The best thing about this hotel are the superb, diligent hard working staff. The entertainment for the children under 9 are superb. Our little one has many fond memories of our break in Jersey, thanks to the wonderful facilities and the staff who deliver exceptional service.

Large hotel with lots of facility's. Fantastic swimming pool, numerous bars& restaurants, entertainment for all ages. Not a sea front hotel but in a nice location & a nice walk through the park to town & buses.

It has a great location if you want to walk in to town, clean, lovely staff. But it is a big hotel! Swimming pool closes at 6pm even though it was June. Bar area lacks any sort of atmosphere. Guests mainly in their 70s, piano playing in the evening but didnt turn off the back ground music when they were playing so it was a bit of a racket. Breakfast was ok, but rather than bring you a tea pot or coffee pot you have to queue with everyone else to make a cup from one of the two machines. Not sure if I would stay again. Could be better.

Arrived at hotel 26 hours late due to electrical fault on plane so lost first day / night so was put down as no show .Allocated room which we though was dated but clean and comfortable Headed straight to the pool which is straight across the road but sadly it closes @6pm Booked big joes cafe but very busy and clearly not enough staff waited almost 1hour for food which was just average ,chicken overcooked so didn’t eat it at this point we were all exhausted so went back to our room Pool area very good kids love it spent the full day there does get very busy ,plenty eats to buy Surfing pool a bit of a rip off costs £30 each-and most of the time is spent on instruction cos each person gets individual guidance of 15 mins while the others in the group stand around 6 persons to the group. Breakfast plentiful and everything for a breakfast cooked or continental gets very busy ,staff very efficient . A little out of the way but taxis and buses go up to liberation square where there are buses around the island and to and from airport Enjoyed the weekend but would give it a miss the next time

All the amenities available for all ages. Spacious and only 15 minutes walk to the shops in St. Helier The staff were most helpful and friendly. The food was amazing with lots of choice, especially breakfast. Great entertainment!

What a great place, very clean, super friendly staff, plenty of parking, amazing shower, nice beds and clean, amazing food/restaurants, brill entertainment including for the kids and nice swimming pool. My favourite thing was that we had family and friends come to visit us, they had dinner and drinks with us at the hotel and were given free parking. Small arcade that kept the kids entertained too. Also really enjoyed listening to the piano player one evening. I would definitely return

This is a comfortable and inviting hotel and it's really well placed for beach front and town (town being an enjoyable 10 min walk via Howard Davis Park). Rooms are spacious and the hotel is immaculate at all times. Bars and communal areas are pleasant spaces to enjoy a drink and something to eat. Restaurants are good. Entertainment was good fun. Mostly just did breakfast buffet which had lots of choice and was well presented. We only did one buffet evening meal but it was absolutely fantastic. However, the thing that makes this hotel special is the staff. They are ALL, very friendly, welcoming and polite and it makes it such a pleasant place to be. Well done The Merton. Your staff are an absolute credit to you at all times.

Had a great stay. Rooms are clean and spacious. The food was excellent particularly for a buffet style offering. The staff were amazing, very attentive, helpful and always smiling.

Great hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Rooms are cleaned to a high standard with good amenities. There are a huge variety of bars and entertainment. There is no air conditioning but a good sized tower fan is provided in the room. My only criticism is that I was informed by restaurant staff that breakfast was avalible at 7am and they open earlier than the advertised 7:30am, so I arranged my taxi accordingly to get to the airport after a swift breakfast. Upon checkout at 6:55 the desk staff kept repeating it was 7:30 breakfast, and therefore I would not be able to have any before my taxi. Seems like a breakdown in communication between all parties, as I was informed by multiple staff it was 7am. A bit of a sour end to the trip, it was a shame as the breakfast buffet is fantastic and the chefs and restaurant staff are so friendly.

What a wonderful hotel! Myself and my son had the best stay here, he absolutely loved being able to go to the swimming pool everyday and thoroughly enjoyed the flow rider experience. Every member of staff we met were super friendly and made the stay comfortable. The evening entertainment had a good balance of activities for the whole family. Breakfast had a great selection of foods and was a welcome addition to the stay so we could fuel up every morning. Everywhere in the hotel was super clean and our room was spotlessly clean each day by Shaun. The hotel is a short 10-15 minute walk into town and easy to do with children. We would certainly come back!!!!

Lovely hotel, plenty of activities for families, lovely pool. Staff very friendly and nothing too much trouble. Very clean. Only thing that could be better is if rooms had air con as it was 25+ during our stay and the room fan and open windowns wasn't quite enough for a cool nights sleep. Food esp breakfast was fantastic.

Nice hotel. 15 min walk to town centre. Good pool for relaxing and large carpark. Beds are quite firm and no air con in rooms. But other than that comfortable stay. Would stay again

My family and i had a lovely stay at the Merton hotel. It was well placed and the service was great. We used the pool every day and the kids loved it. It would be nice if the water was a little more warmer, but it was not bad. The staff were super helpful and polite. The included breakfast was really good and had something for everybody. I we ate in the Bar twice and both time the food was good. We used the members card which gave us a 15% discount. We also used the Jersey Joes Burger restaurant. While i would say there was no issue for the food, i would have to say it was quite over priced. The Burgers was no better than sometime i could pick up from a cafe for half the price. I do think the rooms could do with a bit of modernising, they felt a little tired, but they were very clean. A few more plug sockets or some USB ports would be very handy. We had a Family room, which had a separate bunk room and a small fridge. This was really good in our eyes. Overall it was a very nice place to stay, but I can’t give it 5 stars

