Days Inn Hotel Warwick South - Southbound M40

Had to pay car parking which is normally free if booked direct. Because we booked through Experian we were charged £5.

Great value at convenient location. Good parking facilities. Helpful staff.

Disabled parking right outside entrance to hotel, EV chargers right outside hotel. The lady on reception was absolutely fantastic, anything she could do to make our stay more comfortable and enjoyable was no trouble at all. Staff like her are few and far between nowadays. Hotel is due a revamp in the near future I believe, which will further enhance the facilities and stay experience.

It is a pity that the car park immediately in font of the Days Inn has now been converted to the environmentally unfriendly electric car charging points so robbing the hotel of close and convenient parking for guests

no hot water in the morning surprised to be charged an extra £5 for overnight parking...for a motorcycle! I'd be happy to pay £5 if there was something to lock the motorcycle to.

Not told about paying for car parking at the hotel, first we heard of it was when receptionist asked for parking fee. Bathroom sink had a massive creak right across the basin. Shower tray obviously had something stuck to the floor, since taken up and all the residue left, looked awful. The shower head was too high for me and had very limited movement with a spray of mist coming out from around the jets of water. Lights in room didn't work properly, door handles were taken off, untidy looking then knobs put on door, totally shabby 70s looking doors. The curtains were hanging off the rails and just left hanging. The mattress on both beds had big dips in the middle and the springs were extremely noisy. Maintenence is obviously not a high priority here, or the workmen doesn't have any skills.

Hotel has started charging to park if you dont book direct. Condition of hotel very poor. Carpets etc look and feel dirty. Bathroom floor was sticky. Only one plug socket in the room, nowhere near the bed.

The receptionist was very friendly. The bathroom was filthy, for example pubic hairs in the shower that hadn’t been cleaned. They hadn’t cleaned under the seat of the toilet. We were woke up to the sound of sawing as our room was opposite the utility room.

Really dirty to the point I would say unhygienic Carpets stained and dirty, disgusting built up of dirt and hair in corners of bathroom and whole room smelt horrible

It. Was so dirty.Blood on the bed is Stains on the pillows , I had to be moved to a Different room and in the bathroom was so dirty.My husband did not shower 2 days we booked 2 nights i will never stay in days in again

My room was spotless and bed and pillows were so comfy.very comfortable stay .and will definitely stay again . Only thing was the tele sound and signal kept going .otherwise 120 /100 stay .Thankyou .

Location is convenient to travellers and within the vicinity of Welcome Break. Cost of accommodation is affordable. However, property needs updating. Walls are moldy (bathroom), shower basin covered in stain, and the room smells musty. All of us woke up in the morning with bad cough. Booked for 3 but just provided amenities for 2.

Unfortunately we arrived the place smelt of cigarettes in the corridor we entered our room to find 100s of hairs all over the bathroom we had to place a towel on the floor so we did nt stand on them the bed had seen better days there was a massive rip in the bed frame and the mattress was so bad you could feel the springs and there was a dip in the middle of the bed we ended up sleeping on towels too as the bedding was hairy and made us feel dirty. Very upsetting experience

The receptionist on the night shift was friendly, however upon arrival was offered a room downstairs that did not match the description of hotel.com both the double bed and small bed had side panels ripped off and all the springs where hanging out on both beds, also the room appeared to have not been cleaned with shoe boxes over the floor and dirty bathroom, I had babys and toddler with me so this room was not safe, i was then offered room 120 however the room was also very dirty, bathroom had definately not been cleaned and there was stains all over the carpet, also bed springs were sticking in my back so was unable to sleep in the bed. It was not ideal for small children, i would not stay again it was very similar to a hostel.

Very dated hotel, room smelled and was dirty, shower had hair all over the wall and red mould everywhere. Bedroom Floor was wet and there was old receipts between the sheets and duvet. Window wouldnt lock as it had previously been forced open

Check in was wonderful, bath mat was dirty. Bathroom was clean aswell as the bedroom.

The reception staff where amazing and very helpful however the room was filthy! Curtains torn, hanging down, stains on the walls! Broken sink, dirty stained toilet, shower was dirty and stained. Carpets were torn and stained. £90 including disabled parking. Total disgrace! Not impressed.

