The hotel has been recently refurbished and on arrival the reception area is spacious and clean. The staff on reception were very friendly and check in was quick. The room itself had a very large double bed and was very comfortable. The leisure facilities were good - it includes a small pool with Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and gym, all kept very clean and in good order. The hotel is in an excellent location close to the river and less than 10 mins walk from the RSC and town centre. We really enjoed our stay and would love to visit again in the future.

The Crown Plaza lies on the river Avon in the heart of Stratford upon Avon. Clean, pleasant and the pool, gym and spa made it extra indulgent. Within a 5 minute walk of all the bars restaurants and shops who needs the car. Shakespheres theatre is less than a 19 minute walk as is his house. We had a very special couple of days in a beautiful part of the country.

This hotel is a great location to walk into town. The hotel the has been upgraded throughout with a lovely outside seating area, however the swimming pool etc is in need of an upgrade to go in line with the modern decor of the hotel.

Absolutely perfect for us! Right in the midst of everything by the marina without being in a noisy area. The room was fantastic and spacious, pool was a bonus (kids only allowed in 10am-6pm which caught us out). The bar/outside and lounge area were absolutely gorgeous. Breakfast was great with lots of choice and a special mention to Mick the breakfast host who greeted everyone with such a friendly manner. All staff we interacted with were lovely and the parking was reasonable for overnight stay.

Have stayed here many times and as always it was very clean and comfortable, with a perfect location for thevtown. However, the reason for choosing on this occasion was the leisure facilities, but both yhe jacuzzi and sauna were not working, with the latter having apparently been briken for a number of weeks. Had i known, i would not have booked the hotel this time.

Beautiful hotel with very comfortable, quiet rooms. Central location with town and the RSC within walking distance. Great breakfast options. Good parking. Gym and (small) swimming pool available - changing room was freezing but that’s my only complaint!

Stayed here several times . Unfortunately the pool now has many damaged sharp tiles which is not good, especially for kids ! Leisure staff don’t acknowledge you when you enter - too busy talking ! Paid extra for lounge access , this opened 45 minutes late , by which time most people had gone off for their evening meal . I mentioned it at reception , heard no more ! Not as good ac it used to be . Many beautiful features but the room was a tired as are several areas and service

There is amble parking. The location is brilliant. I adore the outside space, relax with a coffee or glass of wine at the river edge. The breakfast meet and greet was refreshingly cheerful, the breakfast was very good value for money, clean, tidy and constantly replaced. We couldn't fault it. There are loads of areas to relax inside the hotel, all looked neat, clean and tidy. Check-in was slow and slightly awkward due to the receptionist accent and tendency to speak too quickly, and our age and hearing. It would be really helpful to have a map of the town, or some guide in the reception area. The spa poolside changing room was extremely slippy, could have done with a mop and clean up. The staff were ok. For the room, the bathroom was a bit tired. The bath was chipped, but all very clean, the towels were lovely and soft and extremely white. The toiletries were of good quality. Unfortunately we had some children in the next room with friends in the rooms opposite who took great joy in banging the doors! Annoying, but the hotel cant be blamed for that. In all, we we definitely be back.

The Hotel is light, airy and immaculately clean. The staff were delightfully friendly and helpful. My room was very comfortable and had all I needed. The location was perfect and the outdoor area of the hotel was very pleasant.

Hotel was lovely and clean throughout. The new terrace is really nice, I liked how there were little fires dotted around the place. Friendly and polite staff members and quick service. Good ambience - not too quiet where I felt of egg shells but also not too loud so I could enjoy my evening.

Lovely modern hotel and public areas excellent. Spotlessly clean and beatifully presented. Our room was lovely with plenty of space. Breakfast excellent but a small wait into dining room a couple of times. Pool on the small side but hotel overall excellent.

Had a really enjoyable overnight stay with my elderly father. The room was excellent spotlessly clean the beds were comfy. The best part of our stay was the breakfast- so much variety, and choice. All the staff from check in to the breakfast were so friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend, and look forward to staying again!

