Cabin 6 Mi to Burr Trail, 32 Mi to Escalante!

I just wish there was air conditioning at this location. It was hot in the evenings and the windows were wide open but we still had trouble sleeping. It is a beautiful place and a hidden gem but really needs air conditioning. We also unclogged two toilets when we first got there....not sure what that was about but it was not an issue as we stayed. There is a really good restaurant close to this place ...Burr Trail. Would have been nice to know that this is really remote and you should bring everything you want to eat and drink in. We wanted to get ice cream for the pies that we got at Captital Reef Park and it was 15.00 for a half gallon at the local grocery store....everything was extremely expensive there.

We had a great stay in this comfortable, clean cabin! Especially appreciated the well provisioned kitchen which had everything we needed to cook meals in, including sharp knives which is a rarity in most rentals!

We enjoyed our 3 night stay in Grandpa's Cabin. There was plenty of room for our family to sleep and hang out. It was nice that there is a separate family area and kitchen area. Our group could be watching a movie at one end of the house and the rest of us were playing games at the kitchen table. There is a very well stocked kitchen with pot/pans, dishware and utensils, kitchen mixer, insta-pot, coffee maker, toaster and more. We were able to easily make our own meals during our stay. You will need to bring your own shampoo and body wash, but there are plenty of towels and washcloths for the bathrooms. It was also nice to have a washer/dryer to use after a day of hiking. Overall, we were happy with the cabin and its location.
