This was a one night stay for work. Automated check-in, but still staff on hand to help. Room comfortable with ensuite and good shower. Wifi was average, TV in room was okay. Not a large evening menu and last orders for food is 8:45pm. Not a huge dining area. Free car park (need to register your vehicle). I had breakfast included in my price. This was a buffet breakfast with hot and cold options.

Booked through the app looking for somewhere to stop over for the night . A little tricky finding the place especially as it is so close to car dealerships and on a challenging roundabout . That apart the hotel looks welcoming from the car park ( which has 4 electric car charging points , not that we needed one ) . Warm welcome at reception and easy check-in . Room on first floor (203) , nice condition and really comfy bed and a great nights sleep especially after a nice hot bath . We enjoyed a good evening meal in the restaurant although you pay at the table before your food was delivered . We had fish and chips and a tasty burger with fries with a nice cold pint of Madri and chilled rose wine . Breakfast was excellent although some fresh fruit would have been nice , it was good with proper coffee too . A real nice stop over and would recommend this place to all travellers.

On arrival, we checked in using the self service check-in points which was a straight forward process and your room access card is issued form the check in point on completion. Immediately adjacent to the check in point is an electronic tablet to register and confirm your vehicle registration and length of stay. Again this was a simple process and if you don't do it you will be charged for parking. The room was easily located and on entry everything was at hand. We had a two night stay, the bedding was clean and the bed comfortable. The bathroom clean and bright. Water was always hot and readily available. My only negative would be the room lighting, there is a light positioned on entering the room and two bedside lights but a central ceiling or additional stand light would have improved the room. The darkness was in part due to the trees which surround the hotel and are relatively close to the building at the rear of the hotel. We ordered breakfast and found everything to be available, hot and edible with a choice of cereals, fruit and hot drinks. Staff were polite and helpful when we used the bar or required additional information. So for a short stay this was a great location.

Good points: spacious, clean room; excellent shower; good TV; on-site bar & restaurant; ample parking; convenient location for local road network. Not so good points: while the staff were minimum-level helpful they weren't notably welcoming or smiley (maybe that's what you have to expect these days at this price point); the breakfast was disappointing, especially the cooked items, some of which were clearly undercooked. The minimal staff were unable to keep up with demand for some of the cooked items - which either meant going without or a lengthy wait.

great value for money ideal if you are at a concert or visiting Sandringham Estate like we were. The only down fall was we couldn't get anything to eat at the hotel before we headed to the concert we were told restaurant opened at 2pm only to hang around then told it would be 4pm otherwise it would of be perfect for our requirements

Spacey, clean, good room good bathroom. Breakfast plenty of it usual offering for UK.... Plenty of parking, keenly priced, location reflects that as its ontskirts not walkable for evening activities....... But would recommend.

A really nice, quiet, clean, friendly place to stay. Given its location near a busy interchange I can’t believe you don’t hear traffic noise. Set in lovely grounds it has loads of parking and 8 Tesla charge stations. Breakfast was a nice buffet style and the coffee machine provides a good choice too. The only issue we had was the self service check in, it gave us the room card but didn’t print the room number or directions! Thankfully they still have someone at reception who could scan the card, tell us our room number and give us directions. Other than that small issue it was a great stay and thoroughly recommended.

We were visiting family so know the area well and were delighted to find The Dragonfly. Clean & comfortable room, nice bar facility, with the bonus of outside seating. The menu choice was good & and a lovely buffet breakfast to start the day. We will be back!

Remember to book your car in otherwise you’ll get a parking ticket, stayed many times, staff alway helpful and friendly, foods not the best and the bar now closes early 😞 it’s a long way from its heyday,

Disappointing. Needs telephones in the room to contact reception when there are issues in the night. Needs recarpeting as damp evident along the corridors. Remote control had buttons missing. Bathroom door couldn't shut. Confetti on the bathroom floor so not cleaned well.

Room was spotless. Had everything we could need. Comfy bed. Very good shower. Big tv, kettle and hostess tray. Very dark at night and no noise. Breakfast was excellent. Can’t fault it.

Stopped overnight. Had late check-in which wasn’t a problem. Room clean & comfortable. Only negative is it smelt damp/musky so had window open a lot. Don’t know if that was because we were on ground floor or not. Breakfast was good.

