Check in was very slow. The bar and restaurant were closed. The leisure facilities were reduced times 7-11am on both days we were there. Breakfast was adequate but choice wasn’t great - for £15 per person I would expect a better selection. There was a Beer and Music Festival on for the weekend and guests should have been made aware of this when it impacts on hotel amenities and services. The hotel should have notified hotels.com so they could advise guests.

Hotel was disappointing we booked because we wanted to use the pool which we had to pay £16 extra for 2 adults and two children. The changing rooms were dirty, the jacuzzi was broken and it just generally looked dirty and not looked after. Breakfast cost £42 the sausages were under cooked the cereal was stale, cutlery wasn’t clean. It was a expensive disappointment. There was a wedding on which was fine but we weren’t guests at the wedding but our room was in the middle of all the wedding guest so a lot of noise and disturbed sleep as the wedding party were in and out of all rooms all night.

The room was spacious and I liked the all in one wet room. The building is old so if anyone is outside or loud in the bar you hear it. The one thing to note is the pool is not free - it's 5GBP for each use, which is not quite what was advertised. There's also no lift so you have to carry all luggage upstairs.

Sprawling hotel lacking modernity. But comfortable and great staff. Excellent dinner in the Brasserie and swim in the pool, which was lovely and clean but an extra fiver which was not advertised on the website. My room was ok, but looked out over dirty linen bins at the back of the hotel.

Good sized rooms and really clean. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the first person at reception was neither of these which didn’t give a great first impression. Also it was a bit of a surprise that you had to pay to use the pool and leisure facilities as this was not made clear when booking on Hotels.com. I felt it was quite expensive, particularly for a family group

Worst hotel experience in a long time. No full time reception. You have to pay for gym and pool - so these are falsely advertised. Breakfast was acceptable. Staff when you could find them were helpful.

We stopped in the original part of the hotel. The room was simple but clean and tidy. It was a little cold when we arrived so we asked at reception about the heating. We were told it came on at 4pm but I think they switched it on earlier and they gave us an electric heater. Staff were extremely helpful and professional. We were attending an event at the hotel which was great fun. On the morning we went for breakfast, ,we had the choice of a small continental breakfast, cereal or a cooked breakfast Breakfast was good, only one item on the cooked breakfast wasn't available , a little disappointing but that happens sometimes. The poached eggs may have been under a heater so they were solid but the waiter replaced them with freshly cooked ones which were brilliant. Plenty of free parking. Overall it was a pleasant stay and would return, I'd like to go there in the summer as they have alfresco dining, big outside kitchen.

This was our 5th stay at the hotel,one if the attractions is the indoor pool & spa facilities, but they now charge £5 per head per night which is not made clear on their website or when booking. The room was just to say warm, but you couldn't turn the heating up at all, it was on full. Also now looking very worn and tired, probably because of the times it has changed ownership. This will be our last stay.

Not bad overall. The old manor looks quite imposing but the rooms were nothing to write home about. Pretty standard and quite comfy. I only had a standard room which was OK. The shower curtain in the bathroom smelt and was an unpleasant shower. Sure the premium rooms would have been better but shouldn't account for poor cleanliness

I can't lie... Definitely not a 4*... When we checked in, we were given a room where the bed had been slept in and there were used glasses everywhere - almost like a Goldilocks situation. Eventually, we were given a room that was "clean", if you ignore the several strands of hair in the bed, grimey shower and the pubes under the toilet seat. Overall, the interior is dated and not well managed. Other than cleanliness, the restaurant was closed on the day we arrived for a private function. Would have been good to know this in advance, or at least offer room service. Instead, a staff member suggested going to the festival they were hosting on the grounds, where we would have needed to pay entry. Separately, there was false advertising with the leisure facilities. On the first day, they closed 3 hours early (bank holiday, although would have been good to know in advance). The next day, we were then told we had to pay £5 per person for a day pass (this is not noted on Expedia). One lady staff member was good - very helpful on the bar. The rest of the staff were joking. I spoke to one as he was fleeing the reception desk, as I had a query about the gym fee. He said I'd need to speak to the manager and that one is on the way, then walked off. Nobody ever arrived. Overall, definitely not a 4 star experience.

I only stayed for the night, but hardly got any sleep. The room was not very clean, there was a dead spider on the carpet & the Bathroom smelt musty? The room was extremely cold, & there was a banging window / door from somewhere else in the building throughout the night. On top of this the TV did not work. The whole hotel is really due a refresh - lots of chipped paint & out of date decor.
I only stayed for the night, but hardly got any sleep. The room was not very clean, there was a dead spider on the carpet & the Bathroom smelt musty? We booked this hotel very last minute to coincide with a trip to West Midlands Safari Park. There was nothing else availabke and thought how bad can it be? Well, it was probably the worst hotel ive ever stayed in! Check-in was slow but pleasant enough. Got our key and were shown down a dark and dreery corridor which resembled a cheap motel. The reason it's dimly lit is so you cant see how terrible the carpets and corridor are. Once in the room we found a dead moth and dead spider under the window on the floor so it obviously hadnt been cleaned properly. I also removed hairs from one of the beds. To allow them time to sort this out we went to the pool (which costs £5/adult £2/child extra). The building is clearly in disrepair and smelt a bit. The pool reception doesnt make any sense, you arrive at reception, then taken through to another part to pay, then back to where you were. No sign in changing rooms for how to access pool and the floors were absolutely filthy. Pic of towels just from touching the floor whilst drying off attached. The whole business is clearly struggling and could seriously do with a visit from Alex Polizzi the Hotel Inspector as they are trying which is evident in the nice toiletries and the fact they even have the spa. We did not visit the restaurant or bar as we were put off by the rest of our experience and the place looks like it needs a complete overhaul. This should not be a 4 star hotel, I'm astounded that it is. I wouldn't recommend staying here

