Hotel is located 2 to 3 miles from Norwich city centre. Plenty of car parking available. Buses 28, 29 and 29X all leave near Asda to the city centre. Buses are frequent. Staff at reception and in the bar were all very pleasant. Room was very clean, as was the ensuite. It was very quiet at night, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast had lots of hot and cold food options. Plenty of hot and cold beverages available too. Overall, I would definitely recommend staying at Mercure Norwich.

Arrived early and the lady on reception arranged for our room to be made up to allow us to check in, above and beyond service. Lovely room and we were lucky to have air con on the hottest day of the year. Bar area nice we didn't eat so can't rate the food. Only slight niggle was there was no outside area to enjoy the sun

We stayed at this hotel as visiting family, city centre is close but unsure of time. The hotel was well positioned for us and easy accessible to major roads, loads of free parking. Staff and breakfast were great, we spoke to the ladies cleaning the room and very helpful. Parts of the room and hotel were slightly dated but the hotel and room was very clean and tidy. I would recommend.

Staff at the hotel were friendly and efficient. Bar and restaurant quite pleasant. However, the rest of the hotel hasn’t been decorated or renewed for many years. So rooms were a good size but old fashioned. Carpets worn and bare in places. No lift to the first floor. However, the most disappointing part of the hotel was the function room. Still stuck in the 80s but with added Christmas decoration. Fairly lights on show, Christmas decs in the ceiling and huge red bows around the bar area. Overall stay was ok but wouldn’t rush back

The drinks in the bar were expensive therefore it was quiet with no ambience. The whole hotel could do with refurbishment. There was no lift. The shelf the hairdryer was on was dusty and the bag containing the hairdryer also.

Although we paid to upgrade our room, it was a large room but, it only had one chair, so one of us had to sit on the bed. Also, the toilet did not flush properly, the security chain on the door was broken and the bolt would not lock the door, lucky you need a key card to enter. The staff were, however excellent, I hope they sorted out terppm issues after we left.

Check-in was efficient, and breakfast was decent and good value. However, our stay was disturbed by a birthday party taking place two floors below our two rooms, which lasted until midnight. The music and noise were so loud that we were unable to sleep until the party ended. When we called Reception, we were told there was nothing they could do. We would expect the hotel to manage such situations better, as the comfort of overnight guests should not be compromised by events held on the premises.

Check-in was efficient, and breakfast was decent and good value. However, our stay was disturbed by a birthday party taking place two floors below our two rooms, which lasted until midnight. The music and noise were so loud that we were unable to sleep until the party ended. When we called Reception, we were told there was nothing they could do. Hotel is located 2 to 3 miles from Norwich city centre. Plenty of car parking available. Buses 28, 29 and 29X all leave near Asda to the city centre. Buses are frequent. Staff at reception and in the bar were all very pleasant. Room was very clean, as was the ensuite. It was very quiet at night, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast had lots of hot and cold food options. Plenty of hot and cold beverages available too. Overall, I would definitely recommend staying at Mercure Norwich.

Welcomed by Abbie and was very clear in her communication. Room was clean and tidy. Breakfast was just right to set us up for the day. Good location for local university campus.

The mercure’s rooms are comfortable, have air conditions, lovely bed, and Nespresso coffee in them. The staff were very friendly and helpful. To go into town in the evening you do need to use the cab service (details at reception) The hotel is an older building in an industrial estate.

We stayed at this hotel as visiting family, city centre is close but unsure of time. The hotel was well positioned for us and easy accessible to major roads, loads of free parking. Staff and breakfast were great, we spoke to the ladies cleaning the room and very helpful. Parts of the room and hotel were slightly dated but the hotel and room was very clean and tidy. I would recommend.

Plenty of parking. Friendly and helpful receptionist. Room was a good size, very comfortable bed. Breakfast selection was excellent.

No tea making facilities in the room. Only one chair for two people. Dinner was rubbish, a bought-in pie with de-frosted peas, and a much depleted wine list. Overall the hotel gave the impression that it was past its best and had no wish to improve it. A dump, in other words.

Room was ok as hotels go. Basic but clean with everything we needed. Breakfast was disappointing. Cooked food looked as if it had been standing for hours. They ran out of butter on the first day so we couldn't have toast. Second day said the same but when i complained miraculously butter appeared. Cold food ham cheese and fruit were from the day before and was dry and brown. Couple onthe next table were told it was fresh but it wasn't

Our wedding anniversary trip. They upgraded our room to a suite free of charge. Rooms are a bit tired but comfortable. Breakfast ok ish bacon was tough and orange juice was squash. Not what you expect for £13. Would I stay again ? Possibly but not breakfast

The drinks in the bar were expensive therefore it was quiet with no ambience. The whole hotel could do with refurbishment. There was no lift. The shelf the hairdryer was on was dusty and the bag containing the hairdryer also.

We enjoyed our stay, staff were very polite and helpful, breakfast was very good, room was clean and tidy but some areas of the hotel could do with some refurbishing.

The hotel room was very clean and fresh lovely air conditioning which enabled me to have a good nights sleep The receptionist Georgie was very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble a professional member of staff. Would definitely return

First impressions very dated and in need of attention. Carpets on landing shabby and walls marked especially in our room. Toilet flush needed attention, bath was grimy, washed soap trays ourselves. Breakfast was poor and not very nice. Bed and pillows were ok Noisy outside and inside. Staff in restaurant and reception were pleasant Overall if I’d paid for a cheap hotel I’d have expected some of the issues but I paid £130 for night with breakfast and feel robbed. Glad it was only one night and would say avoid if possible.

Staff were very pleasant. Room was clean and comfortable, no milk to be able to make tea or coffee in the room. Everything worked but is very dated everywhere, carpets looked like something out of a 70s horror movie. Breakfast, we went down at about 9am, and I think most of the food had been sitting under the heaters for quite a while as my eggs were hard and the black pudding was like eating pebbles. We didn't use the restaurant in the evening, but id heard good things. Overall it's ok but unless you get a cheap price you're better off with a premier inn.