The on-site facilities were really good. I’m glad because it’s the reason why we booked this hotel! The room was better than I expected However showing signs of age with poor water pressure in the shower. The beds were really comfortable although the pillows were really heavy and quite hard. Staff couldn’t have been friendlier, The meal portions are massive in fact too much! really loved the American diner, Probably the best meal we had in jersey. The entertainment was great. Definitely would come back. Would be nice to see some rooms with a more premium feel

A little out of the way but taxis and buses go up to liberation square where there are buses around the island and to and from airport Enjoyed the weekend but would give it a miss the next time

Generally I was happy with my stay. Breakfasts were busy and queuing a usual. A fridge in room with socket outlets to charge phone would have been good . Prefer a walk in shower preferred rather than bath with shower over but reasonable accessible. Some structure borne sound from room above and corridor. Good facilities for children.

Everything and everyone was amazing and the staff were exceptional. The only complaint I have is the rooms are not air conditioned and there isn’t enough plugs in the room and no usb to charge your devices. The rooms do come with fans however with limited plug sockets and the fans have very short leads, the only want I could use the fan is if I unplugged the tv.

Stayed Friday to Sunday in Mid-April. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Ram, who served us when we had dinner in Bonetti's restaurant, was very nice and pleasant. The room was a good size, however the mattress was rather hard, but I still managed to fall asleep, and felt rested in the morning. As mentioned above, we ate at Bonetti's restaurant, where the food was really good. The next day, we had our evening meal at Jersey Joe's, an American style diner a la 50s. The food here, too, was good. The breakfast buffet was also good, with a selection of bacon, sausage, beans, hash browns, and other typical english breakfast food items, along with bread, yogurts, cereals, pancakes, fruit, and pastries. For guests the pool next door is free to use. Great for families, as the indoor pool area is designed for kids. It's a short walk to the beach and also town, via beautiful Howard Davies Park. Well worth a stay.

The best thing about this hotel are the superb, diligent hard working staff. The entertainment for the children under 9 are superb. Our little one has many fond memories of our break in Jersey, thanks to the wonderful facilities and the staff who deliver exceptional service.

Staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast bar was plentiful and food good. Bar food was also very good. Hotel is wheelchair-friendly with entrance ramp as well as inside ramps and accessible lavatories. Property is only 6 minutes from the port by taxi. Good experience overall!

I was in Jersey for business, and despite the hotel being more family/holiday orientated, it was perfect for my needs. The food was good, the staff we’re brilliant; friendly and helpful at all times. The pool area was on the other side of the road from the entrance so you never heard it. Ample parking, and a short walk into town.

Large hotel with lots of facility's. Fantastic swimming pool, numerous bars& restaurants, entertainment for all ages. Not a sea front hotel but in a nice location & a nice walk through the park to town & buses.

It has a great location if you want to walk in to town, clean, lovely staff. But it is a big hotel! Swimming pool closes at 6pm even though it was June. Bar area lacks any sort of atmosphere. Guests mainly in their 70s, piano playing in the evening but didnt turn off the back ground music when they were playing so it was a bit of a racket. Breakfast was ok, but rather than bring you a tea pot or coffee pot you have to queue with everyone else to make a cup from one of the two machines. Not sure if I would stay again. Could be better.

This is a comfortable and inviting hotel and it's really well placed for beach front and town (town being an enjoyable 10 min walk via Howard Davis Park). Rooms are spacious and the hotel is immaculate at all times. Bars and communal areas are pleasant spaces to enjoy a drink and something to eat. Restaurants are good. Entertainment was good fun. Mostly just did breakfast buffet which had lots of choice and was well presented. We only did one buffet evening meal but it was absolutely fantastic. However, the thing that makes this hotel special is the staff. They are ALL, very friendly, welcoming and polite and it makes it such a pleasant place to be. Well done The Merton. Your staff are an absolute credit to you at all times.

All the amenities available for all ages. Spacious and only 15 minutes walk to the shops in St. Helier The staff were most helpful and friendly. The food was amazing with lots of choice, especially breakfast. Great entertainment!

I didn"t like the pricr hike in the restaurant. Sat evening, the Buffet dinner was £21. The following evening, Easter Sun, I was charged a heafty £40 for the same thing - and bloody kids running around (unchallenged.by anyone) all evening. I won't be using that restaurant ever again, even if the food is good.

Great hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Rooms are cleaned to a high standard with good amenities. There are a huge variety of bars and entertainment. There is no air conditioning but a good sized tower fan is provided in the room. My only criticism is that I was informed by restaurant staff that breakfast was avalible at 7am and they open earlier than the advertised 7:30am, so I arranged my taxi accordingly to get to the airport after a swift breakfast. Upon checkout at 6:55 the desk staff kept repeating it was 7:30 breakfast, and therefore I would not be able to have any before my taxi. Seems like a breakdown in communication between all parties, as I was informed by multiple staff it was 7am. A bit of a sour end to the trip, it was a shame as the breakfast buffet is fantastic and the chefs and restaurant staff are so friendly.

The staff were amazing .Bonnetti restaurant was superb beautiful food and excellent service. We saw two top noch cabaret acts and breakfast was excellent. We would highly recommend the Merton for all ages. And we will return.

Such a great hotel, our group age range was from 3 to 70’s and suited all of us. Great location (we don’t mind a walk and the distance was fine for the kids into town) Only thing I would say the hotel needs is air con (we happened to be there on the warmest few days on record) and a fridge in the room to keep drinks cool. Apart from that I would return to the hotel.