Very Poor Standard i get its only 3 stars but this should be at best only 2. the property is in a very poor stat of cleanliness with visible dust everywhere in public areas. Very poor-quality carpets in public areas. No house keeping at all over a 2-week period, when I understand you want to protect your staff however there are no government regulation advising that you don’t clean a hotel room or hotel to a decent standard. Staff although dressed mostly in inappropriate clothing are not friendly. all see more interested in social media and chatting to colleagues Surya hotels need to take a close look at this property.There are basic standards you expect when travelling and staying at one of your hotels and I’m afraid this property does not meet those standards. The gentleman on breakfast is to busy gossiping to actually make sure the poor standard of breakfast has basic things like bows and cutlery available. To sum this up when I’m next in kings Lynn I would rather stay at a premier inn or travel lodge which are better standards than this

Have stayed at dragon about 3 times this time we in room 117 and the carpet smelled it could really do with a deep clean. The sugar bowl was dirty so obviously just repeatedly filled but not washed. The bathroom was very clean though. The staff were ok and it’s well placed to get to Cromer & Hunstanton

Seems like a lovely little place, decorated nicely and the staff seem pleasant. We stayed in room 114 with a baby, however, the room itself and the hallway from room 100 onwards - had an awful damp smell which is completely noticeable all day/night, I would of hoped that a booking with an infant below 1 they may have not put us in a room in that state. We tried to keep the window open to help but it didn’t do much as they don’t open much. We did also request a room change but were fully booked. We’ve come home and unfortunately all our items of clothing, including our baby cot & bags have the smell now too. The room was clean & as stated before the staff were welcoming & pleasant, so otherwise it was a nice stay just let down by the smell.

Everything was great. Check in fast and polite, room clean and nice bathroom with lovely shower, WiFi fast, TV channels easily selectable and bed comfy and breakfast was good. Definitely come back.

Slightly better, albeit more expensive, than the local competitor, Premier. Wifi is a bit flakey at times. Food is adequate but not great. However, it's comfortable, quiet, clean, staff are pleasant and the room was fine. Nice watching the multitide of rabbits outside on the lawn. Maybe add leporine pie to the specials menu??

Check in and out was quick and staff friendly and helpful. Our room was quiet, clean and had a bathtub as well as shower, always a plus however the plug didn’t sit firmly and the bath water seeped out. Storage was limited however not a problem due to staying only overnight but the iron and ironing board was a useful tool. The reason for 3 stars rating was mainly due to the room being so hot and the supplied fan was noisy disturbing sleep either because it was hot when off and noisy when on. The bed was comfortable and kettle with tea and coffee was welcome, thank you. We ate dinner in the hotel dining room and the food was fine and service good. Breakfast choices were limited however sufficient for our needs.

Very nice hotel, quiet are, big spacious rooms, and the bath tub was a plus. Nice quiet bar, with enough drinks to choose from. Now the bad points... Bath tub plug was broken, so couldn't make a bath, just shower. Breakfast defo not worth the money.

Lovely, quiet hotel with a clean room. The downside was the lack of lighting. The room was at the back with extremely tall trees blocking all natural light. There is no central ceiling light in the room leaving it very dim and for those of us who have poor eyesight this does not help. Also the no servicing rooms policy meant that the bins were left overflowing with food in them and we had to ask for toilet roll as we were there Friday-Monday and we were not provided with enough. Having said that we enjoyed our stay, we had a lovely breakfast every morning and a very nice meal on our first night. The staff were very friendly too.
Lovely, quiet hotel with a clean room. The downside was the lack of lighting. The room was at the back with extremely tall trees blocking all natural light. There is no central ceiling light in the room leaving it very dim and for those of us who have poor eyesight this does not help. Also the no servicing rooms policy meant that the bins were left overflowing with food in them and we had to ask for toilet roll as we were there Friday-Monday and we were not provided with enough. Having said that we enjoyed our stay, we had a lovely breakfast every morning and a very nice meal on our first night. The staff were very friendly too.

Super. Best nights sleep in a hotel for years. Nice big TV, excellent broadband, brilliant shower and spare soft pillows, good food and drink. I don’t usually do reviews but this hotel was lovely.

A lovely hotel in a nice location. Disappointed about the breakfast as there was only 1 person cooking and looking after the breakfast area, resulting in the hotel running out of hot food, as it was too much for her to do the cooking and keeping an eye on hot food in the buffet area. Running out of bread for toast, bacon running out, baked beans running out. Only scrambled eggs in buffet and need to asked for scrambled eggs

This is the second time we have stayed at a dragonfly hotel. The first time was in Bury St Edmunds. I found check- in very impersonal staff standing there but you had to check in via a computer. You walked in and staff basically ignored you ! We were struggling with the machine and a member of staff did come to assist but l don’t come to a hotel to do it yourself. Might as well stay in a caravan or a tent! There was only 4 teabags. In the room. They knew we were staying 3 nights are quick to point out they only clean room after 5th day so no room service. Every time we needed teabags had to Ask person at the desk . In most hotels they are in reception so you don’t have to keep begging for them. Most of the staff were as miserable as sin. Lastly we were in room 102 and the carpet was very smelly. It is in a good position to travel around Norfolk but l wouldn’t stay here again.