Cleanliness was lacking, the bathroom was grotty. There was also a music event on that was very loud until late. The restaurant was shut as a result of the event. I think we should have been made aware of this at booking we would have stayed elsewhere.

Bed was terrible, cheap and nasty. I even found myself checking for bedbugs as the room didn’t feel clean. They only gave us 1 shower towel. Shower itself didn’t feel clean, very dated and water pressure was just average. Lighting in there was terrible, was almost a blue light. No aircon in the room, we was on the ground floor to had to have the window open all night to let some air in (of what little air there was) then all we could hear was people talking on the carpark all night. Staff were very friendly upon arrival, however I don’t think this hotel is worthy of 4*. Needs a full retrofit to make it up to 2025 hotel sort of standards… power sockets at bedsides etc

Niggling bad points no plug sockets by the bed. Couldn't charge my phone overnite. A hook in the curtains was broken letting too much light in I didn't pay for breakfast, to expensive. A fellow guest did and says it wasn't worth the money. My main bad point. Quality of sleep was ruined by the guest in the room above pacing about very early in the morning. I understand the hotel can't control the guests actions but it seems to me some sort of noise dampening between rooms is essential, i cud hear this person walking. Shouldn't be the case.
Niggling bad points no plug sockets by the bed. Couldn't charge my phone overnite. A hook in the curtains was broken letting too much light in I didn't pay for breakfast, to expensive. A fellow guest did and says it wasn't worth the money. My main bad point. Quality of sleep was ruined by the guest in the room above pacing about very early in the morning. I understand the hotel can't control the guests actions but it seems to me some sort of noise dampening between rooms is essential, i cud hear this person walking. Shouldn't be the case.

Convenient stop over but very tired and dated. Smelt damp and musty when we walked in. We didn’t stay in the Manor House but in the attached block of rooms. We didn’t eat there as only a short walk into the town where there are plenty of bars and restaurants.

Don't trust the pictures. The images show the Manor house side of the hotel whereas if you go for a standard room you will be in the council house style annex on the side. For a four star hotel the place needs a lot of work. The handle on our bath was rusty to the point if you grabbed it you might cut your hand and the room had a few cobwebs round the place. Restaurant is seriously overpriced. £16 for sausage and mash which was tiny. I can understand why the restaurant wasn't busy. The staff were friendly though, and the price of the room was OK, so if you're looking for a quick overnight stay it's alright but I wouldn't want to stay for a long weekend.

Room was clean and tidy. Comfortable bed - a little high to get on to. Very quiet room which was great. Good bathroom - bath a little slippery but all in working order. Had dinner in restaurant both nights- good service and delicious food. Breakfast was disappointing - definitely not worth the price. Only one person serving on Saturday who was barely there, they ran out of bread on Saturday for toaster. Juices, water and milk needed replenishing both days - slow doing this. Hot buffet generally good but not well stocked. Sausages barely cooked. Only strawberry jam for toast on Saturday. No marmalade either day. It was ok but nothing special considering its location and how good it could be. Needs some investment and definitely more staff to make it eork better. A place that size shouldn't be run with a handful of staff but then again i suppose thats the sign of the times.

The paint work in the room was a bit slapdash with paint smubged on doors from door frame . This gave the place a dont care feeling Special offer meal deals were offered but had to be ordered via the app which i was unable to operate and staff member shrugged his shoulders.

My stay at Stourport Manor, although a short one, was very comfortable. Hotel facilities were exceptional. Unfortunately, due oversnoozing I didn’t get to sample their cuisine, except their full English in the mornings. It did feel they were maybe short of staff. The staff that I did interact with were very polite and helpful. Overall, no complaints whatsoever, would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone.

Excellent service Nice hotel. We were in old part. A little run down but acceptable. Food and bars were good. Nice walks. Was a shock seeing casualty filming ! We left our headphones. Phoned the hotel two weeks later and they sent them too us ! Excellent service.

