This property could be 5 stars with upgrades, but there are some unfortunate facts. First, the private boat wasn’t running the day we were set to go to the hotel. The hotel sent someone to arrange transfer on the regular ferry, which was fine despite the long line and standing around for 20 minutes. Indeed - this ferry is great if I wasn’t promised a private transfer. The issue was landing at Isla Mujeres, where we had no idea where to go and found our contact after 10 minutes, where he led us to a hot congested line for a taxi. Not having a car available right there was a major annoyance. Another 10 - 15 minutes in line we were finally on our way to the hotel. When we arrived there were no apologies or welcome drinks, which we noticed other guests received the next day when getting off the private boat. We did have a beautiful room facing the ocean, but it was showing its age hidden behind the renovation. There was mold or something else in the bathroom behind the toilet. The other thing was lack of restaurants. Indeed, there is no sit down restaurant open during the day after lunch until dinner. You must eat at a lounge chair. This seemed strange since there were chairs and tables right by the pool for breakfast. The food was generally great, but lacked variety. The beach and pool service were excellent. The dinner on the roof terrace was wonderful, if slightly rushed dinner service. The views and music were incredible. However, it was closed

El personal del hotel era encantador y muy servicial y había un montón de actividades todos los días a las que te podías apuntar en el hotel. El hotel está reformado recientemente. Dicho esto, la ducha salía con súper poca presión y se caía a cachos, las toallas tanto de la piscina como de la playa estaban llenas de manchas, no reponían nunca los snacks del cuarto, los horarios de los restaurantes eran muy limitantes y al haber solo dos era muy repetitiva la cena, los bares de la piscina y la playa cerraban a las 17:30.
El personal del hotel era encantador y muy servicial y había un montón de actividades todos los días a las que te podías apuntar en el hotel. El hotel está reformado recientemente. This is a hotel thats very nice. Beautiful actually. Bed is comfortable, room is super spacious even at the basic level we stayed I gave my rating based off the staff at check in, the room service staff and food quality We never got the welcome drink or explained how the property functions (activities, where to find the lift if the day, room service is by request off your phone, etc). So it was a Learning curve for us as we went to find it what we didn’t know. Then we arrived starving- my partner and I work out a lot and need our meals and life to stay hydrated w water - not drinks and juice and soda - they never wanted ti bring us the two waters each - and half the meals would be missing each room service order - Downstairs restaurant were amazing - staff in those amazing - Lobby host fantastic! Def rent a golf cart from Taste of Isla (online) for a fraction of the price you’ll find there at hotel and they deliver to you if you get it 3+ days. - other than that - the island and hotel was a nice get away. Food wasn’t the best but that’s all relative i suppose. We did end up eating out in the evenings a lot bc of it tho.

First of all, the hotel itself is beautiful and the room was fabulous. The biggest downfall was the service was very unpredictable which can happen at an all inclusive. We wanted to tip, but no one could give us change for larger bills and the administrative staff didn't seem to concerned about us tipping. Some of the employees seemed pretty unhappy, and I can only guess that is why. We thought the menu was great and had many options, but some guests felt differently. We are pretty chill travelers and we liked it enough to consider it in the future.