Good points: spacious, clean room; excellent shower; good TV; on-site bar & restaurant; ample parking; convenient location for local road network. Not so good points: while the staff were minimum-level helpful they weren't notably welcoming or smiley (maybe that's what you have to expect these days at this price point); the breakfast was disappointing, especially the cooked items, some of which were clearly undercooked. The minimal staff were unable to keep up with demand for some of the cooked items - which either meant going without or a lengthy wait.

Check in was great. My room stank of damp so I went back to reception to ask to change but there wasn’t a spare room available. I asked for a refund if they can’t give me a clean room which the Manager wouldn’t do. He said the room isn’t damp it’s just the wet carpet from a previous leak. At this point if he knew there was wet carpet and the room was bad he should’ve not let it out. I told him I’m not staying in there and said he should try it. Apparently there was a no-show from the previous night so the manager decided to put me in that room. Although that was the decision he moaned that he’d have to make my room into a double and clean the damp room I was in. Again if he knew the room was unsuitable he should have reacted and cleaned it. A damp room is clearly a health issue with spores potentially growing. I went to the restaurant to have my meal while the Not Fit To Be Customer Facing Manger stormed off and sorted the rooms. After getting into my new room which was fine apart from a strangely placed 1950’s Goldsmith & Silversmiths of Regent Street butter knife on the desk. Which was dirty. Such a weird find. Food was good and the rest of the staff were great and attentive. Manager diabolical on customer services.

Unfortunately as we had travelled by train we were limited to using the buses to get into King's Lynn which was quite a good service but was a long 20/25 minutes walk to the bus stop from the hotel. Everything about the hotel was excellent. Friendly, helpful staff and very clean throughout. Delicious food

Spacey, clean, good room good bathroom. Breakfast plenty of it usual offering for UK.... Plenty of parking, keenly priced, location reflects that as its ontskirts not walkable for evening activities....... But would recommend.

My Ex wife was unexpectedly admitted to the local hospital which is literally less than a mile up the road. Hence the choice rather than Premier Inn or Travelodge. It also looked more appealing when I looked at it on line before booking. Very pleased with my choice.

Great hotel, friendly staff, quiet, comfortable,and clean. Shower was great , the water was nice and hot. Food in the restaurant was fantastic, drinks at the bar are on the expensive side, breakfast was amazing would really have liked tomatoes though. Only stayed 1 night but would happily return.

Room was spotless. Had everything we could need. Comfy bed. Very good shower. Big tv, kettle and hostess tray. Very dark at night and no noise. Breakfast was excellent. Can’t fault it.

Booked through the app looking for somewhere to stop over for the night . A little tricky finding the place especially as it is so close to car dealerships and on a challenging roundabout . That apart the hotel looks welcoming from the car park ( which has 4 electric car charging points , not that we needed one ) . Warm welcome at reception and easy check-in . Room on first floor (203) , nice condition and really comfy bed and a great nights sleep especially after a nice hot bath . We enjoyed a good evening meal in the restaurant although you pay at the table before your food was delivered . We had fish and chips and a tasty burger with fries with a nice cold pint of Madri and chilled rose wine . Breakfast was excellent although some fresh fruit would have been nice , it was good with proper coffee too . A real nice stop over and would recommend this place to all travellers.

Slightly better, albeit more expensive, than the local competitor, Premier. Wifi is a bit flakey at times. Food is adequate but not great. However, it's comfortable, quiet, clean, staff are pleasant and the room was fine. Nice watching the multitide of rabbits outside on the lawn. Maybe add leporine pie to the specials menu??

Check in and out was quick and staff friendly and helpful. Our room was quiet, clean and had a bathtub as well as shower, always a plus however the plug didn’t sit firmly and the bath water seeped out. Storage was limited however not a problem due to staying only overnight but the iron and ironing board was a useful tool. The reason for 3 stars rating was mainly due to the room being so hot and the supplied fan was noisy disturbing sleep either because it was hot when off and noisy when on. The bed was comfortable and kettle with tea and coffee was welcome, thank you. We ate dinner in the hotel dining room and the food was fine and service good. Breakfast choices were limited however sufficient for our needs.

Remember to book your car in otherwise you’ll get a parking ticket, stayed many times, staff alway helpful and friendly, foods not the best and the bar now closes early 😞 it’s a long way from its heyday,

I booked this specifically to include a cooked breakfast as my husband always likes this, unfortunately the breakfast was quite limited, no mushrooms or tomato’s or hash browns or choice of egg. Cereals were limited too and only one flavour of yoghurt. It is a good basic breakfast just not what we were expecting from previous reviews. I would say that the staff were more than helpful and went that extra mile to help with any query, they were all pleasant and friendly and made you very welcome. The rooms were fine and clean, wardrobe space small , but perfectly adequate for a couple of days

We were put into a room with an unbearable smelly bathroom. We asked to change and the 2 nd room was only slightly better. The breakfast offering was poor ( undercooked sausages no tomatoes, mushrooms or hash browns. , tiny croissants and the restaurant was very very hot.