Lovely spacious, clean, pet free hotel. Nice bar area and garden terrace with a good breakfast buffet. We booked a standard king room. It was clean but the pillows were not supportive and the shower leaked. Overall a good stay and we will book again for our next visit to Statford.

An excellent stay. Very convenient for being tourists in Stratford. A very comfortable and well appointed room. An excellent breakfast really well presented. All staff very enthusiastic and very customer focused. Well done to all concerned. Only downsides were 1) very low water pressure meaning that you had to ‘run around’ in the shower to get wet, and 2) little or no soundproofing between rooms - we could hear distinct conversations within adjoining rooms (even though the guests were certainly not excessively noisy)

The hotel is in a perfect location, really close to the park, river, shops and restaurants. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel bar was also lovely with an amazing outdoor space and breakfast had a good choice of food and catered well for dietary requirements. The rooms are really nice and comfortable, although the sofa bed was a bit battered. The only real complaint was the noise from the air con unit in the room which was very loud and rattled, but everything else about the hotel was fantastic

We stayed in a standard double room on the second floor, the room was clean however the air conditioning was so noisy we couldn't sleep with it on and found the room quite hot at night. The bathroom was a shower over the bath with tGood location within walking distance to the town centre and attractions. Excellent location for centre and river, with plenty of parking. Room was at the furthest point away from the lifts, so nice and quiet but quite a hike to and from the room. Sofa bed didn’t have the thickest of matresses but the room and its facilities were sufficient for our one night stay. Fragrance in ground floor access areas was very nice.

Great location near the waterside. Alin on reception provided a swift and effiicent check-in. Spacious rooms with decent amenities. Liked that there was a physical lock on door, big tv, desk space and plenty of light. The blackout curtains were decent too. What could be improved? Small things but the main issue was with thin walls, i.e. no soundproofing so could hear people talking and closing wardrobe doors in the next room.

Excellent check-in and great staff. Lovely location to easily walk into Stratford, great outdoor area by the river. Comfortable bed and good sized room. Very busy in the hotel but service was still good. Would highly recommend it.

On arrival I had an issue with my booking(my own fault not the hotel’s or hotels.com)…the manager resolved instantly and beyond my expectations phewww. Hotel is in a great location/in the centre with its own parking(£12 per 24hours), stunning rooms and interior. The staff really couldn’t do enough for us. Amazing thank you(chocolates delivered) and would definitely recommend.
On arrival I had an issue with my booking(my own fault not the hotel’s or hotels.com)…the manager resolved instantly and beyond my expectations phewww. Hotel is in a great location/in the centre with its own parking(£12 per 24hours), stunning rooms and interior. The staff really couldn’t do enough for us. Amazing thank you(chocolates delivered) and would definitely recommend.

We had an amazing stay at the Crowne Plaza. Alain and Anna at the front desk went above and beyond—so welcoming, friendly and efficient. The room was spacious, clean and quiet, and just a stone’s throw from everything in town. The breakfast was AMAZING. Can’t wait to stay here again.

Below expectations for a 4-star hotel. Couldn’t find our booking on arrival delaying check in and frustrating other guests who were waiting. Toilet in room didn’t flush and waited 10 mins at the bar to walk away without a drink despite only 1 customer before me and three bar staff. The following day bar staff took more than 20 mins to clear away last customers plates from our table despite not being overly busy. Breakfast was fairly good and the lady running it was extremely efficient and pleasant.

Nice stay. The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and everyone had to stand outside for a while. Pretty funny and memorable. The staff handled it well.

Hotel is nice with AC and an elevator. Breakfast has a nice variety. We did the dinner included. Food was good but service was terrible. The last day a convention took over the entire hotel. We had checked out but had a 3:09 pickup. We sat in the lobby for 2 hours but were rudely accosted by 3 different hotel staff telling us the hotel was closed to outside guests. We had NO warning of this until a paper sign on the elevator the night before. We had a suite and are IHG members but were treated like vagrants from the street. Staff was so RUDE. We were sitting in a corner by the door quietly waiting but different staff kept coming to tell us the hotel was closed. We told the front desk several times but these staff strutted around with self importance. Never again

Staff were excellent. Our room wasnt ready at checkin time, they were apolgetic and offered us a drink in the bar. The staff across the whole hotel had a genuine caring and empathetic attitude to the guests which was nice. The facilities were great and walkable to RSC and town centre. Would recommend and stay here again. Ample parking at reasonable price for guests.

