en vrij netjes. Koelkast, microgolfoven, koffie en thee aanwezig. Gratis parkeren.

My room was very nice and comfortable. It had all what I basically needed, WiFi, TV, iron, microwave, kettle, fridge. Wish the fridge was more cooler. The bed was so comfortable and soft carpet. Lots of cupboard space and decent size table, opening window. Bathroom was good, shower was so relaxing. I wish I could have mix taps or a basin plug which it didn't and shaving was a little awkward with no mixed water. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommended. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. A couple of nights there was a big disturbance and fight between other guests and too much shouting and screaming, which after two nights disappeared. Behaviour of guests is not the owners fault.

We arrived expecting to stay in the main building.. the guy on reception was very friendly and tried to help as much as possible .. however we were shown to a run down annexe at the back.. nothing like the photos on Hotel.com. The room overlooked a broken fence , the beds were very springy.. One of the bulbs was missing in the bedside light, when the guy tried to replace it, it tripped the switch so we were plunged into darkness.. In the grimy bathroom the water in the shower was tepid.. we were told it was due to the hotel being fully booked and a demand on the boiler. So we conceded to shower in the morning, bad mistake as it was then ice cold.. The TV pixilated on most of the channels.. We couldn’t wait to leave the place…never again.
