The general standard of cleanliness is not very good, particularly the stairs going to our room were very dirty. The advert for our stay said that breakfast was included but it was not. Breakfast would have cost another £9. It also advertised parking although there were only 3 parking spaces. I had to park approx. 400m away from the hotel which was not ideal. The room is not worth £100 for the night.

The view over the painted front facades and roof tops of the Victorian houses further down in West Hill gave way to the sea and sky on the horizon. There was a gentle breeze coming in from the window cooling the high temperature of the day. The external lighting of the grounds was turned off around about the time I went to bed, so there was no light intrusion from outside - which was great. The clean, modern hard laminate style flooring in the room was clean and well maintained, with carpeted communal areas for sound proofing. Very nice welcome, comfortable double bed. Slept very well. The ensuite shower in my room was small, attractive and very clean. It looked recently updated with metro tiles and new flooring, the water pressure was excellent. Parking on the premises was easy.

Very nice hotel and pub, but was let down by one female member of staff who was very rude and therefore let the establishment down somewhat. But overall a nice place to stay.

Gosh. Crumbling frontage held up with scaffolding. Breakfast only served at weekends but given the grubby state of the staff and the hotel, i wouldn't risk it. Shower and sink so full of black mould i left unwashed. Dreadful place.

The hotel is dated and in desperate need of decoration. The bedroom floor was wood flooring which looked dirty and created a cold room. The shower handles were coming away from the wall. I did sleep well and the service I did receive was good.

Awful & outdated, terrible room, mould in bathroom, dirty windows, flooring unfinished, filthy carpets, dirty stale water left in kettle! Absolutely not worth £80 a night! DO NOT STAY HERE!

We stayed on a Sunday night in a HUGE family room. Beautiful high ceilings and a stunning stained glass window in an old building. The room was clean and had complimentary tea/coffee/milk etc and bottled water. The small bathroom was functional and clean and met all of our needs. The beds were comfy and we all slept very well. The staff were friendly and welcoming. No hot food was served but the staff had lovely recommendations for food nearby. There was no breakfast but we found a nice cafe nearby.

Could really do with some repairs and more attention to detail on the cleanliness. Noisy bed frames, creaky floorboards, a horrible damp smell, broken shower door handle, really old and damaged shower head, cracks on walls and the bathroom floor was lifting up. Staff was attentive and the location was ok, but overall not a great stay.

It is in dire need of a refurbishment. The walls need re-painting. New furniture is needed. I had a wardrobe where one of the doors was non existent because it was broken & a broken leg on a stool. The wind was very strong & blowing through the windows. I wouldn’t recommend this property.

If you are expecting the Ritz, well this isn't, however, at the prices it never could be. A very tired property. The shower was powerful with plenty of hot water. The bed was very comfortable and I enjoyed a wonderful night's sleep.

The general area around the hotel was old and a bit untidy. St Leonard's itself is not a great location for travellers. Our room was large and OK but the hotel was a bit rundown. Breakfast was only available on the week-end.

The hotel looked shabby from the outside, though our room had been newly refurbished. The owners were very helpful and were obviously trying their best. The ho tel is not manned at all times.

The 1876 property was in wonderful shape, the room had lots of channels on TV, and the staff was friendly and informative. And it was only a short walk to the seaside. My stop in St'. Leonard's!

The external lighting of the grounds was turned off around about the time I went to bed, so there was no light intrusion from outside - which was great. The clean, modern hard laminate style flooring in the room was clean and well maintained, with carpeted communal areas for sound proofing. Very nice welcome, comfortable double bed. Slept very well. The ensuite shower in my room was small, attractive and very clean. It looked recently updated with metro tiles and new flooring, the water pressure was excellent. Parking on the premises was easy.
The view over the painted front facades and roof tops of the Victorian houses further down in West Hill gave way to the sea and sky on the horizon. There was a gentle breeze coming in from the window cooling the high temperature of the day. The 1876 property was in wonderful shape, the room had lots of channels on TV, and the staff was friendly and informative. And it was only a short walk to the seaside. My stop in St'. Leonard's!

Gosh. Crumbling frontage held up with scaffolding. Breakfast only served at weekends but given the grubby state of the staff and the hotel, i wouldn't risk it. Shower and sink so full of black mould i left unwashed. Dreadful place.

We stayed on a Sunday night in a HUGE family room. Beautiful high ceilings and a stunning stained glass window in an old building. The room was clean and had complimentary tea/coffee/milk etc and bottled water. The small bathroom was functional and clean and met all of our needs. The beds were comfy and we all slept very well. The staff were friendly and welcoming. No hot food was served but the staff had lovely recommendations for food nearby. There was no breakfast but we found a nice cafe nearby.

The general standard of cleanliness is not very good, particularly the stairs going to our room were very dirty. The advert for our stay said that breakfast was included but it was not. Breakfast would have cost another £9. It also advertised parking although there were only 3 parking spaces. I had to park approx. 400m away from the hotel which was not ideal. The room is not worth £100 for the night.

It's true, this property is an older one but that's the reason we booked it, historical. There are on lifts, no air con but the location, the staff and the view from the top room were amazing. Shannon, Roy - the entire team was helpful and approachable. We stayed on two separate occasions in the same vacation and will be back again for sure. Bathrooms were clean and water pressure amazing for an old building. The new renovations for the top floor room was incredible - 360 degree views.

Absolutely great stay thanks to all the staff I met during my stay - lovely place. Beautiful garden, well appointed location for access to the seafront and the local attractions. My room had everything I needed for a cosy and comfortable night, the shower was easy to operate, warm with good water pressure. The Seaview was a bonus too! Wifi signal was strong, parking was free. 10/10

No room clean for the 4 days we stayed, musty smell when we arrived ,change of towels only when requested , small bins which filled and wasn't emptied .staff was friendly and helpful but wasn't happy when they would shut the bar early so I drank in a local pub instead for the remainder of my stay.
