Really enjoyable stay. Good sized room and it was very comfortable. Sheets and towels changed daily. Friendly and hard working staff. External woodwork- eaves etc in need of maintenance and decoration and interior woodwork needs renewing but we understand the hotel has recently been purchased and this will be resolved over time. Loved sitting on the outside terrace and taking in the view of the sea. We tried The Mariner pub which is attached next door and found the food good but staff unfriendly.

Welcomed at reception on arrival. Staff very helpful and friendly. Room was very clean an well presented. Bed very comfortable and the en-suite was very good. Great food in the Pub and lovely breakfast in the Hotel dining room. Outside areas are great with lovely sea views. Check out the Garden Coffee House and the short walk to the beach. We'll be back!

Very pleasant hotel a suitable distance from the newer part of Hunstanton, but still easily walkable. On site food at the hotel and the Mariner next door was nice and reasonably priced. The 'Wash beach' was 100m from the hotel and easily accessible. All in all a nice peaceful place.

Generally good,nice room with view. Windows were single glazed and not fitting to well so were drafty. Food and drink over priced but that's hotel's for you. Sadly bar service was poor had to go in Search of staff when you wanted a drink. No telephone for room service.

I really liked this hotel. Our ground floor room had a patio area from where you could see the sea. The room was clean and well set out, and there were 3 dining options. The beach could be accessed via the sand dunes at the bottom of the garden or via a footpath at the entrance to the car park. The sand dunes are challenging for anyone with walking difficulties. On balance, though, a lovely hotel, away from the busyness of Hunstanton.

I enjoyed my stay , HOWEVER the room was stifling, the shower didnt drain away, the cooked breakfast was only adequate( staff were great!) And all this on top of the fact i paid an exhorbitant price for it( over £300 for ONE night)just because i had the audacity to want to go to a concert in the area!!!

Our first stay in Le Strange, our room had an excellent view over the dunes and the sea. We understand it has been recently taken over and a refurb will be underway. Our bathroom had already been refurbished- would have liked a heated towel rail. Our bedroom was in need of redecorating- furniture was fine. We liked eating in the conservatory and the staff were friendly and worked well. The bar and lounges were fine as are the outside seating area. Could do with a few more Mobility parking spaces. We will return definitely.

This hotel is due to close for refurbishment and it’s long overdue! The staff were fantastic but the room was tired, with wall paper coming away in places and very draughty windows. Dispite having the radiator on full it was still chilly in our room. Breakfast on the first morning disappointing, the bacon was just about cooked and fatty whilst the egg was “snotty”. The second morning was totally different and cooked beautifully. I’m assuming different chefs? I look forward to returning once the upgrade has been completed as long as the prices don’t rocket!

We loved the sea view in our room. It was big and spacious. Clean and comfortable. It was also boiling hot in our room, there was a fan but it didn’t work and the kettle in the room needed replacing the lid kept coming off. These are very very small things. We would definitely stay again. Its right next to the best beach, its abit old fashioned but still lovely.

Enjoyed our stay had a nice view from our room over the sea. The only problem was we had a room with a bath instead of a shower which would of been better as I have a bad wrist injury.

Large, comfortable room with a big bathroom too! Beautiful sea view with gorgeous sunset. Lovely relaxing stay, unwinding whilst watching the sun go down. Staff were all friendly, helpful and relaxed. Stress free stay!

We had a sea view room which was very pleasant. It was spacious and everything worked satisfactorily. Perhaps the shower was a little bit on the high side but, understandably, this is an old building and, no doubt, will be updated in due course! Our only gripe was that on the Monday night of our stay we had dinner in the hotel restaurant - the menu was very limited but we assumed that what was on offer would be of good quality as befitting the price of the meal. It was ghastly! We did comment but with little meaningful response. At check out we made the point again but the hotel actually added a service charge. Deplorable.

Everyone was friendly. Had to carry bags up/down two floors without a lift. Chilly as it was outside, the room never cooled down: opening the window, using the noisy fan, nothing worked. And don’t let Hotels.com fool you: not all rooms have ocean views and the hotel does not distinguish on reservations.