We stopped in the original part of the hotel. The room was simple but clean and tidy. It was a little cold when we arrived so we asked at reception about the heating. We were told it came on at 4pm but I think they switched it on earlier and they gave us an electric heater. Staff were extremely helpful and professional. We were attending an event at the hotel which was great fun. On the morning we went for breakfast, ,we had the choice of a small continental breakfast, cereal or a cooked breakfast Breakfast was good, only one item on the cooked breakfast wasn't available , a little disappointing but that happens sometimes. The poached eggs may have been under a heater so they were solid but the waiter replaced them with freshly cooked ones which were brilliant. Plenty of free parking. Overall it was a pleasant stay and would return, I'd like to go there in the summer as they have alfresco dining, big outside kitchen.

Really enjoyable stay, so we extended. Nice old hotel in its own grounds so nice n quiet with a large car park with security cameras. The restaurant is comfortable with very reasonable prices, and the staff are very friendly and on the ball. Our waitress, Ellie, was really cheerful, professional and a local girl who found time to give some tourist guide information!

Booked this hotel as was near west midland safari park - when we arrived there was a massive firework display/ music that wasn’t mentioned on the website when booking / had to move rooms because of the noise with our 1 year old - went to use the pool the next day, was so cold - the heater had not been switched on so we could only stay in 5 - 10 minutes but was still charged full price..

The staff were all excellent, doing everything to please and assist guests. The property itself was clean and has huge carpark … but the property looks tired/old fashioned in parts. Our bedroom had nice big bed but it was as hard as rock, so not too comfy. Breakfast was ok & staff very pleasant in restaurant at breakfast and dinner. No doubt hotel is battling on after covid, however I would stay again if in the area and needed a room.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was satisfactory but was ratger dismal it had a small window and dark/dull furnishings woukd benefit from a update. I am elderly and had difficulty with the stairs but as they were full l coped. The food was amazing.

Check in was very slow. The bar and restaurant were closed. The leisure facilities were reduced times 7-11am on both days we were there. Breakfast was adequate but choice wasn’t great - for £15 per person I would expect a better selection. There was a Beer and Music Festival on for the weekend and guests should have been made aware of this when it impacts on hotel amenities and services. The hotel should have notified hotels.com so they could advise guests.

We enjoyed our stay overall, the bed was comfortable and we were upgraded to a family room. We were very disappointed with the breakfast, cheap produce, toaster didn't work. Teapots, cups and glasses where very small. We wouldn't stay again.

We had a good check in. Went to our room, which was clean and comfy. We had booked a table in the restaurant for our evening meal. I can only use the words ‘ping food’. I thought being a 4 star hotel the restaurant would have offered more! We went down for breakfast at 9.20 ( serving until 10) and were confronted with very little cooked food left! A large amount of bacon and sausage was eventually brought out but there was no sign of any eggs. My husband is GF, we notified the hotel before arrival. When we asked the young waitresses if the hash browns were GF they disappeared into the kitchen to ask and we heard no more, so the ‘ cooked breakfast’ was in complete

We arrived polite man on the desk , restaurant staff were very slow and all over the place , food came out , but waited for ages for cutlery , then my granddaughters fish strips had all black marks going through them , they looked awful for a child to eat , let alone an adult . Then had ice cream and again waited a time for cutlery . Just staff need to be more proactive with table service . Apart from that our stay was ok .

Note to all, do not book hotels like this one in summer that don’t have air con, you will not sleep! This hotel gave me a west facing room which was so hot that I did not sleep at all. They did at least provide a fan but that was just one small step up from useless at night. The room was too hot to sleep in and even the bed was unusually warm so I basically did not sleep. I feel like this hotel is nearing the end of its life for a number of reasons. Its very tired. The rooms don’t have air con which with the new normal for British summers is basically a write off getting any sleep. Also the bath/showers are really narrow and its impossible to shower without having the shower curtain stick to you throughout. In addition to this the water flow is really weak. The pool/gym is reasonable but let down by the tired hotel. There were hardly any staff available on a Monday evening and the restaurant shut early as they were so quiet. Breakfast has a very slim selection with the only cooked option being a fry up. Overall I found this place a sad shadow of a hotel that was probably semi decent in its heyday. I never write reviews but felt compelled to advise anyone thinking of booking this place in summer to think again! The Staff are OK when you can find them but I almost felt like I was staying in a ghost hotel at points because I hardly saw anyone. Overall not somewhere I will be going back to in a hurry. Will teach me to try somewhere different from my usual on a whim!
Note to all, do not book hotels like this one in summer that don’t have air con, you will not sleep! This hotel gave me a west facing room which was so hot that I did not sleep at all. They did at least provide a fan but that was just one small step up from useless at night. The room was too hot to sleep in and even the bed was unusually warm so I basically did not sleep. I feel like this hotel is nearing the end of its life for a number of reasons. Its very tired. The rooms don’t have air con which with the new normal for British summers is basically a write off getting any sleep. Also the bath/showers are really narrow and its impossible to shower without having the shower curtain stick to you throughout. In addition to this the water flow is really weak. The pool/gym is reasonable but let down by the tired hotel. There were hardly any staff available on a Monday evening and the restaurant shut early as they were so quiet. Breakfast has a very slim selection with the only cooked option being a fry up. Overall I found this place a sad shadow of a hotel that was probably semi decent in its heyday.