The Crown Plaza lies on the river Avon in the heart of Stratford upon Avon. Clean, pleasant and the pool, gym and spa made it extra indulgent. Within a 5 minute walk of all the bars restaurants and shops who needs the car. Shakespheres theatre is less than a 19 minute walk as is his house. We had a very special couple of days in a beautiful part of the country.

Excellent check-in and great staff. Lovely location to easily walk into Stratford, great outdoor area by the river. Comfortable bed and good sized room. Very busy in the hotel but service was still good. Would highly recommend it.

Beautiful hotel with very comfortable, quiet rooms. Central location with town and the RSC within walking distance. Great breakfast options. Good parking. Gym and (small) swimming pool available - changing room was freezing but that’s my only complaint!

Excellent location for centre and river, with plenty of parking. Room was at the furthest point away from the lifts, so nice and quiet but quite a hike to and from the room. Sofa bed didn’t have the thickest of matresses but the room and its facilities were sufficient for our one night stay. Fragrance in ground floor access areas was very nice.

Great hotel in a great location. The hotel is in very good condition. service for breakfast was excellent. we did not have the same experience for dinner when the team both on the bar and in the restaurant were not aware of customers waiting. There needs to be stronger leadership on the evening service. Dinner was Ok for £145 for 3 having 3 courses, this feels steep for average food.

Location was good, lots of amenities and easy to park. Outside terrace area and grounds were lovely. Hotel room was functional, bathroom had a constant smell of sewage. Room was too warm and the aircon did not cool it down. Breakfast had a good selection of food but typical buffet style and hot food was dry from being left under heat lamps. All in all a very average stay and very pricey for what it was.

All in all good hotel in a great location. Lovely outdoor area for drinks by the river. Breakfast is busy but great selection. Service at the bar though was very slow. Needs addressing as it is a busy hotel.

The hotel is lovely and in a great location for a nice weekend in Stratford. Our room was nice and clean, the bed was a little too soft for us and a king or queen bed would have been nice rather than a standard double. The evening meal at the hotel was not good. After waiting over an hour for starters and another hour for main course to arrive and then another thirty minutes for dessert (melted ice cream when it finally arrived), to say we were disappointed is an understatement. The restaurant was not busy and there seemed to be adequate waiting staff (all of who were very polite), but just a lack of anything coming from the kitchen and no updates or apologies for any delays. If we had not booked a dinner bed and breakfast package then we would have left. Unfortunately this spoiled a nice weekend break away. Breakfast was fine, again service staff were excellent, but a lack of hot food meant a very minimal choice of items in the buffet, and when food was brought out, it was pounced on by lots of hungry guests waiting for their breakfast. So the kitchen managers need to really improve. The hotel was good, but I would only stay for the room and eat elsewhere.

In general the hotel is excellent and very well located especially as one of our friends has mobility issues. The breakfast was excellent too. The only thing letting it down was very low water pressure making showering difficult and not enough bar staff leading long waits for getting drinks although the bar area wasn’t particularly busy.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel . The staff were friendly and our club bedroom Had air conditioning and was very clean and comfortable. We were able to use the club lounge and could have soft drinks and coffee from 8am to midnight. The breakfast and dinner meals were very good. We enjoyed sitting outside on the terrace and in the garden

Tv wasn’t working and we had to connect to the phone and stream it so luckily we knew how to do it but if it older generation they wouldn’t of know.. Shower was very poor and still had the top on as well as the shower running a nitemare to turn off considering this is one of the higher priced hotels the facilities wasn’t checked prior to us going into the room