Hotel right next to the beach and we had a room with a balcony and sea view so it was lovely. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only had breakfast but the food was very good. Would definitely recommend

Very pleasant hotel a suitable distance from the newer part of Hunstanton, but still easily walkable. On site food at the hotel and the Mariner next door was nice and reasonably priced. The 'Wash beach' was 100m from the hotel and easily accessible. All in all a nice peaceful place.

A lovely one night stay this weekend with my boyfriend! No major complaints about the property and the staff were lovely! The only thing I would say is that the decor is quite old-fashioned and it could do with an update and some personality in the bedrooms, but aside from that we had an excellent stay. We stayed in room number 123 and it was a large room, much larger than I anticipated! It was clean and had a lovely sea view. The location was convenient for us, you are right on the seafront so the beach is within walking distance. Hunstanton is around a 30 minute walk away, or 5 minutes by car. We didn’t use any of the hotel facilities, so I cannot comment on that. A great place to stay if you are in the area, we will definitely be returning in the future.

Welcomed at reception on arrival. Staff very helpful and friendly. Room was very clean an well presented. Bed very comfortable and the en-suite was very good. Great food in the Pub and lovely breakfast in the Hotel dining room. Outside areas are great with lovely sea views. Check out the Garden Coffee House and the short walk to the beach. We'll be back!

We stayed at this lovely hotel for 2 nights while visiting the area for The Who concert last weekend. It was an excellent stay with a warm friendly welcome. The rooms were very spacious and spotlessly clean with amazing views of the beach. We had a delicious evening meal the first evening and the breakfasts were really filling with a wide choice to suit all. The location is beautiful and also very peaceful, would definitely recommend and we would love to return.

The Staff are wonderful. Our room was very nice. The only item we find difficult is the cost of breakfast (£18 each) but there are choices outside of the Hotel. Apart from that we always choose the Hotel and will continue to do so - in 4 weeks we'll be back.

This hotel is due to close for refurbishment and it’s long overdue! The staff were fantastic but the room was tired, with wall paper coming away in places and very draughty windows. Dispite having the radiator on full it was still chilly in our room. Breakfast on the first morning disappointing, the bacon was just about cooked and fatty whilst the egg was “snotty”. The second morning was totally different and cooked beautifully. I’m assuming different chefs? I look forward to returning once the upgrade has been completed as long as the prices don’t rocket!

Generally good,nice room with view. Windows were single glazed and not fitting to well so were drafty. Food and drink over priced but that's hotel's for you. Sadly bar service was poor had to go in Search of staff when you wanted a drink. No telephone for room service.

Our second visit to this hotel which is in a great location with access to the beach at Old Hunstanton, but also a pleasant walk into Hunstanton if you preferred. A lovely setting for a hotel and we had opted for a sea view which was great and worth the extra price. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast each morning was delicious and cooked to your order each day, plenty of choice if you prefer cereals, fruit, yoghurt etc. Rooms were really clean and towels and bedding changed frequently. The hotel is showing signs of wear and tear in places which is sad as you can see what a magnificent hotel it has been in the past. Hopefully someone will spend the time and money on it to bring it all back to its full potential. We will be back.

Stayed one night with breakfast. It's a traditional hotel right on the beach. Our room was good but a tad noisy because of a generator outside. Breakfast was expensive. Perhaps go to have that at cafe next door. Staff were helpful and friendly.

We booked a last minute break, the room we were assigned was on the second floor with a side sea view. Also overlooking the rear beach car park. The room was quite dated, with a fusty smell. This could be overcome by opening one of 3 windows. The window frames were flaking and 1 pane was broken. The shower was good with lots of hot water. The conditioner bottle in the shower was sadly empty. Breakfast was a little old fashioned but quite good quality. The cooked breakfast and the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs were excellent. The newly refurbished mariners arms is still finding its feet. A great location but needs better service. You have to order drinks and food at the bar. Car park signage quite confusing if you have never been before, this could be improved on a welcome message. Not obvious if you have to pay £10 as hotel guests.