Handicapped rooms are great. No stairs or steps, handholds in shower where most places you’re sure to slip! Generous with teas and coffee Window looks at parking lot, ground level, although by a M road convenience restaurants, very quiet

Staff were friendly on arrival but and beds were comfortable. The television did not work (the aerial had been wired directly into the socket not using the plug) and there was only one electricity socket for two people.

Needs refreshing and more plug sockets - only 2 in the room! Also could do with usb sockets for charging phones etc

Uncomfortable bed. No plug sockets next to the bed. Room and bathroom were very tired and in need of refurbishment.

Reception could not find my booking. Suggested I was a the wrong hotel. When fund I had to pay even though I had paid already. Room was noisy and the bathroom fan ran for a age.

Excellent service from staff.

The stay started badly when we had to wait for ages for someone to appear at reception to book us in. I had bookewd 2 rooms, one for my husband and me and a second for a german friend who was flying home the next day. I was booked into room 106 and our friend into 108, but the key cards got mixed up and we ended up with swapped ones and the girl on the desk said it didn't matter which one we took, which I thought a bit odd. When we got to our rooms, our friend's on had a very smelly bathroom and sticky carpets, so he arranged to change rooms and was put into 110. All three rooms had only one powerpoint in each, and that was by the mirror over the desk area, nowhere near the bed. Our friend has sleep apnoea and has to be able to pug in a machine to keep him breathing whilst asleep, but enquiries at reception, (eventually, as trhe lady had disappeared again) found that the hotel did not have any form of extension lead and had it not been that by luck we had a jo-jo reel in our car, we would have to have left the hotel and found somewhere else to stay. We didn't expect much at trhe price, but the ability to stay alive was a glaring necessity. Between 10:30 and 11:00pm when we were in bed and my husband was asleep a man used a keycard and walked into our room! I pointed out his error then after he left I engaged the lock and security chain. We discovered in the morning that the same had happened to our friend!!! The rooms had obviously been let again to someone else!

The phrase, it does what it says on the tin, springs to mind. It is a clean basic bed for the night, during an extended journey. It was quiet with the windows shut but inevitably you can hear the motorway with them open, which might be an issue in the summer, if your room is at the front.

Second time there. Easy to commute and nice comfortable place right at the Services on M40.

Great value for money for one stay - this hotel is located a service stop on M40. Rooms were fair size and clean and beds were comfortable

The property is situated in a very good location and is very accessible. I know this may sound contrite but the the noise from the motorway does not allow sleeping very well and in this situation better sound proofing would be ideal

* It was budget friendly. * It was conveniently off the M40 with fuel, car charging points, a Burger King, KFC & Starbucks within walking distance. * The staff were very helpful & friendly. * The room & bathroom were old & dirty. * The bed was one of those hotel beds that everyone dreads - it sagged in the middle & we could feel every spring. We did not sleep well because of this.

Very friendly reception, quick check-in process. Got a number of food outlets next to the hotel and lots of parking space.

The electric’tripped’ three times whilst we were there. For example ..You couldn’t put the bathroom light on if TV was on as the electricity tripped out.. the reception staff had to reset it every time. Very inconvenient for me and my husband who is disabled. It was very noisy being adjacent to a motorway; I don’t think the glass in the windows was ‘sound proof glass. We didnt enjoy the breakfast which you had to collect in a polystyrene box from the motorway service station. The meal wasn’t very palatable and very greasy.

Good value for money stopover - good sized room, which was clean and warm. With junctions a couple of mile north and south of the hotel, it was easy to get to local village pubs for a drink and food. Motorway services provide options for a good quality breakfast

For what we paid was ok. Staff were excellent and couldn’t have been kinder. Room was basic but had what we needed. The area outside was littered but mainly from Starbucks and smokers not necessarily staying at the hotel.

Really clean and well presented accommodation close to the motorway. Staff really helpful. Everything you want at a great price for a night when travelling. Food offerings in food hall next door just about ok if you like high street fast food. Some close at 20.00.
